Episode 61: The Humiliation of Snomta 1 - War Begins
Battle of Snomta.
It is a battle commonly known by the name of "snomta humiliation".
This battle of Snomuta is a major showdown between the Holmeer State and the infamous Son of Destruction. The impact of this battle on the history of the West Side after this is significant. As if to prove it, statements about this battle can be seen in several literature, including "West Side History" and "Philosopher Senes' Book of Fame" and "Lamites' Epic".
In any literature, however, there are many unclear parts about what the battle of Snomuta was like. There are differences depending on the literature, and in some cases the exact opposite is written.
For this reason, examining the battle of Snomuta in modern times would require multilateral reflection, such as illuminating the descriptions of multiple literature.
However, there is only one thing in common in multiple literature in which different descriptions of such contents have been made.
That means that the battle of Snomuta was more numerous than the army of the "Son of Destruction" by the Holmeer National Army.
So how much difference did there make between the two sides of the force?
With regard to the forces on the part of the State of Holmea, the "Hippolios' Notes" will serve as a reference. According to this, the forces on the side of the State of Holmea called them both 30,000 and 40,000. The author, Hippolios, was a person on the Holmea side, but it is hard to believe that he even let that personal notebook contain falsehoods. For that reason, this would no doubt be considered what the Holmeer State was actually calling it.
However, it is an error to make this number look like a pelican swallow.
At that time, it was normal to increase the total number of soldiers in their own armies by water to encourage allies and intimidate enemies. Even if Hippolios himself wrote the truth, the nomenclature of the Holmeer country on which it was based should be seen as an already watered down figure.
At this time, it was customary, he said, to call the total number of soldiers in his own army doubled from 50% of the real number. On that basis, it is more reasonable to consider the real number to be about half of the nominal.
Taking into account descriptions such as the length of the formation of the Holmeer National Army and the records of the heavy (soda) squadron found in yet other literature, that number is estimated to be in the order of 15,000 to 20,000. This is roughly the same number as the presumption that it is about half of the nominal, which would support the fact that it was actually not much different from this.
It is even more difficult to estimate the "Son of Destruction" side against the Holmeer National Army, where such a presumption is made.
That's because of Soma Xaki. I wonder if he has watered down his army by more than a dozen times and hustled, because on the contrary, he is inconsistent because he changes it from time to time, such as saying less than half the actual number and spreading it to induce the enemy to be alert.
For this reason, it is also said in the "Notes of Hippolios" that at this time the "Son of Destruction" had designated the number of soldiers as five thousand, but it is difficult to determine whether it was fulfilled and watered down or vice versa.
As reference is made to the descriptions in other literature, the number of soldiers cast by the Son of Destruction into the battle of Snomuta is by virtue of that literature. From fifteen thousand, which is roughly the same number in many things as in the Holmeer countries, to just about a thousand in fewer.
For this reason, in the Battle of Snomuta, it was one of the seeds of controversy among historians for many years about how many soldiers the Son of Destruction had thrown.
However, in the "Memorandum of Understanding of Shemr", discovered in recent years, descriptions have been found of the forces of his own army spoken of by Soma Kisaki himself, who made the battle just before.
According to this, there are four thousand main Zoans, four hundred elves, and about a hundred Dinosaurians and Harpurans combined to the extent that Dwarves and humans each have slightly more than a thousand. Altogether, they said there were about seven to eight thousand people.
Where plots are not involved, Soma Xaki is also known to have been a fine person in the numbers. It is hard to believe that Soma Kisaki purposefully communicated false figures against Shemr, who trusts both her own half. From that, too, I would be sure to assume that this figure was quite close to reality.
In other words, the battle of Snomuta was roughly double the battle between 15,000 and 20,000 for the Holmeer National Army and between 7,000 and 8,000 for the Son of Destruction.
This two-fold difference between the two armies ended the formation and confronted each other "at a moment (when) the sun burns more than this," according to the Secretary of the Army of the Holmeer Nation. This falls between 9: 00 and 11: 00 a.m. in modern times.
This era takes a lot of time because soldiers wake up at sunrise and then feed them before formations are made. But still, this is taking too long.
It took so long because of Alexius, who led the crusaders. Alexius behaved heavily on the food to the soldiers, and even gave them a post-meal break on it. The secretary of the military praises "that's the king's margin" for this.
The air of the Crusaders, which I can only assume is a victory that can be perceived from the description left by these secretaries of the service, would also be natural if we consider that the number of soldiers in our own army was twice that of our enemies.
But the end of it is for everyone to know today.
◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆
Standing on a slightly taller hill, Alexius had a pleasant look on his face.
What spreads beneath his eyes is the appearance of his own army, which has finished its formation. The sight of more than 15,000 fully armed soldiers in a neat formation had something that shook my heart, even if it wasn't Alexius.
Alexius looks up slightly. Then, far away, we could see the sight of rebel slaves forming themselves against each other.
The rebel slaves also seem to have divided the army into five parts according to this one.
Not sure in the distance, but first there were four hundred troops in front of them that seemed to be elf archers. Behind them are the Zoans, who will probably be the mainstay of the rebel slaves. And the number thereof is quite four thousand. However, it was just a group of people who stood by as they liked, and could not be said to be a very good team.
