Mo Yi's mother could have gotten over her humiliating past after having a man beside her and after she gave birth to a daughter.

Song Tianyi could have chosen to believe his instincts to look deeper into the matter rather than believing a stranger in his momentary rage and he could have dodged walking down the path of revenge. 

Mo Yi could have let go of her obsession for Song Tianyu and she could have avoided being a part of her mother's plans.

Tang Meili could have waited for Song Tianyu to come back to have a proper conversation with him.

''Where are they now?...Your uncle and his wife?"

''Former dead...Latter is sent to asylum. She has lost her mind after the intensive tortures,'' Mo Yuhan said, without missing a beat. 

Tang Li did not show much reaction on her face neither was she affected, ''What about our families? How will we tell them?"

''They will be handled by your brother. Don't worry.''

''But Dad won't be able to accept his younger brother's death.''

Mo Yuhan sighed, ''He has to accept it. Mo Liang should have died much earlier.''

Tang Li hugged Mo Yuhan, ''Everything is over...'' 

It was like the calm after the storm. Everything seemed peaceful after a long time and she felt very contended about it. She did not want to dwell on the past because it can never be changed no matter how one wants.

''Yes, it is.''

He stood up from the hospital bed before holding her in a Princess carry. 

''Where are we going?" She asked curiously, wrapping her arms around his neck. 

''It is a secret,'' He winked mysteriously. 

And damn at how easily that managed to give her butterflies. What was she, a teenager?

Embarrassed, she buried her face in his chest. 

And Mo Yuhan chuckled as he stepped inside the elevator. 

He brought her to the hospital gardens before placing her on the wooden bench. 

She rubbed her arms gently. It was way past midnight and the atmosphere was a little cold. 

Mo Yuhan removed his suit jacket before draping it around her. 

Her gaze landed on the few things placed on the bench. She picked up the album without paying much attention to the other two small packages. 

''Wedding venues?" Her eyes glimmered, ''Was this your anniversary gift? Are...Are we getting married...like officially?'' She flipped the pages.

Mo Yuhan nodded as he squatted in front of her with one of his hands on the bench, ''Well...that was the initial plan.''

Her fingers turning the pages paused as she blinked, ''What do you mean by it was...?"

''It was means it was. I wanted to marry you in the past,'' Mo Yuhan shrugged, ''I don't want to marry you now.''

Tang Li narrowed her eyes, ''Mo Yuhan, you dare!!'' She placed the album aside.

Mo Yuhan laughed, the sound of his deep masculine laughter tickled her heart. 

She glanced at him as her lips twitched, ''What kind of joke was that?"

''It's not a joke. We really are not getting married now,'' Mo Yuhan said seriously. 

Her lips parted as she glanced at him in disbelief. This man... Was he testing her patience or what?

Mo Yuhan grabbed her hand before placing a kiss on the back of her palm, ''Won't you check your other gifts?"

Her lips twitched, ''What other gifts? You are not marrying me anymore so why would I check my ex's gift?" She scoffed. 

He pinched her cheeks, ''Stop being petty. What I mean is we will have to delay our marriage plans a little longer.''

She sighed, ''I understand if you have work...'' With that said, she picked up the exquisite white box before opening it, ''These are so cute and they also look delicious...'' She glanced at the three chocolate cupcakes in the box, marvelling at how adorable they were, ''Especially this little cupcake...where did you get such cute stuff from?" Mo Yuhan stood up before sitting beside her as he glanced at the three cupcakes in the box. 

One large, one medium and the other tiny. 

''Short notice arrangement...'' He mumbled. ''Do you like it?"

''Of course, I love these. Thank you...'' She hugged him, ''What's my other gift, huh?" She placed the cupcake box aside.

She grabbed another box that was kept beside him before opening it curiously, As she glanced at the papers inside, she raised an eyebrow, ''Don't tell me it is another 10 % shares of Mo Empires? I won't accept it unless you accept my shares-'' She paused looking at the words written on the top.

'Pregnancy Reports' 

7 weeks pregnant. 

7 weeks. 

Pregnant.

Pregnant. 

Pregnant. 

Tang Li was stunned as that particular term kept repeating itself in her mind. 

''is it mine?" She tilted her head to look at him. 

"What do you think?" He raised an eyebrow in amusement. 

''I...am pregnant?"

''Yes.''

She blinked as the realization dawned on her. She pounced on him with her arms tightly wrapped around his neck, ''I love you.''

''I love you too,'' Mo Yuhan pulled her onto his lap. 

After recovering from her state of shock and excitement, she finally glanced at the box of cupcakes, ''The little one...''

He nodded. 

''Ah, I am so dumb. I did not get the hidden meaning...'' Tang Li glanced at the cupcakes. ''This feels so surreal.''

''Mmm..'' He placed his chin on her shoulder.

''I still can't believe it...''

The next morning. 

As Tang Li opened her eyes, she ended up smiling looking at the man who was sleeping beside her. He had one of his hands below her head and she was almost sleeping on his chest while in his other hand, he was tightly holding her pregnancy reports. 

And here she thought that he was calmer than her about all this. 

She raised her hand to his face, her finger stroked his prominent jawline before they moved towards his lips. Her hand was grabbed and she found herself looking into a pair of deep blue eyes.
