What is the"four souls" in the current practice in Japan?

Legend has it that both humans and monsters have four souls, namely the"lucky soul" representing love, the"wa soul" representing kinship, the"wild soul" representing courage, and the"strange soul" representing wisdom.

If the theory is put into the Taoists of China, it will be subdivided into the knowledge of practice of three souls and seven spirits.

But no matter how it is divided, it cannot be overlooked that it has two sides, good and evil, and Kikyo and the two monks are orthodox practitioners who mainly practice the good side.

The reason why the Four Souls Jade can greatly increase people's strength is here, and at the same time, because the obsession of the evil souls of the internal monsters has not been eliminated by the power of Cuizi's soul, it will continue to affect people's thinking.

This is why the Four Souls Jade eventually fell into the hands of Kikyo, a witch with extreme demon-breaking spiritual power and a pure and firm heart, and was guarded. Unfortunately, Kikyo was trapped by love, which led to a flaw in her heart and caused her practice to regress. Naraku saw the opportunity and used conspiracy and tricks to let Kikyo die with resentment.

Let's get back to the two monks.

The two monks were not stupid people. They naturally knew the crime of assassinating a daimyo. This would cause their sect to be rejected by various countries. It was because they were monks and what they did was sensitive.

It should be clear that five or six hundred years ago, there was a ruthless man among these monks who intended to interfere with the throne of the emperor. If the Fujiwara family had not joined forces with other nobles to suppress monks at the same time, the emperor of that generation might have been replaced by monks.

From then on, the status of Onmyoji began to be raised intentionally or unintentionally by the nobles, and they joined forces with the native Shinto to suppress the power of Buddhism.

This led to the fact that during the Warring States Period, although Buddhism was powerful and had ties with many daimyo, it was never able to truly rule a country's political power, and could only be divided into one"local emperor" after another."

""Alas, it was our fault. We thought that the fallen Hirafuku god was controlling the daimyo, hoping to expose his true colors. It seems that the monster's hiding method is really clever."

The monk said somewhat dejectedly. The two brothers have cooperated for many years and can be said to be in tune with each other. After learning that the daimyo had problems and the gods of the local shrine had fallen, they organized a plan in a short time, but they did not expect that the situation would still slide towards the worst.

Kikyo did not change her expression because of the monk's sighs. As a dead body, she did not have so many concerns about those well-trained and armed hundreds of soldiers. The impact of killing on her character was not that serious, not to mention that……

"That monster must have his own purpose in stealing the position of Daimyo. It is unlikely that he will confront us head-on with the power he controls. This will definitely cause great damage to his subordinates."

"The worst case scenario is that we are surrounded by an elite army of 100 people. My Shikigami, Firefly Grass, will take action."

General Lei Dian said calmly. Firefly Grass, who was eating dessert, raised her head in confusion. Why did it come to her again? But staying with the witch sister, she felt safe.

"Firefly Grass?"

The monk stared at the harmless Firefly Grass fiercely, remembering his series of behaviors towards her, and his heart was also trembling. You know, the monster in front of him can fight against the completely corrupted Pingfeng God with pure strength and remain unscathed.

"That makes sense. If I hadn't been lucky enough to see the power of this shikigami wielding her weapon, I wouldn't have known that her strength was comparable to those of the great demons."

"Firefly Grass is naturally gifted, otherwise I wouldn't have taken her in as my own Shikigami, but we still have to get things done."

……

Half an hour later, General Raiden and his party, led by Jiaohui's retainers, passed through the checkpoint in front of the castle tower and arrived inside.

Naraku also understood the"real" identities of the four people through his own little tricks. Two of them were priestesses who came down from the famous Narukami Taisha to train, and the other two were direct descendants of the Tang monk Jianzhen.

Naraku didn't know much about Narukami Taisha, but he knew Master Jianzhen very well. He was the one who helped Japanese Buddhism gain a foothold and expand rapidly.

If we take the records of later generations: he gave the Bodhisattva precepts to the Japanese emperor, empress, prince and others at that time; he gave precepts to more than 440 people including the novice monk Zhengxiu; he gave new precepts to more than 80 monks who had old precepts.

This is the beginning of the formal inheritance of legal studies in Japan.

Naraku dared not be careless in this regard, and he was 100% sure that his demonic power would not be dissipated, and the surface of his body would be the same as that of ordinary people.

"Thanks to you four, I feel better after getting rid of the monster. I can do some mild exercise in the castle tower!"

Naraku spoke first, and said in a joyful tone while General Raiden and his party were still at the door.

""You are too kind, daimyo. It is one of our duties to slay demons and protect the safety of the world."

Naraku did not take this to heart. He stared at Kikyo with fear and disbelief, but soon returned to normal, but his heart was still in turmoil.

Kikyo did not notice it at this time, because everyone bowed their heads to show respect to Naraku because of etiquette.

"I don't know the identities of the four of you yet, could you introduce them to me?"

The two monks took a step forward and answered Naraku's question:"Amitabha, my fellow disciples are practitioners of the Jianzhen lineage, my name is Yuan Gui, and my junior brother's name is Yuan Ju."

General Lei Dian also maintained a cold attitude at this moment, with thunder flashing in his eyes, and said very"kindly":"I am the great shrine maiden Beichen Meiyi who came down from the Narugami Taisha to travel, and this is the shrine maiden Kikyo who has just joined our Narugami Taisha."

"Mei Hokusatsu? Kikyo!"

Naraku's attention to General Raiden has increased a lot, because having a surname means having a noble status, and being able to become the chief priestess of the Narukami Taisha Shrine means that she represents one of the forces.

Then Naraku can't seduce her completely according to the plan just now, because the other party has a surname, he will have a more accurate understanding of the etiquette between nobles, and cannot be treated as a commoner.

General Raiden didn't know that Naraku was not afraid of her identity as the"chief priestess" of the Narukami Taisha Shrine, but was forced to change his attitude because of her surname.

At this time, Naraku also led General Raiden and his party to the room where the guests were to be entertained. He wanted to deal with them with his eloquent tongue, and at the same time, he also explored Kikyo's identity.

General Raiden and his party also cooperated very well, pretending not to know each other's identity, and went to the banquet hall accompanied by the samurai.
