Lesson one: The Incidental Spirit Users
At the Sylvana School of Magic, all students must find other positions by the age of twenty and leave voluntarily unless they become assistants or other college staff.
The ceremony of graduation in other schools does not exist in this college. The opportunity for the whole class to get together is also missing if you realize it, as students get more and more scouts and fall out after the "Spirit Selection Rite".
Five years after receiving The Spirit of Choice Ritual at the age of fifteen, until the age of twenty. The time given is enough for the average student, but a student who has pulled off the spirits doesn't mean that if he did it normally first, he would be scouted to get a job.
The users of the Elemental Spirit can be used militarily as an instant force, and the absolute number of magicians is low, so they pull on every aspect.
It is not easy to overturn the assessment of which spirits are excellent and which are inferior, derived from two hundred years of history in the College.
I thought I signed with the Spirit of the 'Grass' at first, but it was' Spirit of the Plant 'to be exact. Since I signed the contract, I've been able to hear grass and talk to trees. But hearing voices is causal, and when flowers blooming on the side of the road are about to be trampled on by people and they ask for help, they can't let go.
Even today, I was walking around the college courtyard and listening to the plants.
The Spirit who dwells in the great tree, arguably the Lord of the courtyard, has been planted since the beginning of this College, so to speak, like an elder. As I approach, he faintly shakes the branches and greets me.
"Jicha, you're better than yesterday. Tell me if you get too many branches again, 'cause I'll give you a haircut."
I suppose cutting branches would normally be called pruning, but since I could talk to trees, I've seen them in the same way as creatures. So, 'haircut'.
"Sorry, glass. We can't cut the branches ourselves, so if it gets too heavy, I'll ask you again. This is all I can thank you for, but can I please you? '
"I want to do it, so thank you... but you'll do it."
"Look, I want to thank the glass, too."
Until not long ago, the branches had become too heavy and burdensome on the trunk, making them quite weak. Nobody in the college came up with the idea of 'branches spreading and trees weakening due to their weight'.
I thought the branches were brilliant, too, and I thought I had no choice because it's life expectancy that withers away. My perception changed dramatically when I was able to talk to the plant spirits - because plants live with a lot of things in mind, and when they're in good shape, they can get sick.
The elder is a 'fig' tree, and the fruit hasn't grown yet in this season, but he only matured two faster for me and dropped me off the branches.
"Thank you. If you make fruit that way, won't your body be burdened"
'There's nothing like this. Originally, the magic school soil contained more magic than any other land. The drained force should be sucked up from the soil again'
Sometimes that can be done because the elders are long lived spirits.
When I showed my thanks again with the fruit, I greeted him again and headed to the courtyard lounge just around the corner.
I've always liked the long idle sights I see from here before I welcomed the Spirit of Choice Ritual. Even if that was one of the reasons I was chosen by the plant spirits, I like to spend time in nature, and I think eating while looking out at the trees is more of a pleasure than anything else. So no matter how Dr. Hendrick or the other teachers treat me, I won't break my heart.
(Though the dreams of the court magician have virtually been cut off. If you have a track record in other positions, you may never be able to do so. I want to think so)
I've been filing a petition to take the court magician's exam for two years now, but they've just dropped me for seeing the spiritual lineage. The average score for an exam should be above the average, as I have more time to spend studying seating than I can take classes with other students.
I can't help it if it's rotten. I sat in a wooden chair in the lounge, spreading cloth on the table and putting two figs on top of it.
"... Brother Glass, I knew I was here"
"Oh, Leslie. The elders gave me fruit. It looks delicious."
Although fig juice is said to be susceptible to rashes, the state of the fruit varies according to its relationship with the plant. The fruit is sweet enough to become familiar, and the toxic ingredients disappear or can be fortified depending on the application.
The fruit that the elders give me is not normal figs, and the fruit juice does not irritate the skin. When I say this to someone, they say, 'There's no way that's happening,' and they don't believe me - for me, even plants that are considered toxic can get rid of poison depending on the dialogue.
