Gourmet master of the Pokemon world

#405 - Robbery and being robbed

According to Ange's navigation, the Shade Jungle is a lush and dense tropical rainforest area where various delicious ingredients can be harvested.

Sure enough, they had only just entered the jungle when Fairy Eevee came running over, carrying a bundle of fiddlehead ferns with its ribbons.

"Fee ya~ Fee ya~" Ange, Ange! Look what I found!

Its expression was full of excitement, with a hint of novelty from the adventure.

Fairy Eevee recognized the fiddlehead ferns because Steenee and the others had brought them back before, and Ange had cooked them.

Ange happily took the fiddlehead ferns and put them away, then patted Fairy Eevee's head and said, "I'll make them for you later."

"Fee ya~ Fee ya~" Fairy Eevee immediately ran off happily to look for other ingredients.

After a while, Genesect came back carrying a pile of colorful mushrooms. Ange said, with a mix of amusement and exasperation, "We already have so many mushrooms we can't finish them all, and you're still picking so many, and some of these are even poisonous!"

The mushrooms Ange grows at home are of much better quality than wild ones, and the taste is more delicious. There's really no need to pick these wild mushrooms.

"Cough cough~ Cough cough~" But Genesect didn't care about that. It insisted that Ange take them all and cook them for it later.

Ange said helplessly, "Okay, okay, I'll take them all." Though he said that, he secretly picked out the poisonous parts and threw them away.

"Remember, you have to eat them when I make them!" Ange gave Genesect a warning.

Having gotten used to high-quality food, he didn't believe Genesect would still find wild mushrooms delicious.

Time passed in the blink of an eye, and half an hour later, Ange and the others gradually entered the depths of the Shade Jungle. The trees they saw along the way became taller and taller.

The ingredients here were indeed exceptionally abundant, but the most common were still various mushrooms.

They did encounter all sorts of Pokémon along the way, such as Paras, Parasect, Morelull, Pikipek, Toucannon, and so on.

The Pokémon here were very gentle. When they encountered Ange and the others, they always silently hid in the distance to observe, and would not rashly approach.

With so many mushrooms growing in the Shade Jungle, Ange suspected it might be related to the large number of Paras and Parasect inhabiting the area, after all, they liked to plant mushrooms everywhere.

Ange also encountered a Kecleon. If he didn't have the ability to use Aura, he really wouldn't have been able to discover these hidden creatures in the jungle.

"Komala, haven't you found a favorite piece of wood yet?" Ange asked, touching the Komala on his head.

However, Komala just turned over and didn't answer.

Ange had no choice but to continue searching.

As he walked, he suddenly heard faint groans coming from the grass not far away.

Vulpix, who was not far away, also heard it. It ran over ahead of Ange. When it pushed aside the grass, it saw a Pokémon that looked like a mangosteen lying inside.

The main part of its body was red, with three green sepals on its head, and the lower part was white, like exposed pulp, extending into two small feet.

Ange immediately recognized its identity.

Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokémon, a pure Grass-type. It exudes a sweet fragrance from its body, so it is often attacked by other Pokémon.

The sweat it produces is very sweet and delicious, like juice, but if it is not diluted with water, it is too sweet for most people and Pokémon.

Mallow has a Tsareena, which is Bounsweet's final evolved form.

The reason Ange and the others heard groaning was because Bounsweet's body was covered in wounds, obviously from an attack.

Seeing Ange and Vulpix, Bounsweet looked a little scared and shrank back into the grass. It had thought about running away, but the pain on its body prevented it from getting up and moving.

Ange walked to Bounsweet's side and, after examining it, found that most of the injuries on its body were burns, with some poison attached.

Fire and Poison-type Pokémon from the Alola region, that must be Salandit and Salazzle.

Thinking this, Ange first used a Cheri Berry to heal Bounsweet's burns, and then a Pecha Berry to detoxify it.

Happily, Audino was still with Ange, so he released Audino and said to it, "Audino, please use Heal Pulse on Bounsweet."

"Tabunne~" Seeing Bounsweet's injuries, Audino's face showed distress. After gently picking it up, a pink light burst out from its body.

