Hakai no Miko

Lesson 9: The King of the Nation

"Why is this guy here?

Bararak, who entered the great tent that opens the chieftaincy consultation, said so, if he found a pale horse who had already followed one Shemr in first.

The Ethereal Horse, who had been pressed by Gallam beforehand to remain silent until he introduced himself, turns his gaze to Gallam instead of answering. Take that, Garam told Barak.

"Soma is my guest. There's nothing wrong with inviting a guest to a consultation to get their opinion."

"That would be a story if the other chiefs also admitted"

Zoug and Shunupa quickly raise their voices to Barak's saying that just because there is a human figure here is unforgivable.

"Admit that I am the chief of the claw clan to invite Lord Soma as a guest."

"On behalf of the witch-head of the Eye Clan, I hereby acknowledge the presence of Lady Xaki Soma."

If it is recognized by the representatives of the other two families, it makes no sense for one of them to disagree.

"I'm not saying the opposite either. I just wanted you to tell me beforehand."

After throwing up a discarded dialogue that could be taken so sparingly, Bararak makes a dodgy noise and sits down. Behind that, only Banukah, who sat with the warriors of the other "family of the defiled", apologized to Aoima and Shemr with his gaze.

"You're all right. - Now, let's open a chief consultation."

Having seen Barak sit back, Garam declares the consultation open.

However, in an attempt to state the agenda for the consultation, Barak suddenly blocked it.

"Wait, it's Raging Fangs."

Garam, whose nose was screwed, turns his gaze on Barak to say what it is. And Bararak said, often with a face.

"All gathered here are chiefs bearing their own families. There is no superiority or inferiority between the chiefs. But it's customary for the oldest to set the scene apart."

Indeed, Barak is right, and there is such a custom. And the chiefs on this occasion are Garam, Zug and Bararak. Of course, it goes without saying who the oldest is.

"I mean, you're gonna divide this place?

That's right, Gallum, and the discomfort mixed with the tone.

"That's right. - No, I don't want any trouble, such as partitioning. But custom is custom. I don't have a choice."

That's what I said in my mouth, but Barak's nostrils were tingly wide.

Contrary to that, a crease comes between the eyebrows of Garam and Zoog.

Until now, they have always been at the forefront, risking their lives and finally reclaiming the plains. It is just not calm to be told that, on the occasion of the consultation to discuss the future of that plain, until now, we will not go out on the battlefield ourselves, but partition ourselves into Barak, which was reluctant even to reinforce the warriors because of all that.

If you say so, it's a pissing word.

As even Schnuppa was puzzled, he lays his hand on his right cheek and tilts his neck slightly.

"Don't do what you did. Whatever the sibling chiefs are, The Fang is the Great Chiefs. Aside from that, what do you say"

Originally resting on his stomach against Barak, Zug slashed Barak's suggestion in a bastard manner with an undressed phrase on his teeth.

But Bararak, waiting for the word, laughs.

"Yes, that's it, that's it"

Barak said well to everyone who made a face that was surprised (somewhat) at what he was going to say.

"Raging Fangs is called the Great Sheikh, but really?

The scene becomes noisy at Barak's sudden remarks.

"Ready? In order to become a Great Patriarch, you must receive blessings from the Witch Head of the Eye Clan with the consent of all five Patriarchs living on the Plains. But not only is he less blessed than the witch-head. I heard later that The Fang became the Great Elder. I mean, you don't have my consent, the chief of your family."

And most of them that were there turned their eyes to reproach, saying, What more will they say now? No matter how many times you request to appear in the first place, it is Barak who was grumpy. As a result, Gallam became a great chief after obtaining the consent of his son Banukkah, who was sent (or sent) as his chief deputy.

I can't help but wonder if they think I'm wearing a toy now.

"But I have your son Banukah's consent."

He turned his gaze only for a moment on Banukah, who is holding back behind Barak, then Garam said. Bararak, by contrast, says it clearly.

"Banukah is not a chief. I'm the chief."

But now the face of Banukkah, who decided to act as chief, is rounded. Behind Bararak, Banuka makes her face nag.

