Hakai no Miko

Episode 33: Seven-Arm-2

After a beat of silence, a great twist rose.

"The city is outside the plains!

"Why do we Zoan have to fight out of the plains?!"

Zoan and the others differed in their mouths.

That's not impossible either.

The world of the Zoans is the plain itself. From that world, all of a sudden, you tell me to go outside, and I can't be convinced that it is yes. That's equivalent to telling the fish to go ashore.

"It just seems insane to try to attack the city, etc."

"Dear Left! We are the champions of the meadow. Attacking a stone city is outrageous!

Also, I could easily imagine the difficulty of attacking the city on the Zoans. I've never even been able to drop one fort before, but I'm only talking about dreams again, such as dropping the city where more humans live on their own.

The Ethereal Horse also chose the one to intercept on the plains, if only to oust the armies of the humans attacking him. With this vast plain, it's not hard for Zoan to defeat even many times more troops than he does if he wears out his opponent with a one-shot exit tactic that harnesses Zoan's flair, his mobility.

But the Ethereal Horse still had a reason to leave the plain.

"But if you stay stuck on the plain, Zoan will perish one day!

There is no way that even once or twice we have crushed a human army in the plains, it will follow. Humans aren't stupid, either. I will definitely come up with a means to counter it, and one day Zoan will lose.

This plain is surrounded by mountains on all sides except the south. It is a wall that prevents other forces from invading, but it is also a wall that isolates the plains from the world.

If there was an industry or something that would create a great deal of wealth in the plains, there was also a choice to grow it and accumulate power. In reality, however, only the pioneering village, which does not belong to Zoan, is on the plain.

In Zoan, an isolated island on land from the outside world, and in humans in the outside world, the more time passes, the more power the difference opens.

Really, Zoan has no future unless he knows the outside world and enters there.

By already dropping the fire and the fort, the race was waved. As soon as possible, I had to move on to action.

"Instead of coming to such a narrow plain, we have to go out into the wider world!

Most of Zoan on the spot couldn't keep up with what the Ethereal Horse thought and didn't even understand what he was saying.

But there were also very few who felt something in the words of the Ethereal Horse.

It is part of the young Zoans such as Shemur and Gallam.

They had flexible thoughts because of their youth, and even if they could not understand all the words of the Ethereal Horse, they felt a great flow of time there.

And the unexpected was also one of them.

"... boo! Fuhaha... kukakaka......!

Suddenly, someone blew it out.

When everyone looked at him in surprise, there was Zoog raising his hand small and apologizing as he grinned.

"No, excuse me"

Zug, finally laughing, asked the Ethereal Horse as he sat down and rode out his upper body. Those eyes are full of child-like glow to expect from something.

"Kid. You're seriously going to attack the city, aren't you?

"Yes, or Zoan will perish."

"When attacking the city, I guess we'll have our Claw Clan's turn, too?

As the Ethereal Horse nodded, Zoog narrowed his uncrushed right eye to a laugh.

Make a loud bang and Zoog slaps his right knee.

"Funny! Funny, kid!

Now he didn't even show the bare wave he could reveal, and Zoog opened his big mouth and laughed.

To the madness of Zug, which I do not think has remained silent until then, all the other clans or even the claw clans of my brethren.

Zoog thought he would be happy to have a brawl, and the Ethereal Horse hastily cautioned.

"But it's a big premise that you follow what I say!

"Oh, well. Then let's keep this."

So Zug took it out of his nostrils, which were colorful jewels and ornaments made of thread in the fangs of animals.

Compared to the necklace I received from Zita and Shepoma before, there was a difference between cloud mud and mud. Carefully polished, the treasure balls come in shapes and grain sizes, all of which have elaborate patterns engraved on them. Particularly eye-catching are the two giant fangs in the center. I don't know what animal it belonged to, but it was a big fang, as if it belonged to a swordtooth tiger, with a bright pattern on the surface painted with dye.

"Chieftain! That's...!

Zoog resolutely ran out of words to his compatriots trying to change their blood phase and keep pushing them.

"There's no other way to use this right now!

"Is this...?

Zug pushed me on the neckline, but the Ethereal Horse doesn't know what that means and asks Shemr, who was holding back.

Shemr stared at the necklace in the pale horse's hand with a face he said was incredible.

"It's a victory prayer necklace worn by the Claw Clan Chiefs during battle. But if you keep that...?! Such an idiot!

"Duh, what do you mean?

In the mouth of its fiercely upset Shemr, the Ethereal Horse becomes anxious when he realizes that it is not just a necklace.

"Whoever wears it will have the same authority as the chief in battle! I mean, the right to order the Claw Clan Warriors! If it's not an emergency where the chief can't go to war, it's not for someone else!

That was the trump card Zug had prepared.

