Hakai no Miko

Episode 4: Return Order

The Ethereal Horse, which marked the end of the Holmeer kingdom by the destruction of the crowned treasure vessel, moved quickly.

Firstly, laying the foundations for a new country.

When it comes to the foundations of the country in the Serdeas continent of this era, it is force. By displaying your own force internally and externally, you will restrain aggression from your neighbours, subjugate your people, and stabilize them as a nation.

However, the recognition of the Ethereal Horse, who was a modern Japanese, was different.

For the Ethereal Horse, the foundation of the country is the economy.

No matter how many strongmen you have, you can't fight without all the armor in you. I can't move it without the food that fills its belly. And if the people starve, the country will be disturbed.

Since before this battle began, Aoima had already given some thought to the proposed measures, assuming also that he had conquered the Holmeer country.

But they are only supposed to be. To actually enforce it, I had to first know what was in the country where I got it, what was left and what could be used.

However, in order to know them, it is necessary to examine records such as cashier's books and people's books. In addition, if we consider the theft of supplies during damage and disruption during the invasion of the Romanian State, we must reconcile the records with the real thing. If that were to be one country's share, it would be easy to imagine how enormous the amount of work would be.

That was out of hand for one Ethereal Horse, who was originally just a contemporary Japanese high school student, even though he had five years of experience in the city of Bornis.

In addition, the old ministers of the Holmeer country, who are supposed to best understand and help us with such records, have shown their subordination, but do not know when it comes to its inner parts. It could well have appeared cooperative on the surface and come in the way in the shadow of it.

So the first thing Ethereal Horse did was call Michenas and Treasurers from the city of Bornis.

The treasurers of the city of Bornis are not only those who understand the measures of the Ethereal Horse in the city of Bornis, but also those who have built up their trust throughout the last five years. Michena, the head of the division, appreciated the seriousness and honesty of its work, although talent is scarce, as well as the Ethereal Horse.

Even the Ethereal Horse was convinced that the reform of the Holmeer country would not have been possible without them.

It is, however, the rule of the Holmeer State, which was not originally planned in this battle. They were not ready to leave the city of Bornis and come to the king's capital. Although the construction of the new state is urgent, the city of Bornis can never be put aside in securing the Sorbiant plains, which can be considered a foundation for the forces of the Ethereal Horse. It took some time for the Michenas to come to the king's capital.

But that's why the Ethereal Horse can't just ignore the times in between.

Already Aoima has made the abolition of the identity system public. And it was also a denial of the system of domination using the existing identity system, which is why Ethereal Horse had to show as soon as possible a new form of governance replacing the identity system.

It is a State governed by the rule of law, with law, in place of absolute royalty.

But it is the idea of the rule of law that is unfamiliar in the Serdeas continent of this era. It will not be so easily understood. In fact, the truth is that even in the city of Bornis, which is still a pioneer of the rule of law, it cannot be said very well that the people really understand the rule of law.

Still, if ever a country, it would have been better to use the powerful and luxurious people of the country with the power of the king to enforce the law. But the Ethereal Horse, who had abolished the identity system and denied the old governing mechanisms, had to garner broad popular support.

However, the reputation of the Ethereal Horse in the Holmeer Country is poor.

For five years now, the ruling class of the Holmeer nation has been cursing the heads of ferocious subhuman beings and the great rebels and wicked against heaven. Together with the Romanian National Army, the inhabitants of the King's capital, Holmenia, were largely favoured but still treated as brutal and outrageous aggressors in other lands. Also, in an era where the transmission of information still relied on people's mouths, it was imperative to dispel the bad reviews.

So the Ethereal Horse launched one measure after another to comfort the people, first of all to reassure the people of the Holmeer country and also to accept themselves as new rulers.

One of them is the Homecoming Decree.

In this day and age, a nobleman with a territory called the Hordes is each a general who leads an army. And it is the peasants conscripted in labor and elsewhere, with the exception of a few knights and soldiers, who become their soldiers.

In future generations, many peasants were still brought as soldiers, even those who participated in the battle known as the Battle of Snomuta or the Humiliation of Snomuta.