Zoog said away, as if to blow away the awkward air drifting on the spot.

"Whatever other public myths you make today, it doesn't change that Raging Fangs is the Great Sheikh!

Plus, there's a crease on Barak's nose.

Barak and I knew full well that what I said was an argument. But if we recognize Gallam here as a grand chief, Gallam's speaking power will increase. That would imply a relative decline in one's voice, which would be disadvantageous in the allocation of areas of the clan that would henceforth be determined. As the head of the family, it was not at best acceptable.

For this reason, it is with knowledge that it is repulsed that it denied Garam's great chief raid name, but what was unexpected to Barak was Zug's reaction. Until now, Garam and Zug have been told that the two males do not stand alongside each other, but their Zug will always support Garam's great chieftaincy raid and even turn their anger at themselves for sounding nonchalant to it.

Exactly. Nor did Barak envisage this happening.

You two, I don't know what the hell happened, but this is a shitty situation. That's what I thought. Barak decides to punch a verbal beak between the two of them.

"This surprised me. I didn't think it would be a good idea for Angry Claws, known for their bravery, to come under" Fierce Fangs. "

Bararak provokes Zoog with a bare gesture that surprises him with exaggeration. If they say this, Zug, who was known for his arrogant shores, wouldn't be able to gallam as before.

It was a provocation aimed at it, but for Bararak to take it in his hand, Zug was too shape-breaking.

"Be good, Barak! -"

When Zoog bangs one of his knees, he turns his fangs and smiles furiously.

"- That fight, I bought it!

Zoog kicks in the rush and other things, and suddenly strikes out into the last resort.

"If you refer to us as indolent, who turned to the Great Fang and fought according to the instructions of Lord Soma, let us actually cross the blades and identify them. There is just" Fierce Fangs "here with Master Shunupa. Let's go with the ritual of war in the presence of the two of us!

Bararak cools his liver if not more.

Of the five Zoan clans living in this Sorbiant plain, the Fang clan and the Claw claw clan are said to be in battle. The Fang Clan has now lost many warriors in its repeated battles against humans, but was once known as a bending clan no less likely to win any of them.

But even then, if he had had to fight one way or the other, Bararak would have avoided fighting only [claw clan].

Both are belligerent clans, but the "claw clan" is the beneficial focus on the proud temperament of the "Fang clan". For this reason, the Fang Clan can create a place where the battle falls if they face each other, whereas the Fang Clan will never back down once (once) the battle reaches satisfactory results. Not to mention the relentlessness of "Angry Claws" Kraga Bigana Zug has been heard repeatedly in wind rumors.

Not very much, but I'm totally sorry to fight those guys.

"Wait, wait, I'm not going to fight between my clans!

It was Bararak who hastily denied the battle, but that led him to dig more graves.

"Well. - So you want this one-on-one duel with me?

At that moment, the air moved deliberately, saying that it was in a tent where the wind wouldn't blow in.

I even remember the illusion that Zoog's body swelled up many times because of the intimidation that leaked when I said he was just sitting there.

Garam had been told by Shru that "my uncle got round" but it's a hell of a story. Even Gallum, known for his audacity, just being on the spot doesn't keep his whole body hair from going tingly upside down. Not to mention that Barack's mood was pushed from the front to the inside to find out about the unexpected intimidation emanating from Zoog's giant.

If it's a serious battle, it's nothing more than a suicide act, such as dueling Zoog, who was said to be no better than Gallum, who called himself the strongest brave man on the plains. Bararak hastily apologized.

"No. That's not what I said! The words have passed. Sorry."

The murderous atmosphere that was so common from Zoog's body subsided that the air was lighter on the spot. Everyone leaks a sigh of relief.

In it Zoog waves to get rid of even the puppy toward Barak with a throwing attitude that he has no longer lost interest in.

"Then just disappear. We can't move on with someone irrelevant."

I'm the chief of the Takeshi clan! What do you see as irrelevant?

Zoog laughed with his nose at Bararak, who hurriedly floated his hips.

