When Zach was spending the night with Aurora, something else was going on in the church.

A group of ten players walked in and started yelling:

"Healer! Healer!"

The group consisted of six men and four women.

"Healer! Where is the healer?!"

All of them were injured and bleeding. Seemingly, as though they had returned from a battle.

A few seconds later, Ninia hurriedly came out of the room and rushed to the injured players who had already made their way to the altar.

"What are you doing?!" one of the players yelled.

"Yeah! Do your job properly!"

Without bothering to reply, Ninia healed all of them within a minute.

"..." Ninia was confused as to why they were making such a big deal out of their injury.

They were barely injured and bleeding from a small cut, which was harmless. Even if they had waited for the morning, nothing would have happened to them. They had lost only one HP. It was just like how one would accidentally cut their finger or hurt somewhere by falling.

Ninia had her guard up, and she was cautious of the group.

"That would be ten coins for healing you all," Ninia said calmly without showing any emotions on her face.

"Sure." The leader of the group moved his hand to his waist while saying, Let me grab the—"

Suddenly, four players surrounded Ninia. Two female players tied Ninia's hand, while the other female player placed a dagger on her neck.

"Heh! Dumb bitch!" the leader of the group said.

"Seriously, the NPCs in this game are dumb as fuck. One would expect them to be smart since this game is created by the gods, but no."

"What do you want?!" Ninia yelled. "You will get nothing from harming me."

pᴀɴdᴀ "We don't mean any harm to you, miss nun. Just tell us the way to your vault where you store all the money earned by healing the players!" he said.

"I have no idea what you are talking about. There is no such thing as a vault here."

"Hey, hey! Don't make me angry! I am asking nicely, right?! So you have to answer nicely too!"

"..." Ninia glared at them with a furious look on her face.

"Look. I truly don't want to harm you. But it's not like I care about yours or any NPCs' lives. But hey, they are the one who runs this world. If I kill you, the only none of this realm, there will be no healer NPC to heal the other injured players. I may not care about your worthless lives, but I care about my fellow humans who are stuck here."

"Are you saying we NPCs don't have lives?" Ninia asked aloud.

"What else?" he scoffed arrogantly.

"We feel the same pain as you all feel. We have a heart, we bleed, we also have a family, and we are alive!"

"That doesn't matter. In the end, you are just NPCs who are created for us players. Do you know the most worthless existence in any game? It's the NPCs!"

"Yeah, even the level 1 weakest monster slimes and goblins are more useless than you NPCs," another player said.

"Why are we wasting our time talking with this stupid bitch?!" the female player who was holding the knife at Ninia's neck uttered.

She pressed the dagger more and said, "Just tell us where the vault is, and we will spare your life!"

"As I said, there is no such thing here."

The female player pressed the dagger even more and scrapped Ninia's neck a little.

"I will slit your throat if you don't answer!"

"We already know that the nuns store the coins in the vault of the church, so there is no point in acting oblivious!"

"Just kill her already. We can find the vault on our own," one of the players said.

"Yeah. It should be in the church. If we scatter around and look for it, we will find it in ten minutes," another player said.

The female player gripped the dagger tightly and buried the dagger deeper.

STAB!

The blood dropped on the floor. However, it wasn't Ninia's blood. It was the blood of the female player who was about to slit Ninia's throat.

GASP!

The female player gasped in shock and pain as she saw the tip of the sword coming out of her chest.

"....!"

All the remaining 9 group members watched in horror as the female player's body turned pale due to the loss of blood. Her HP rapidly decreased as she lost her strength.

CLACK!

The dagger fell from her hand, and her body fell soon after with the sword still pierced into her.

Even Ninia was surprised, but she was left baffled after seeing the person who saved her.

It was Elina, and her nametag turned red in front of all the players.

"W-What the hell did you do?!" the leader yelled. "You killed my wife!"

Elina had the same baffling expression on her face as the other present there. Her hands were trembling, and her body was shivering. She couldn't believe she had just killed someone, but she had no other choice.

She was sleeping in the same room as Ninia, while Noah was sleeping alone in a separate room. When the players came and started yelling, Ninia woke up, but that also woke Elina up.

She stayed on the bed and waited for Ninia to return, but all she heard was yelling. She then peeked from the door and saw Ninia was taken as a hostage. She acted on impulse and did what she had to do. If she hadn't killed the female player, she could have killed Ninia.

"No…" the leader bellowed with his wife's body in his arms.

"..."

The other players had surrounded Ninia and Elina, and they were ready to kill them. They took out their weapons and waited for their leader's order.

The leader glared at Elina and said, "Kill the nun, but leave this bitch to me!"