For the Fang Clan, who lost so many warriors in their repeated battles against humans, they want so much that their hands can come out of their throats. Using this as a trading material, Zug was trying to get the realm divided.

But that's equal to giving in to the rest of the family, and Zug didn't cut the trump card easily, so he kept quiet until now to watch what happened.

"We've already got three hundred warriors from the claw clan nearby."

"Zoog! Are you kidding me?!"

"Don't get me wrong, Gallum! I just called it in just in case."

Zoog rushes to stop the burgeoning gallam.

"All four hundred warriors of the Claw Clan added by the warrior on hand now, kid - no, let's leave it with Lord Soma. Use whatever you want. Including me of course."

Every Zoan on the spot was surprised by Zoog's offer to bow his head about the cloth with both fists.

I didn't really think this was Zoog, who was known for his arrogant shores.

Shnupa looked troubled with her hands on her cheek, "Oh," Banuka slapped herself on the cheek, suspecting that if she was in Galam, she would have seriously replaced it with a fake.

"Face up, Mr. Zoog. Helpful. I'm the one who should thank you..."

I was leaving it to the passion to speak, but I wasn't actually worried if my words would really reach the Zoans. For this reason, the Ethereal Horse was pleased as well as relieved that Zoog believed in himself and said he would keep the warrior.

"It's my pleasure."

And the Ethereal Horse laid both fists on the cloth, and bowed his head deep to Zoog.

But there were people who didn't feel comfortable with the touching scene.

"Huh! Hey, it's Raging Fangs. Our Fang Clan is behind us!

"Ooh..."

Intimidated by his sister in a grumpy round, Gallum heads down about the cloth with both fists, just like the two of them, as he rushes back to his pale horse.

"Whatever it is, we, the Fang Clan, shall follow Soma."

"Thank you, Mr. Gallum"

Shemr, who nodded with satisfaction in his arms, then sees the banukah of "The Families of Tenderness", who has not expressed his attitude.

"What will Lord Banukah do?

"Yes! Your son!"

Speaking to his beloved Shemr, Banukah moisturizes his eyes and corrects his spine.

"Of course, our family will follow you, Lord Soma!

…… Wow, young lady! Don't be shy. "

Besides, the compatriots around them rushed to bow down to Banukah.

"It's not short notice. Sure, I'm a young man, but even I can tell that. A claw and fang clan, said to be out of line, is about to be lined up under that Lord Soma. Would this have happened once on the plains? Who could have imagined something like this?

No one could answer Banukkah's question.

"I think this is a big omen. Now, if we don't get on with this flow, won't you regret it for the rest of your life? From everyone's point of view, I know I'm just an unreliable young man. But why don't you take my word for it and follow me?

It's not just because Shemr told me.

Because Banukah also felt something trembling in his heart, even if he did not fully understand the words of the Ethereal Horse.

To this fine word of Banukkah, which I just thought I wouldn't rely on, my compatriots, who have assisted him so far, accidentally burst into tears.

No longer, as one of his fellow countrymen, did he contest the decision of Banukkah.

Schnuppa, who could follow the witches of the "family of eyes" to the appearance of such other families, leaked a small sigh.

"Oh, now we have to obey the Eye Clan."

Schnuppa seemed to already know this was going to happen, saying so in his mouth.

She knows that there is no way Shemr would recognize the person as "you under the umbilical" simply by saying that he is the son of the goddess of death and destruction. I don't know what that is, but the Ethereal Horse has something that even subordinates Shemr, who is known for his height.

That may be the course of the times Banukkah spoke of, Schnupa thought.

I do feel great power flowing to the Ethereal Horse right now.

It is the only stream to try to save Zoan, who was caught up in a turbulent period of unrelenting and just flirting with the expansion of human power.

But waiting ahead of that stream is not salvation, but perhaps death and destruction, symbolized by the goddess who graced him.

Still, however, Schnuppa was a small surprise that she wanted to leave herself to the flow.

Shunupa lay flat on the spot so as to conceal thoughts similar to the highs of its breasts.

"We [the Eye Clan] also promise to obey Master Soma"

At this moment, the Ethereal Horse became unparalleled in history, being able to follow all the Zoans living on the plains.

"What do you mean, Zoog?"

It was Gallum who, amidst the red-dyed plains at dusk, had turned his compatriots away and called out to Zug, who was looking at one distant mountain.

Gallum also lines up next to Zoog without one of his countrymen.

"What do you mean?

"That's what you did to Soma."

Depositing the warriors of the Claw Clan with the Ethereal Horse, not to mention a human, who is not a compatriot, was an unthinkable action from Zug, whom Gallam knew.

But that is definitely what prompted me to state that the rest of my family would also obey the Ethereal Horse. That would undoubtedly have strongly impressed Zoog on the Ethereal Horse.

For that reason, even more so, Gallum, who suspected that there might be some unexpected thoughts behind it, felt the need to question Zoog's true intentions before it could be irrevocable, and thus he was single and turned to Zoog.