"Isn't that natural? Who reclaimed the plains? This is our clan coalition, which welcomed our guests here, Lord Soma, and gave them the Great Fang. I don't recognize Raging Fangs as the Great Sheikh. In other words, I'm not a member of the clan union. Is there any sense in talking about determining the realm of the plains that we have reclaimed by our lives?

"But warriors, including my son Banukah, are also in the fight!

A hasty Bararak protests, but Zug says at last with a serious look.

"Whoa! I risked my life for the courtesy of our Union of Families when I said I couldn't get the permission of the chief. Oh, my God, isn't that the mind you looked up to? Exactly. Zoan's warrior's book. Let us also express our deep gratitude to them. Let's reward him generously. - But."

Zoog narrows one eye wildly.

"The realm of the plains is a matter for the whole family. If the chief representing the clan is irrelevant, you have to? Oh, unfortunately, the ultimate is this."

How many similarly sized chiefs, from his own point of view, to the young man Zug, Bararak, made so cocky, bites in humiliation.

Gallum, who just decided this wasn't a good idea any more, went into arbitration.

"Keep it that way, Angry Claw."

Zug, who was slammed by the gallum, turned to him like he had been slammed. But in the shadow of his body, unseen from Barak, he was waving his hand towards Gallam to show it hiccups.

Garam unwittingly smiles bitterly at Zoog's way of just scratching the spot around and leaving it to you later, then says to Barak.

"I found out Lord Barak didn't recognize me as the Great Sheikh. However, at that time, it was a matter of contending temporarily. It was a pressing and urgent measure to unite all the warriors."

Gallum turned his gaze to Banukah, who was still shrinking his body to shame.

"Banukah, too, would have made the decision without waiting for Lord Bararak's reply because he understood that to be the case. What I say is, I think it was Banukkah's fault and he did a brilliant job acting for Lord Barak."

Sometimes saved from Zoog's relentless questioning (how), Barak can't even argue, just hammering "uhh, uhh".

"And even when it comes to surrogacy, once you admit it, why don't you go against it?

Gallum is the best at what he says. Having decided that it was not a good idea to rough things up any further, Bararak still had to put on his body and admit Garam as a grand chief, however reluctantly he said.

"Now let's start the chieftaincy consultation again"

Even though Gallum re-divided it, that Barak didn't pinch his mouth this time either.

"Perhaps everyone is most concerned, the distribution of territory -"

So once the words were separated, Gallam went on.

"- Before we decide on that, I'd like to discuss the treatment of our guest Soma, who has committed herself to reclaiming this plain"

Besides, the warriors who held back behind each chief leaked a small bluff. I was wondering if they would be the first to discuss territorial allocations. But this thing already seemed to have been heard by Zoog and Schnuppa, and the two raise their voices "No Objection".

Then, slightly late, Barak admitted that he had no objection, but his face was full of dissatisfaction.

To Barak, the soul and gallbladder of Garam and others were clear. I guess you're going to shield the territorial allocation that will take place after this and ruin on yourself the position of saying you're the guest of that human kid.

So Bararak took the lead before Garam cut it out.

"Neither am I. To treat this guy as a guest of Zoan's, I'm not bluffing."

Not only did his thoughts fall off, but Bararak, whose family was put in a slightly worse situation, dared to try to rebuild himself by showing a generous attitude towards the Ethereal Horse here.

But in disregard of such a barak, Garam went on to say the words.

"I'm trying to get Soma to name the King of the Nation"

"He said he was a clan king?!"

Barak raised his barbaric voice.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Not long before this. Prior to the consultation, Garam, who had been gathered by those who were the Lord, cut out in a painful tone.

"I want to talk to everyone about how to deal with Soma in the future"

All of a sudden the pale horse, cut out of his topic, eats it. I didn't know why I bothered to talk about my treatment here because I hadn't even felt the inconvenience before.

"Eh... Can't you just keep it that way?

"It's decided for nothing"

Gallum ran out of words.

In that too strong tone, Ethereal Horse and Shemr face each other. The hell, because I didn't know why Garam was coming up with this far.