Bathed in the pink light, Bounsweet's injuries gradually recovered.

"Amaii~ Amaii~" After Audino's treatment, Bounsweet felt its body immediately lighten up, so it thanked Ange and Audino.

Looking at Bounsweet, Ange suddenly had an idea. Why not take it back to be a sous chef for Passimian? He felt they would be a good match!

With Bounsweet's help, Passimian would definitely be able to make even more delicious juice drinks.

Just as Ange was about to ask Bounsweet if it wanted to go with him, he keenly sensed an Aura rapidly approaching them.

Because he was in the jungle, Ange had been keeping his Aura active.

He looked up and, sure enough, saw a Salandit watching them intently from the treetops.

Seeing it, Ange couldn't help but wonder, Salandit shouldn't usually live in the jungle!

Salandit, the Toxic Lizard Pokémon, a Poison and Fire-type. It generally lives in volcanoes and dry rocky areas. A single individual is not a very strong Pokémon, so it often acts in groups.

Its evolved form is Salazzle.

Like Combee's evolution rules, male Salandit cannot evolve. Only female Salandit have the qualifications to evolve into Salazzle.

After evolving, Salazzle secrete powerful pheromones, causing male Salandit who are fascinated by the pheromones to obey it unconditionally.

It is said that Salazzle's pheromones can be diluted to make sexy perfumes.

Seeing that it had been discovered, the Salandit in the treetops immediately launched an attack on Ange and his group, spitting out globs of poison from its mouth, shooting towards Ange and the others.

Seeing this, Vulpix leaped into the air and activated its Aurora Beam skill, manipulating a beam of colored light to hit the opponent.

The Aurora Beam collided with the poison, instantly freezing the poison into an ice sculpture and dropping it to the ground.

Salandit was certainly not willing to be outdone, and quickly spat out a series of fireballs to attack Vulpix.

Seeing this, Vulpix quickly launched Moonblast in retaliation.

However, whether it was Fairy-type skills or Ice-type skills, they were all resisted by Salandit.

Coupled with the fact that Vulpix's level was not high, it was gradually falling into a disadvantage.

Fortunately, at this time Ange had already leaped into the air and then smashed down with a punch.

Salandit completely didn't expect Ange to attack. It was caught off guard and knocked unconscious.

Seeing that Ange was so powerful, Audino, holding Bounsweet, immediately clapped happily.

Compared to the others, Six Tails seemed a bit dejected.

"Gon~" It walked up to Anjay and gently nuzzled his calf, asking if it was too useless.

Anjay crouched down and stroked its back, comforting it, "You're still young, as long as you work hard and train, you'll get stronger soon."

"Gon?" Really?

Six Tails looked up and asked.

"Of course." Anjay replied affirmatively, "No matter who it is, they rely on training bit by bit to become stronger. No one is born strong."

"Gon~" Comforted by Anjay, Six Tails' mood improved.

Over there, Sylveon and Genesect heard the commotion and quickly rushed over.

Upon learning that Litten had attacked Anjay and the others, Sylveon angrily lashed out at Litten with its ribbons.

However, after being whipped by Sylveon, Litten actually woke up slowly.

Its first reaction upon waking up was to run away, but before it could even take a step, it was restrained by Sylveon's ribbons.

Anjay looked at it and asked, "Tell me, why did you attack Steenee?"

"Nya~ Nyamu~" I... I was just too hungry.

Litten replied with a ashamed face, Steenee smelled too fragrant and looked too delicious.

Anjay asked in confusion, "Why are you alone? Shouldn't Litten be in groups? Also... logically speaking, you shouldn't be living in this deep forest, why did you run here?"

"Nya~ Nya~ Nyamu~" Hearing this, Litten burst into tears.

From its cries, Anjay finally understood the reason.

It turned out that it originally lived near the lava pool on the summit of Wela Volcano Park.

Recently, a powerful Ninetales came to the lava pool. It was very gentle and patiently taught everyone how to control flames, so everyone liked it very much.

But one day, the guardian deity Tapu Lele passed by here and noticed Ninetales' existence, so it kept pestering Ninetales to play with it.