Zoog laughed bitterly at what Gallum said that he was not even willing to hide his suspicions.

"Hey, it's Gallum. When you were little, did you ever think about what was going on across the mountain surrounding the plain?

"What, all of a sudden?

I don't understand what Zoog is trying to say, and Garam frowns.

"I have one. Beyond that mountain, there was a land of fire, and I believed the sun would come from it every morning. When I grew up, I thought I'd go check it out."

Zoog spread his arms wide open.

"How about that? Growing up, my world was on this plain. When I became a chief, the world became even smaller and only the realm of the Claw Clan. In such a small world, I was jumping."

Zoog dropped his shoulder and mocked himself.

"Hey, it's Gallum. Zoan will perish if he changes. I thought so."

Garam was surprised.

Because that's what Gallum thought too.

"But what do you say! Before Zoan could say anything, I had to change first! This is not funny, what do you mean?!"

Zoog realized that he remained tied to Zoag's values as he told his family members that Zoag had learned how to fight humans to survive and had been changed.

And it is the Ethereal Horse who made it realize.

"Lord Soma surprised me! It's not a fire attack, a drop of a fort, etc. To the breadth of the world you're looking at!

Gallum also had a strong empathy for that.

What I feel close to is that the Ethereal Horse is looking very far away.

That's not impossible either.

In modern Japan, when it comes to the world, it becomes the entire planet. To the Ethereal Horse of such recognition, no matter how vast a plain it may be, it is only the realization that it is a small part of a continent called Cerdeas. All that, or a pale horse who knows the history of Columbus' discovery of a new continent, wouldn't find it strange to be told that an undiscovered continent was also found on the other side of the ocean in this world.

The world among the pale horses that grew up in modern Japan was vaster than anyone else in this world.

"I wanted to see it! A wider world and more! Lord Soma is watching the world!

Shoulder to shoulder with Zoog shouting that way, Garam stared silently across the same mountain.

At this point, something hot springs up in the two breasts.

Even without words, Garam and Zoog were feeling it for each other.

After a while, Gallum left Zug still looking across the mountain, turning back on his original path.

"Zoog, I forgot to say one thing"

Gallum said this as he walked away.

"I thought there was a country across the mountain made of gold."

For a while, I didn't know what they said, and Zoog was decent.

By the time I lost sight of Gallum, Zoog's shoulder finally starts shaking small. The tremor grows bigger and finally begins to tremble the whole body.

And Zug, who had finally lost sight of him, gave him a loud laugh on the spot.

In future generations there will be the words, "Two heads, one cloth, one triangle, one tongue, seven arms in the Son of Destruction".

The word comes from the famous statue of "Soma Xaki, Son of Destruction", known as the mural of the Contalto Cathedral.

The mural was painted by the hand of the artist Numari, who was adorned with the Sacred Picture. Numari is an avid follower of the ecclesiastical religion, whose murals are also portrayed with the hostility of the faithful towards "Soma Xaki, Son of Destruction," for the purpose of improving their warfare.

For this reason, the figure of the painted blue horse is very unlikely to belong to a human being.

The figure of the Ethereal Horse in the mural is a seven-armed, alien monster with two necks, man and beast, who raises a flame and rides the lay of a black beast flying through the sky, scattering flames at the cities and people on earth.

From the neck of a man wearing a miserable crown, he grows three twisted horns from his head, his eyes burning a red flame, and his long tongue dripping from his mouth torn to his ear.

And the seven arms, in different colors and shapes, each have written an ancient language that means different weapons and seven great sins, which represents saying that the Ethereal Horse is the root of all sins.

As a matter of fact, this mural doesn't just depict a pale horse.

This mural represents the Ethereal Horse and the army he led.

For example, the neck of a beast that grew next to the human neck. The neck of this beast, which licks the cheeks of the neighboring human neck and sells mayhem (kobi), represents Shemr, said to be one heart and one horse.

Also, the black beast cloth, which is ridden by alien monsters, flying through the sky and scattering flames, is gallum.

And the seven arms of different shapes are the seven generals who served the Ethereal Horse called the Seven Arms General.

This seven-armed general was created in later years, and no such title existed at that time.

In speaking of the Son of Destruction in future generations, the Seven Generals, who could never be removed, were regarded as murals of Saint Numari, and they were called Seven Arms Generals. They were the finest generals of each race, among the armies of the Ethereal Horse, who were a mixed army of seven races.

One of the seven arms in the painting of Painting Saint Numari is an arm that holds a mountain knife and is covered in red hair.

The meaning of the ancient letters written there is "anger".

"Angry Claws" Kraga Bigana Zug.

Later, as one of the best fierce generals of the regiment of "Sons of Destruction," he is a man to be hailed as one of the Seven Arm generals, "Arms of Wrath".