The same applies to those present on this occasion, such as Shunupa, the sister of the witch-head of the [family of eyes], Kraga Bunuka Shul, daughter of the [claw claw clan], who assists Garam, and Banukah, who led Bararak to the tent before joining him.

But only one Zoog had a difficult face in his arms.

Gallum told everyone to chew it up.

"Sure, I'm the Great Sheikh. If it is a battle, you can also lead the warriors of all the Zoan clans in battle. If there is a mess between the families, we can make it look good. I know you think I'm a narcissist, but I can promise you that I will act shamelessly as a great chief. But..."

Gallum grips the fist he puts on his lap hard.

- That's all I can do.

Garam said with self-derision.

"Now I could get rid of a bunch of people named Holmeer Country. But they never give up. On a day not far away, it will necessarily be another battle. Exactly, this plain is like being swallowed by the great vortex of times. Going forward, the plain must be ruled by those who can see and deal with its vortex flow.

But if I may say so with all due respect, the situation in which this plain was laid is no longer the same for me. "

Everyone loses their words to what the most powerful brave man on the plains and the famous Gallum spoke with remorse.

Just one, except for Zoog.

"Well, I guess that..."

As soon as I said that, I would be stared at by the shrug who was present. Zoog hastily excused himself to the quiet angry gaze of his niece.

"I'll tell you what, it's just like me. If you just fight the enemy in front of you, you can do as much as you want. But I don't know what to do when they tell me to fight a human country."

"So, uncle, what do you say?

"I don't like strong women because of this," Zug spilled polarily to his niece, who still has insurance in her tone, staring at her with even tighter eyes, hastily expressing her opinion.

"You don't have to tell me anymore, do you? We have no choice but to entrust this plain and Zoan's future to Lord Soma. For this reason, it is difficult to ask Lord Soma to remain a guest."

Plus Gallum nodded loudly.

"Zoog is right. Until now, it has taken the form of me and Zoog accepting Soma's proposal and telling the warriors. But that's not a good idea from now on."

"I also forgot to say that thanks to Lord Soma, I was able to reclaim the plains, and I also saw the warriors to follow. Some of them will say they don't want to be ordered now."

"In order not to do so, we must ask Soma to stand above us."

As if we had shown each other beforehand, those who were on the spot were equally surprised by Gallam and Zug, who spoke about the same issue. It is understandable that both males, representing this Zoan, were unexpectedly afraid of the same problem.

"So you're going to make Soma a grand chief, too?

That's about what Shemr comes up with when he says he's in a position to sum up all the Zoan warriors.

"I can't do that."

To Shemr's suggestion, it was Schnupa who so affirmed. As a witch-headed sister, she goes through various customs and so on. If she says so, no one can deny it.

"Great chiefs are what brave warriors become recognized by all chiefs. Sorry, but Master Soma is a warrior..."

To be a great chief, you have to be a warrior first. But that premise cannot be fulfilled by the Ethereal Horse.

Besides, Shemr makes one suggestion.

"Soma is my 'you under the umbilical'. So wouldn't it be a problem for me to represent you and be courtesy of a warrior?

If a party is unable to fight due to unsolicited circumstances, such as a duel, the friend or acquaintance may also act on his behalf. Not to mention the Ethereal Horse, Shemr's "You Under the Umbrella". The surrogate face of the Ethereal Horse stands.

But Shunupa shook his head sideways.

"I think it's hard. Your son is already a warrior. There's no precedent for a warrior's ritual to be received by someone who already qualifies as a warrior, and it won't get through."

"So why don't we leave it to the warriors under the authority of the chief?

What Shru suggested is how Shahata, the [Fang Clan] bowman who can't get a warrior's ritual, became a warrior.

But that, too, Shnupa shakes her neck to the side.

"I was wondering if that would be difficult too. Because the biggest problem is Soma-sama's grace..."

Making warriors of those who can't even fight is disgraceful.

Now, Zoog suggested.

"So what about the brother-in-law of Gallam? Make the covenant of your brother-in-law, and make Lord Soma your brother-in-law."

