Lesson 126: Cage Castle

"Have the rebel slaves attacked us so far already?!"

Prince Gordia raised a screaming voice to an army that appeared before the city of Gatzen.

It was the slaves who made the rebellion within Holmea that came in his place as the Great General he was waiting for. They were once rebel slaves who had even provided financial assistance to weaken the Holmea State, but it was clear that they had just revealed their distinction by means of a parent book or were already hostile to the Romanian State from interfering with the King's capital, the Holmenian offensive.

Still, however, the opponent is only a small force to occupy the local cities of the Holmeer country.

When I saw the guys who were insulting me like that actually came pushing me over into tens of thousands of armies, I still said, "No way! I had to think."

"My father-in-law - what's wrong with the Grand General?! Hasn't the decree arrived?!"

To Gordia's question, the general also had to answer with confusion: "We have not yet received any transmission".

There were several other reasons why this had happened, besides the fact that Pipi had ruled out the first commander.

Firstly, the resurrection of Gallam. When he regained consciousness, he immediately resumed his intense pursuit of Darius. Gallum, who had already woken up to his power, could not afford to burn his hands and care for Prince Gordia in the opponent's retreat.

Also, if you head to the city of Gatzen while under pursuit, if Prince Gordia has trouble retreating from the city, you will be taken there even by this young Zoan fierce general. Dalaios, who feared it, ordered the entire army not to go straight to the Masarca Gate Fort, just like Piata.

As a result, with the exception of some soldiers whose transmission could not be made in time, the majority of the Romanian National Army bypassed Gatzen and headed towards the Masarca Gate Fort.

Naturally, Darius had issued a decree telling Prince Gordia to that effect. But already by that time, the troops "nets" led by the bird general Pipi and the Zougs led by them, Zouan's guerrilla forces, had reached around the city of Gatzen, and all such decrees had been eliminated. Moreover, the scourge that Gordia issued to find out about the war situation was similarly witnessed.

Many of these conditions overlapped, resulting in the sudden appearance of enemies in front of Gordia.

But Goldia isn't the only one who's unexpected.

Even if I took it to the Ethereal Horse, this situation was unexpected.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"All armies cease. Let me be thorough so no one leads."

The Ethereal Horse, who issued a stop order to all troops in front of the city of Gatzen, creased between his eyebrows.

The Romanian National Army is in a state of destruction, and the only rebellious Hall Army is the Ethereal Horse, which has led its own troops to rescue the city of Gatzen, which was now fallen by the Romanian National Army, but this is a situation that was not envisaged.

I already knew there were a handful of enemies left in the city due to reports from Pipi.

But in the distance, the city walls are worn out. The main gate consisted of wreckage, and instead it was filled with earthworms.

I can't do a cage castle or anything like that. I thought if we saw ourselves, we would escape at first sight, and I stood and caged in the city to see what we were thinking.

It's easy to take this down. The problem, however, is the flag with a wolf that also resembles the flag of King Dordea, whose army is standing on the city wall. I tried to obtain confirmation from someone who had been informed of the Romanian state, and that meant a flag showing Prince Gordia, the first heir to the throne of the Romanian state.

"I'm having a little trouble with this."

The Ethereal Horse became blurred by this situation. Shemr asks when he hears that.

"What's the trouble? If you have a great enemy, you can snatch him, you can take his neck, right?

To Shemr, who just says what needs to be bothered, the Ethereal Horse, who twists his head about what to say and explain, tells the analogy story.

"What if Shemr hears that I am left alone in enemy territory and surrounded by enemies on my way out?

Shemr responded instantly to this.

"That's impossible."

Shemr looks so good at the amazing Ethereal Horse.

"There's no way this I'm going to run away with 'you under the umbilical'. If Soma is left in enemy territory, there must always be me there."

Against Shemr, this analogy was a failure. He was a pale horse who thought so, but he manages to move on forcefully.

"For example, yes. For example. - And, see. Maybe I'll be the fool and stay away from Shemru. If you were Sheml then, you'd always come and help me even if I put myself in danger, wouldn't you?

And Shemr nodded, um.

"I see. Soma could do something stupid like that."

The Ethereal Horse wanted to say, "No, don't be easily convinced there," but if you say it, it will be disputed a hundredfold, so keep quiet. I don't realize that. Shemr continues to be good at it.

"No matter how pathetically dumb 'You Under the Umbilical' is, there is no falsehood in my vows. Naturally, I'm going to hang my whole body to help Soma."

The Ethereal Horse stroked his chest down in a ho, even though he finally got the words he had hoped for.

"I mean, that's what I mean. I don't think the generals and lords of the now defeated Romanian nation are as loyal as Shemr, but you just can't abandon your own prince. I'm sure he'll try to rescue you."

If the generals and lords of the Romanian nation also fled leaving their princes in enemy lands, their faces would be rounded.

If it is only in the face to be hurt by it, it is still better. Under a pact that says we will fight according to the king's orders, the generals have their salaries, and the lords are guaranteed territory. If you abandoned the prince and ran away with it, the worst is death. Even if it were spared, he would be dismissed from the general position and the territory would be confiscated. Then just because you don't die doesn't make you any different from a capital crime.

If that were to happen, the now defeated generals and lords would also stop and return their heels (bitches) for the prince's rescue.

"If that happens, we're in trouble this time"

The Ethereal Horse was not optimistic about their situation.