However, Ninetales was unwilling, so Tapu Lele was angered and launched an attack on Ninetales.

Ninetales naturally didn't want to be beaten for nothing, so it decisively fought back.

The battle between the two powerful Pokémon caused the volcano to shake, scaring everyone, so they fled from there.

After listening to Litten's story, Anjay frowned. Was Tapu Lele really that willful?

Speaking of Ninetales, Anjay suddenly thought of Loke. He wondered how it was doing now and where it had traveled to.

"What was the final result of the battle?"

"Nyamu~" Litten shook its head, indicating that it didn't know. It ran faster, so it didn't see the result of the battle.

Because there was a reason, Anjay didn't blame Litten too much, but instead gave it some food.

After receiving the food, Litten ran into the bushes in a puff of smoke. Before leaving, it didn't forget to glance at Anjay.

After Litten left, Anjay then asked Steenee, "Steenee, would you like to come with me? If you follow me, you won't have to worry about being attacked again."

"Amaai~ Amaai~" Steenee didn't hesitate at all and immediately accepted Anjay's invitation.

And so, Anjay continued to head deeper into the forest with Six Tails, Sylveon, Genesect, and Stufful holding Steenee.

However, after walking a few steps, he noticed that Litten's aura was still following him not too far away, and it hadn't left.

He stopped and shouted in the direction of the aura, "What are you doing following me?"

However, only a rustling sound came from the bushes, and Litten didn't show itself.

Helpless, Anjay had no choice but to pretend he didn't notice and continue walking forward.

About ten minutes later, Anjay encountered another Fire-type Pokémon attacking another Pokémon. This time it was a Magby.

Sylveon didn't hesitate to step forward to stop Magby and brought it to Anjay's side.

After some questioning, Magby's situation was the same as Litten's. They had both fled from Wela Volcano Park because they were too hungry, so they robbed other Pokémon.

Anjay gave it some food and released it as well.

However, he soon discovered that Magby and Litten had gotten together, and the two of them were following behind him.

About half an hour later, Anjay encountered a Fire-type Pokémon again, but this time it wasn't attacking other Pokémon, but himself.

The reason was that everyone had been walking for a long time, so Anjay suggested taking a break on the spot and eating something to replenish their strength.

This suggestion was unanimously approved by everyone.

So they found a flat piece of grassland, spread a picnic cloth on the grass, and then Anjay took out the desserts that Magearna had prepared for him from his backpack.

Donuts, cakes, cookies, mille-feuille, double-layered milk, fruit pie...

And the drinks prepared by Passimian.

Everyone leisurely sat on the grass and enjoyed themselves, as if they were on vacation (in fact, they were on vacation), which was really a special treat.

Stufful, Steenee, and Komala (school) were eating so many new delicacies for the first time, and their mouths were almost too busy.

Don't look at Komala being in a semi-sleep state, but its eating speed was no slower than anyone else's.

Steenee was completely fascinated by the various desserts and sweet juices, and was very grateful that it had accepted Anjay's invitation, otherwise it would not have had the opportunity to eat such delicious food.

When it learned that it was going to be an assistant to the creator of the juice, it was even more excited and jumped up and down.

Obviously, it liked this job very much.

Stufful was indeed a medical Pokémon carefully cultivated by the Joy family, and had a very gentle personality. In addition to eating by itself, it also took care of Steenee, who had no hands.

Just as it was about to put a donut in front of Steenee, a red figure suddenly fell from the sky and instantly snatched the donut from its hand.

After snatching the donut, the figure didn't fly away, but landed directly on a branch not far away and began to enjoy it.

Everyone looked up and saw a Talonflame standing on the branch, gobbling it down.

It finished a large donut in two or three bites, and Talonflame let out a satisfied burp, then noticed that Anjay and the others were all staring straight at it.

A trace of panic flashed across its face, and it quickly flapped its wings and flew up, trying to escape from here.

However, Genesect's speed was even faster. With a flash of its figure, the Electric-type move activated, turning into a white light and crashing into Talonflame.

After a wail, Talonflame fell to the ground.