And many of the peasants who lost to the Ethereal Horse and became defeated soldiers were still lurking all over the Holmeer country without returning home.

It was for fear of retaliation for pointing a blade at the winning Ethereal Horse.

It is also a natural time for a people who still live tied to the land to be frightened by the conquerors. It is not uncommon to hunt for rulers until yesterday, show a condescending attitude towards new conquerors, and try to gain relief. Besides, if we took it to the people who were vandalized in the war and deprived of their possessions, it was only natural to take the weapons from the defeated soldiers and sell them out to compensate for the damage.

Some of these former defeated hunters of the country, the peasants who became defeated, lurked in the mountains and elsewhere, lurking jizzily in their breath.

When he learned of it, Aoima immediately confirmed the immunity of the defeated soldiers and issued a decree that he should return home promptly. It was also accompanied by a strict ban on the hunting of defeated peasants.

If you tell the entity, "It's troublesome to find and capture anyone who escapes or hides. If you leave it alone, it's hard if you have trouble eating and become a burglar. More than that, I want you to just go home and plow the fields".

But to this arose a voice of dissatisfaction from those who had followed the Ethereal Horse for a long time.

Though the battle against the Holmeer country was an overwhelming victory, the Ethereal Horses have also suffered considerably. That has not only wounded itself, but many have lost their comrades and brothers in battle. Seeing from these people, there was no easy way to forgive them if they thought that there might be enemies of their comrades and brothers among the wrecked.

But for such dissatisfaction, the pale horse had his wife's hand.

"Hey, Shemr. I have an opinion that we should hunt out and punish those who have become crippled. What do you think?

That's what the Ethereal Horse even calls his own half, asked Zoan's noble daughter, Shemr.

Shemr answers this question of the pale horse instantly.

"The remorse of war is what clears it up as a result of war. It's no good trying to clear it up after the war."

Not at all. She doesn't betray the expectations of the Ethereal Horse.

Shemr is the Son recognised by the God of the Beast, whom all Zoan worships as their own Creator. Besides, that grace is a guarantee of its noble pride.

If she says it's not clean to slap a loser like that, Zoan can't deny it. Whatever was in its heart, everyone said, "We are proud warriors of Zoan," and did not object, which was the Lord, to the Return Decree.

He also praised the Ethereal Horse for "That's Zoan's Warrior," and then said to those of other races, "What about those of other races? If asked," I can't deny this again.

It is no exaggeration to say that Zoan and others' resentment of the Holmeer nation, which was driven not only to the point of being uprooted, but also to the point of being uprooted, as well as the Sorbiant plain, which is the land of their fathers. That's what those Zoans tell me, and if I add to it the benevolence of being freed from slavery, I can't say anything.

But it was a return order issued that way, but they didn't believe this initially.

He is the head of the vicious subhuman race and a pale horse feared as the son of the Goddess of Death and Destruction. It was not thought of as such a warm treatment, and they believed that the wreckers would be exonerated, and that they were going to capture these and where they returned home and put them to death.

As a result, those who became defeated did not return to their homes.

But that didn't last long either.

Even if it's stuck in the mountains, if there's no food, I'm hungry. Even if my friend and acquaintance are teasing me, if I'm just hiding and eating free meals, I'm narrow shoulders.

At last, he began to return to his homeland with one, and another, from a man who had thought no and originally.

And naturally, Aoima didn't have the mane to rebel the homecoming decree.

Then, as it spread that those who returned home before that would not really be blamed for anything, so did many of the defeated soldiers who had not been able to stop until then.

Tear reunions with fathers, sons and brothers who were thought to have died thus took place throughout the Holmeer country. And it goes without saying that, naturally, on that occasion of reunion, words of gratitude were uttered to the merciful new rulers.

Also in those return orders, the Ethereal Horse received an unexpected plea from a certain person.

"I'd like some funding and time"

Yes, it was Adomius, who cut out to the pale horse, an officer of the Legion "Black Wall", known as the strongest in the Holmeer Nation.
