Chapter 25: The Pure-hearted Gu Chenge

When he heard the sound of footsteps, Gu Chenge put down the teacup in his hand. He followed the sound and turned his head. His gaze fell on the woman who had just walked in. 

He was slightly stunned. He could not help but glance at her from top to bottom. Cheng Nuo was wearing a dry hair cap and a mask on her face. She was wearing a bathrobe and slippers. Her dazzling white feet were exposed.

It was as if she had gone home.

Gu Chenge lowered his head and chuckled. The man in black standing at the side thought that he had heard wrong. He quietly raised his eyes and saw Gu Chenge’s slightly raised lips, extremely surprised. The CEO’s usual face was as cold as the snow in December. Even if it was not a straight face, it was still an expression. 

Today, he had actually smiled in front of them for the first time. This could be a ghost story for his brothers.

Cheng Nuo crossed her arms and looked coldly at Gu Chenge, “CEO Gu, aren’t you being too bossy? I just took a shower at home and didn’t even get to change my clothes before your people brought me here.”

Gu Chenge didn’t say anything. He just looked at her indifferently, silently sizing her up. There was a smile on the corner of his mouth. 

Cheng Nuo frowned, “What are you smiling about? Is there something on my face…” As she said that, she raised her hand to cover her face and touched a wet patch.

She forgot to take off her mask! She quickly took off her mask and revealed a fair and tender little face. Her facial features were exquisite and small, and her skin was fair. After taking off her mask, she glared at Gu Chenge and looked at the bodyguards beside him. She could not help but feel a little embarrassed.

How did those bodyguards manage to come over without changing their expressions? She snorted and asked, “Where’s your bathroom? I need to wash my face.”

For some reason, she didn’t feel uncomfortable at all when she came to Gu Chenge’s house. 

This man had gotten someone to come to her house early in the morning to torment her. He had almost scared the little guys, so she had to teach him a lesson.

Gu Chenge did not refuse. He looked at the bodyguard behind him and said, “Take Miss Cheng to the bathroom.”

The bodyguard understood and bowed his head respectfully, “Yes.”

The bathroom on the first floor was very close. After Cheng Nuo carefully washed the essence off her face, she casually took out two pieces of paper and wiped the water off of her face. She looked up at the cabinet and immediately walked out. She walked a few meters in front of Gu Chenge with her hands on her waist. She looked down at him and frowned, “Where are the skincare products? I want skincare products.”

The cabinet in the bathroom was full of men’s products. There was not a single skincare product for a lady. Cheng Nuo could not help but sigh in her heart. This Gu Chenge had been too pure and destitute. 

There was no impatience in Gu Zheng’s tone as he turned to the bodyguards and ordered them, “Go buy them. Quickly.”

The bodyguard immediately left after receiving the order. There was a shopping mall near the Villa District. Ten minutes later, the bodyguard returned to the villa with a paper bag. 

Cheng Nuo saw the logo on the bag, realizing it was a top-tier brand product. She did not expect Gu Chenge to be so generous. However, Cheng Nuo was not pretentious. She simply reached out and took the bag as if there was no one else around, beginning to protect her skin.

Gu Chenge did not say anything throughout the whole process. He just looked at her indifferently. Cheng Nuo wiped her face as she thought about her situation, but she could not figure it out no matter how hard she tried. 

What did Gu Chenge mean by calling her here? He got a few men to bring her here early in the morning, but in the end, he did not mention anything serious. Was he playing? There were still a few babies waiting at home!

After the skincare procedure was completed, Cheng Nuo could not help but ask, “Why did you call me here? Are you playing house with me?”
