Golden Experience

Episode 115: Collaborators have been sacrificed.

There was only a neighbouring country, and the city called Hugel Cup was very far away.

It took me about a whole day to say that I was flying without so much speed to match my bran.

It makes me feel somehow, but probably at the same speed as the dove I caught in Hills the other day.

That would mean flying a pigeon would take a whole day, and I can say that the bibliographic pigeon is beyond the distance it can be used. Then you can assume that not many countries fly pigeons to neighbouring countries.

"Heh. But that's not necessarily true if you're with someone who's 'serving' a pigeon, is it? I guess if I die, I can just fly it again, and make it do to some extent dangerous."

"It is...... I see. I can't say enough."

In the Diaz story, "The Servant" said something that would put a strain on the body. If that's true, we should be cautious about the number of family members. Doving one of the frames in it seems a pretty courageous decision.

But if the city and the nation are on the move, it's not strange to have someone to do that.

"Bran is amazing..."

"No hehe"

In Rare, he often points out things that I tend to overlook rather than think about alone. Even with SNS and the like, I just see things that I wouldn't dare look at that thread title thing. But thanks to that, I'm sure it's helping.

"I still wonder if you were right to follow me"

"No! I'll just protect you!

"You can count on me."

Eventually I see something like a big castle.

If there were to be such a large castle, it would be ruled by a nobleman so close to the centre, or even a nobleman of great merit.

Is it possible, for example, that Rae was the first to think, that the royal family succeeded in exile and renounced its sovereignty at that price?

─ No, it's too soon for that.

The fact that it took me a day to fly this far from Ernthal shouldn't make it possible for Wang Capital to come by road in one day, even though it's closer to here.

But if the knight here had killed the Hills royalty, he would have left the city at about the same time as the destruction of the king's capital, killed the royalty, took it right back to the city, and told that player.

To make this possible, we must know in real time the fact that King Hills' capital was destroyed and that the royal family left the city for asylum. By what means is that possible?

"... yeah. I trust Bran, but I still don't think it's a trap aimed at me."

I don't know what the motive is, and I don't feel like delivering information to Rae.

"Uh. I think it's definitely something suspicious.

Anyway, we're gonna get to the city, but what do we do? You're going into that castle?

"No, that's just...

What I need is a knight, well, if I tell you what, he's the nobleman of that owner.

I'm here because I left without a trace... What shall I do? "

Coincidentally, I got the information I wanted so much that I could get my hands out of my throat that I was getting tense. In addition to that, the fact that I was going out with friends was very heartening.

"In the meantime, let's go down to the edge of the city discreetly and brainwash and listen to the right residents with 'charm'"

"No, Rae. Isn't it impossible to be discreet with that visual? And that's what you call listening in? Categorically, I was wondering if it was closer to a drug confession."

"Oh, there's a" camo "in" Light Magic, "so you can hide yourself."

There seems to be a disagreement between the two of us about listening, but we can't help it.

"Then let's go. Then let's just find the first victim!

"The first collaborator."

I turned my listening collaborators into ashes and finished cleaning up after.

"You fit in with the victim! When you're done with it, you're done!

"That doesn't mean I don't lose my memories of being 'fascinated'. The moment we met, it was already decided."

Given the efficiency, there's no choice.

"But it sounds like a fairly well-known fact in this city. I didn't know even the average inhabitant knew about the demise of Hills.

Even if it's been an extra day since then, if the information is known to the end of a city of this size, it doesn't seem wrong to assume that someone is mumbling for some purpose. "

"I knew it was a trap."

It's not necessarily a trap yet, but I'd say we've got a reason to be vigilant. What Blanc was saying made sense.

"Well, he's only the first, and it's possible that he just happens to know now. Find the next victim and collaborator."

"... yeah Soudane"

But there are some things to be aware of.

That's the choice of victims, collaborators.

You can't mistakenly hook up with a player or something like that with NPC.

According to the story of Bran, who has' fascinated 'experience, when he is in a' fascinated 'state, he is unable to take any action of his own volition, and there is a mysterious pink effect on the person who has' fascinated 'him.

The effect itself probably doesn't matter, but even in this state the consciousness was clear and it was simply unable to move with feelings like gold bondage or something.

I could 'fascinate' the NPC to throw up the information this one wants, but I don't think I can do that to my players.

It is obscure how far that "system" refers to, which is systematically equivalent, but I am not convinced if I think about it this way.

NPC is a "character with an AI with a thinking ability" and up to AI is part of the system. In contrast, a player character is a state in which the player operates a "character with an AI with zero thinking ability", and even if manipulated with "charm" or the like, it is only affected by an AI with zero thinking ability. This zero-thinking AI is like an avatar manipulation aid tool, which is no different from other games, etc.

"What about that hypothesis?"

"Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. Oh, you always think about that?

"No, not always. No, maybe you're thinking about it? Just don't put it in your mouth. Now, look, um, well, because someone was listening."

"Ask as many as you want. What do you say? Because I'm not smart, heh! Only......"

"No, that's fine. Talk to me now. Okay, but I just wanted you to hear it."

Nothing. It doesn't matter if the hypothesis is true or not. It's like chatting. Rae and I are not familiar with anything like that.

"I hope so. Rae, are you feeling pretty lonely? My only child?"

"I don't know..."

My sisters don't have very good memories.

But that's a rare problem, and it's not like telling Bran. Perhaps the air just gets heavier. Or they might laugh.

"More than that, well, what do you want to say is avoid players and look for victims?"

"You've already said the victim completely. But are there players? This isn't a borderline city, either. I mean, what do you mean, inland?

"Right. But at least the person who wrote to SNS should be in this city, and it doesn't mean he's not here because it's an event period."

It's just hard to tell the walking player from the NPC. For this reason, victims target as many shoppers as possible.

NPC would take out a purse that's been left somewhere, but it's rarer for a player to have a purse. Because gold coins can be kept in the inventory.

There do exist players who are careful not to use inventories to blend into the city, but usually in this case they pretend to take gold out of their pockets and such naturally. Rare used to do the same in closed tests and such.

That would also work if you were an opponent who didn't know the inventory existed, but it's unnatural in itself that someone who thinks commonsense and does quite a bit of gear or something like that, like a player, is pocketing gold coins unwrought.

Since the aim is not to distinguish NPCs from players, but to avoid players, it is only necessary to exclude those who are at risk of doing so at all.

I mean, it just targets people shopping with their wallets. I don't have a wallet or anything, if I'm not a player who plays a role with so much caveat in mind.

"Besides, if we're that close to Gatilor, we might be able to help."

"Will you cooperate...? Speaking of what we're doing at the moment, we're just grabbing the city's residents, brainwashing them, killing them, and obliterating evidence... Rae, I like collaborators..."