We seem to be overwhelming the Romanian National Army now, but the fruit of it is just what we left to momentum and numbers. Not to mention that the majority of those numbers were also mobilized by burning ordinary people who were originally non-combatants. If the opponent is crumbling, that's fine, but if they take a counter-attack, they could crumble lightly.

"The overriding ideal is to capture the Romanian prince before the rescue arrives..."

As long as we can secure the identity of the Prince, we will be able to use it for negotiations such as full withdrawal from the Holmeer State and compensation payments, subject to its liberation.

But even if it's easy to take down the city itself, there's a question mark if you ask me if I can secure the prince's identity. It would be troublesome if they were killed in the midst of a riot or even self-harm if they were not humiliated by prisoners. If that happens, the generals and the Hordes of the Romanian National Army will not be able to return home even more congratulations. Now you must come at me with your determination not to retreat by flying the flag of the prince's hatred.

Given that, the city could not be attacked very much unless it was also a certainty that it would be able to hold onto the prince's figure.

"Besides, it's time to pull the curtain"

The pale horse who said so makes a face like the one in his mouth, even if it is sinister.

Already at the Ethereal Horse were given a number of barbaric acts against soldiers of the Romanian State by the people of the Holmeer State. The tragic content of it was that even though it burned itself, the Ethereal Horse had to face it.

Although it can be said that the Romanian National Army has always done whatever it wants, it is just time to pull the curtain.

The Ethereal Horse speaks to an elf archer who was nearby.

"I wonder if someone could get me someone"

And the pale horse spake the name of a certain man. Shemr shows his face with a grand glance as he drops off an elf archer who graces it and then walks away.

"Hey, Soma. Calling that fucking dickhead means you're not fighting, are you?

Besides, the Ethereal Horse makes one nod.

"Let's end the fight now. I want Prince Gordia back."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Inside Gatzen's city, generals and hounds, who had retreated around Prince Gordia and his sides, were face-to-face consulting.

But the atmosphere on the ground is heavy. No matter how much Prince Gordia asks for a statement or suggestion, the generals and the marquis just groan each other's complexions. Even if someone spoke occasionally, it was usually only a reaffirmation of the status quo.

Everyone already knew that.

The only way out is to abandon the city and retreat with the whole army, he said.

But there's no way the Son of Destruction will look at it with his fingers around him. It will necessarily be heavily pursued. To stop it, someone needs to fight in the garrison.

However, if the enemy forces gaining momentum become opponents, the total annihilation of the Imperial Army is imperative. We cannot hope to survive. If so, who will be pressed into the role?

In other words, they were holding each other back to push the Imperial Army against the man who offered to retreat.

Even while that was how the Romanian state side was wasting its time, the Ethereal Horses who were outside the city were starting to move.

When the Ethereal Horse besieged the city in a faraway winding, he began to build a base wall there.

To that sight, one of the generals tells Prince Gordia.

"This is what the Dwarves prefer."

The Dwarves preferred a way to build a base wall and literally siege it when attacking a castle or city.

Normally, a siege is a siege in a siege battle, but if it is not as large an army, it is done by placing troops at a stronghold. Then there's really a gap, and we often miss a few enemy soldiers.

It is for those reasons that soldiers can go to their allies for rescue from castles often besieged by comics, novels, etc.

But if you try to impose a complete siege, the individual siege walls will really fade. Then there is no point in easily breaking through and besieging the enemy.

But if there is a base wall, even a few can stop the enemies that have struck out. It is also good to move other soldiers to fight for enemy soldiers while the enemy is at the base, and to take away the emptied castle.

But naturally it was only because it was a dwarf with high civil technology that could be achieved.

In any case, if that base wall is completed, the Romanian National Army, no longer in the city of Gatzen, is a bird in a cage. It remains the thoughts of the rebel slaves in an attempt to boil or burn.

Besides, Prince Gordia screamed.

"How is my father-in-law?! Are you telling me that the slaves have taken me?!"

The only hope is the rescue of the great hero of the Romanian country, General Daraios. But that rescue hasn't come for long. Gordia panics into a situation where she doesn't even know if that's all or if the Admiral is safe.

But neither the generals nor the marquises who were there had the information to answer it.

The only thing that scares me when they besiege the castle is not being cut off from replenishing water and food. In a way, it is the disconnection of information that scares me more than they do.

I don't know my situation.

Nothing would scare me more.

Are your allies here for rescue? Maybe we've been abandoned? Isn't that all or have all the allies but ourselves been wiped out?

What's the matter, those suspicious demons are born. There's no other way to dispel the suspicious demon that was born that way than to know the right facts. But if you can't find out that fact, what happens?

A little ghost named Doubt Dark grows into a tremendously gigantic ghost.

One soldier rushed in when the princes of Gordia were about to be crushed by that enormous ghost.

"So, Your Highness! The messengers of the rebel slaves are here!

Often, silence fell. Gordia says in a trembling voice amid unusual tensions like a death row prison welcoming officials who pronounce the death penalty.

"Get through here. - Don't be rude."

There were no longer those who complained about "what to do to the messenger of every rebel slave" in the second half of the words, which I added after a few moments.

After a while, from beyond the open door, I heard a small, tall noise called katsunkatsung.

It is the sound of poking the floor of the passage with a wand covered with metal on a stone poke. The spit someone swallowed sounded unusually loud in the sound of a cane that was regularly engraved as if to mark time.

And finally, a rebel slave messenger showed up at the door.

"Holy shit. Big adults have dairy discharge in dark rooms since daylight."

It was the old man - Solon - who looked miserable with his immortal white beard stretched all the way to his chest, who also threw up the scorn obviously.
