From Hogwarts to Strixhaven

Chapter 311 Men's Conversation

"James? Sirius? Where are you two taking Harry?" Mrs. White had buttoned up her clothes again, and looked at Harry being dragged away by his father and godfather on the left and right in confusion.

The gathering of the Order of the Phoenix had ended. After receiving Dumbledore's instructions, everyone left for their jobs. Even Mad-Eye, who had inexplicably caused a fight, had left No. 12 Grimmauld Place. The only people left in the restaurant were the wizards living here, including two Blacks, two Whites, and one Potter.

"Don't worry about it, Lily!" Mr. White walked out without looking back, "This is a conversation between men!"

Mrs. White shook her head to show that she didn't understand, and then looked at the only man in the restaurant who didn't follow him out.

"Childish men's conversation." Regulus said.

The three men, or one of them was a half-grown boy, sat neatly on the steps at the door. The heavy rain had not stopped yet, but the eaves above their heads gave them a small piece of clean ground.

In order to avoid Mrs. White's nagging about dirty clothes, Sirius used his wand to clean the footprints and mud spots on the ground before they sat down.

"You know why we called you out, right?" Sirius elbowed Harry, who was sitting between two adult men.

"Uh... I know?" Harry was obviously not sure whether he knew it or not.

"Of course it's for your mother!" James, who was sitting on Harry's left, put his arm around Harry. No wonder they looked more like brothers than father and son.

"Uh... yes! It's for my mother." Harry looked at Sirius beside him with a squint, hoping to get further hints.

Sirius sighed: "Harry, you have to protect her, you are a man, you have to protect your mother."

"But we are all in Hogwarts next school year, who can hurt her from under the eyes of Dumbledore and Ivy..." Harry's rebuttal was just halfway through, and he noticed his father's expression, so he immediately changed his words, "Protect her from who?"

"Who else?" Mr. White shouted angrily, but his voice did not go far in the rain curtain, "Of course it's Snape!"

"Uh...but I don't think he will hurt my mother..." Harry shrank his neck and said, "He has a special feeling for my mother."

Mr. White froze, he stared at Harry's face that was 80% similar to his in disbelief, feeling like he had suffered the most serious betrayal.

"You are already fourteen years old, Harry." Sirius said earnestly, "Haven't you ever met a very special girl? You want to bully her, want to talk to her? Or just want to play with her?"

"Why do you ask that?" Harry was a little confused, "Why do I have to play with other girls? I have Ron and Hermione! And Quidditch!"

Hearing him say that, Mr. White suddenly stopped being angry. He leaned over with interest and asked, "Tell me about Hermione. Although we watched the Quidditch World Cup with them, we still know too little about each other."

"Hermione?" Harry confirmed, his father and godfather nodded, so he had to try hard to recall the things about Hermione. He could talk about this for a long time, and he didn't know where to start, so he picked up Hermione's most prominent feature, "She is very smart..."

Harry tried to list a few evidences of Hermione's intelligence, but found that he couldn't stop once he started: "She can finish all the homework in a flash, and she has chosen all the courses, and remember all the rules of Hogwarts. You don't know how many bans Filch has! She remembers them all! She even memorized the super thick book "Hogwarts, a History of the School"! She can use a lot of magic that I don't quite understand... Although I am better at dueling magic, she can always recite some spells that I have never heard of!"

"And then?" James asked immediately, he has begun to be interested in this girl.

"She... is very disciplined." Harry thought for a moment, "She always stops Ron and I from doing stupid things, and when necessary, she will break the school rules. In her words, 'Remember these rules so that you can break them when necessary'. Once she decides on something, no one can pull her back, such as the House Elf Rights Promotion Association."

"What do you like about her?" Sirius coaxed.

Harry thought for a while, his eyes getting brighter and brighter: "I like to copy her papers! Hermione's after-class papers are always written quickly and well. Ron and I only need to refer to a small part, which is enough to complete the tasks assigned by the professors!"

Sirius covered his forehead: "No wonder I always feel that your homework is somewhat similar..."

Then he and Mr. White looked at each other and knew that the girl named "Hermione" was not Harry's lover, but his "mother".

"She is quite similar to Lily, right?" James asked.

"Completely different." Harry shook his head. He couldn't imagine that his mother suddenly became Hermione one day, or Hermione became his mother.

"Okay?" Mr. White had begun to understand the problem. The long absence of family affection had made Harry obviously not very clear about the things between men and women, and he had infinitely beautified his mother.

And Mr. White and Sirius knew very well that everyone has shortcomings, and one of the most important prerequisites for a long-term marriage is to be able to accept each other's shortcomings.

"You know Snape likes your mother, right?" Mr. White decided to speak openly, "In fact, they knew each other when they were very young. But he still has evil intentions towards your mother!"

"You will be the only one who will stay with Lily for the next school year, so don't let the snot take advantage of you!" Sirius reminded.

"But we will be back at Christmas?" Harry had a mysterious confidence in his mother, "and you are my father, she is my mother? How could she accept Professor Snape?"

"This... this is different..." Mr. White couldn't make his worries too clear, "Of course I trust your mother, but I hope you can be vigilant about Snape! Especially be careful not to let them have the opportunity to be alone!"

"Oh." Harry answered slowly, "Actually, I think Professor Snape is also quite pitiful. After all, you two are my parents."

Sirius and Mr. White looked at each other and knew that with Harry's higher sense of morality, he could not understand the third party in love.

Wow, I encountered a writer's card today. I don't know if I can finish 10,000 words. Let's start with one chapter...