Doesn't this make you any different from a bunch of bandits and bandits?
Alexius leaked a smile.
In addition, there are two Dwarves and a mixed human force beside both such a population of Zoan. But they're all only about a thousand people, and they won't be the enemy of this tank unit.
And it's the enemy's main line that makes you laugh, too.
In front of the rushing fort, which is rumored to have been built, there is a black flag that is large enough to be seen from so far away. That would be the general flag of the "Son of Destruction" I hear rumors about. Under that flag, I'm sure you'll see the head of these rebel slaves.
But there are only about a hundred or two hundred of them as far as I can see, even though it is the main force where the enemy generals are. Perhaps there are enemy soldiers in the fort too, but they are too crude nonetheless.
"Your Highness. Something wrong?
Alexius looked at the rebel slave formation with a mockery, and an officer dressed in black armor called out there. And Alexius frowns slightly.
An unfamiliar looking officer, but seeing him wearing black armor makes him look like a "black-walled" officer. But among the "black-walled" officers, refraining by their side has always been a Huakis.
"What happened to Huakis?
Besides, the officer answers with an unfamiliar face.
"If Lord Huakis, this battle is an important battle to regain the prestige of our damaged nation. For this reason, we say that we will directly command the Black Wall, and we command the Second Army."
When I take off my black helmet, I hold it beside me and give it a compliment.
"Only today will I take the place of Lord Hyuakis, and this Adomius will refrain by His Excellency's side"
It was last night that this Adomius was asked by Huakis to stay in the Fifth Army led by Alexius. To that sudden request, the Adomius asked with a laugh.
"Are you tired of babysitting, too?
A babysitter is a sarcastic term for Alexius' aides among the "black-walled" officers. My colleagues joked about Huakis, who had been taking on the role ever since Alexius became a "Blackwall" general, and said he was a "babysitter".
"Well, that's what it is"
Huakis answered vaguely, but Adomius knew.
Among these "black walls," Huakis is the officer who was closest to General Darius. Such a sense of respect and loyalty to Darius is something even other officers have to admit.
That Huakis has been known for his hatred of Darius, or he has assisted Alexis in making derogatory remarks about Darius every once in a while, for one thing, because of his word to the Holmeer nation of Darius. But even with Darius' words, I guess that was a day of patience.
For such a Hyuakis, the opponent you are about to fight is a hateful enemy who defeated that General Darius and painted mud on his honor and career. Huakis' desire to beat it down with his own hands was painfully clear.
But Adomius dared to pretend not to notice the thoughts of Hyuakis, something he joked about and said.
"Well, it would be good. Sometimes babysitting isn't bad."
Not knowing that such an exchange had taken place, Alexius allowed Adomius to refrain by his side, laughing small enough that he did not have to be so intent on the rebel slave crusade.
And then Adomius says thank you.
"Your Highness. The soldiers are already ready. All you have to do is wait for His Highness's decree."
And Alexius nodded heavily as though he were majestic.
Then I got into a tank for my own commander.
Alexius' ride was a large tank with six horses standing. As he purposefully chooses a six-headed tank with two escort warriors, one drummer and one drummer apart from the commander, his clandestine confrontation with Darius is questioned.
However, what is very different from Darius' large tank is that the chair for the commander is approximately four melts (about four meters) high on top of the bamboo. Now Alexius says while in the tank, he will look over the entire battlefield and take command.
Alexius does not know, however, that it is called the "audience" in the shadows among the "black-walled" officers.
"All right! Strike the drum of the war!
At the behest of Alexius, who sat in a chair for the commander, a giant drummer with a naked upper body (Koshiju) lifts his arm muscles and begins to beat a drum full of strength. Fitted with the sound of a big drum that rocked his gut, all the soldiers in the Crusading Army struck and rang the weapon in their hands, poking the ground with a spear stone clash, "Oops! Oops!" he says loudly.
It reached far away Ethereal Horse.
When the Ethereal Horse smiles small and bitter, he tells Shemr, who is holding back behind his right.
"Apparently, there are no pre-war ambassadors."
If the two forces meet in this age, it is normal to assert one another's own authenticity and enter from a tongue battle between the opposing non-speaking military ambassadors. The absence of it means that the Holmeer National Army does not regard this one as a reciprocal enemy, but is only going to suppress it as a rebel slave, I guess.
"Right," he agrees with Shemr, who is outraged that it's something that licks this one at all, and then the Ethereal Horse also speaks up.
"Let me raise my voice."
Shemr nodded with a dull nod, then slapped the drum that was hanging on its hips. Then, following that, Zoan, the liaison from here and there, starts beating the drum to the clap of Shemr's drum.
Everyone began to raise their voices, skinning Zoan, who wasn't even there.
Alexius and the Ethereal Horse thus raise their voices almost simultaneously, anticipating that the momentum of each other's armies has reached its culmination.
"" Move the soldiers forward. Yikes!
The Battle of Snomuta - it is the beginning of a battle whose name is once again called "The Humiliation of Snomuta".
