As the name suggests, this porpoise only lives in the northern part of the Gulf of California, Mexico, with a habitat area of ​​less than 4,000 square kilometers, and is very far away from China.

The Gulf of California porpoises live in the same sea area as the Gulf of California totoabas, and their sizes are similar or even smaller.
