Chapter 7 Combat Genius

In the end, Odin’s plans of going to the church of the God of Wisdom failed. After he found out he could receive EXP by defeating the students from the combat club. Thus he chose to remain here.

After some self-introductions, Odin finally knew the man, the girl who stopped him, and the red-clothed queen were actually siblings.

The eldest brother was Carlot, temporary club president. The red-shirted queen was the eldest younger sister, Cardory, and was the strongest among the three of them. The girl was Carna and had not trained in combat skills, but was still working hard on training skills and exhibition skills.

As for the other boys, they were only extras. There was no need to care too much.

Odin began practicing training skills seriously after he knew combat training could earn EXP. Although his movements were not up to standard, it was done correctly. Every movement lasted for five seconds before changing to a new movement.

A message popped in front of Odin after he completed a full set of movements.

Odin was stunned when he saw this message. It was not because the content of the message was incorrect as it changed the data only. But this could not attract Odin’s attention.

The real reason he was stunned was at the end of the skill, there was a small “+” symbol.

He pondered for a bit before tapping the “+” symbol at the end of the skill.

At the same time, Odin felt his body was becoming hotter. When he did these movements, it was as if his muscles had memories of them.

However, Odin’s action had been noticed by Cardory. She glanced by the side before pulling Carlot aside.

Carlot landed his gaze on Odin’s movements as Carodory pointed. Odin’s movements were slightly different from the ones they taught.

“What’s his problem? Why did the movements of training skills change? No, I will let him change back.”

“No, bro. Don’t you notice? His current movements suited him the most. He instinctively removed some movements that were not suitable for his body, he is a genius. Keep him here, our Detroit Ground Combat club may become the strongest combat club in the city.”

Carlot shook his head after listening to his sister’s words. “No, training skills are the root of Detroit Ground Combat Technique. It can’t be messed around with.”

Just as he wanted to tell Odin, Cardory stopped him. “Don’t go. Don’t forget, how did the teacher teach both of us? After we practiced the training skills for a while, we also changed some of the details.”

Carlot glanced at Odin and harrumphed. He walked in front of Odin and the others. 

“Alright, today’s recruitment ends here. Later, we will go to the combat arena the school assigned for us. We will have a combat practice today so that everyone can feel the charm of combat. Then, Cardory and I will have a combat match and let everyone witness the power of our Detroit Ground Combat Technique. It will increase everyone’s confidence and I believe that one day, you can be as strong as us.” Carlot said as he walked towards the recruitment area. He directly lifted the table without using any strengthening skills and led the way. 

Detroit Ground Combat Club was a newly formed club, naturally, it was different from Wild Dancing Combat Club which occupied a large combat arena.

In fact, The one that the school assigned them was a warehouse next to a track field.

Carlot and the company cleared out everything in the warehouse. Then, they moved some sponge cushions to act as protection. Thus, a self-built combat arena was formed.

It was obvious this kind of basic combat arena was incomparable to the better one. The ground was concrete and a fall will hurt the entire body.

After bringing the new recruits to enter the combat arena, Carlot led them to practice the training skills once. Then, he began demonstrating their combat skills with Cardory.

The Detroit Ground Combat Technique was just what Odin imagined. It was similar to wrestling and instantaneous attack skills. However, compared with extraordinary power, it was slightly worse.

As if it wanted to break through and become extraordinary but was unsure how to break through.

This feeling was uncomfortable for those with some vision but was exciting for ordinary people.

Because the main attacking method of their combat skills revolved around knocking someone down and striking the enemy’s face or vital parts from top to bottom.

And what made Odin feel stranger was that they did not have any method to hold someone down. It meant that if the enemy had capabilities, they dodged by rolling.

Just as Odin was analyzing the problems with Detroit Ground Combat Technique, Carlot suddenly said to Odin, “Student Odin, why don’t you have a try?”

“Me?” Odin was confused why they looked for him again.

“Yes, after learning combat, how can you not try it out? Come, I’ll show you how easy combat is.”