To Zug's suggestion, Aoi Horse thought of the oath of the Three Kingdoms Peach Garden. Then, it kind of looks like Gallum is Guan Yu and Zoog is Zhang Fei.

He said to both of you, "Brother! I thought of myself called," and I laughed bitterly that it would not be.

"Exactly, being Mr. Gallam's brother-in-law is a bit... At least my brother is better..."

"You can't do that!

As soon as possible, they are opposed by Banuka in a strong tone.

"I can't believe you're Lord Gallam's brother-in-law! No! Absolutely not!

To the strong tone of Banukkah, which even stirred resentment, the Ethereal Horse and Shemr were decent.

The way Banukah doesn't understand why he claims so strongly, he knows it's not the kind of relationship he and I were concerned about, and secretly Garam relieves (mostly).

"And that's right. Uh, yes! Even if you do, you might be told that you look big just to say brother-in-law of Lord Gallam, the Great Sheikh. Wouldn't it be better to be clearer so that you know when you stand above us"?

Banukkah's opinion, perhaps out of private sentiment, about to withdraw the suggestion that Garam enter into a covenant with his brother-in-law, but that makes sense again.

"So, is there anything else?

Garam asks, but everyone shut their mouths and became silent.

After a while, it was Schnuppa who broke it.

"A tribal king - how about that?

Everyone who was on the spot looks at each other. Garam asked Shunupa on behalf of everyone.

"Master Shunupa, who is the King of the Nation? I've never heard of it."

"It was quite a long time ago, and it is in the story of Dale Muhaka Mumbaba, the great hero of one of the great chiefs (the Tail Clan) who used to be. As you know, the" Tail Family "is a family that weighs on the blood muscles of a chief who goes on from generation to generation. Neither did the great hero Mumbaba make it good for him to stand above the chief of the" Tail Clan ". So the chiefs at the time, after consultation, created a king meaning the head of the human race and a designation called the 'clan king' with the great chief, and by naming it the son of the chief of the [tail clan], they finally made the great hero Mumbaba aware that he would be the great chief."

Even though everyone is surprised by the title they hear for the first time, Schnuppa continued with a bitter smile.

"At any rate, it is the King who made the great hero Mumbaba only to be a great chief, so the conditions I said this and so on are not laid down. In view of the circumstances then, you will be able to name the 'King of the Nation' only if the Chiefs deduce it and the Great Chiefs acknowledge it"

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Once again, Bararak, the first person to hear Shunupa talk about the King of the Nation, gets stunned. Then after a while, a half-hearted voice finally leaks out of its mouth.

"So you're saying that a tribal king is one who is recognized by a great chief and stands on top of it? I mean, when you can follow all Zoan..."

"It will."

Schnuppa answered softly.

Besides, Bararak gets furious.

"Don't be ridiculous! Why should our proud Zoan warrior obey a man inferior to Genovanda?! When he is a human lad to the point where some wickedness works, Zoan, the champion of the plains, obey!

Pointing Galam and Zoog in turn, Bararak twitches.

"Neither you nor you seem very sane! Proud Zoan obeys a human lad, right? There is no way such shame can be tolerated!

At that time, a loud laugh was inadvertently raised.

It's Zoog.

"I see! I can see how Gallum and your sons felt then."

What the hell is wrong with Zoog, he was slapping himself on the knee and shaking his shoulder. To the madness of this zoog, Bararak asks (just) that, feeling disgusted.

"Yes, what the hell are you talking about?

"You've forgotten what's important."

To the answer that doesn't get Zoog's guidelines, Bararak makes his voice absurd because of his rush to see if he made any mistakes.

"So what do you mean?!"

"Are you sure you've forgotten your son's grace?

Ahead of what Zug indicated, Bararak admitted to Shemr's appearance of refraining behind the Ethereal Horse, opening his mouth wide, "Ah". During a clan consultation held before dropping the fort, Zoog, who said it was against Zoang's pride to follow the Ethereal Horse, had asked how he could have gotten into it, but he was completely oblivious to it.

Garam says to Barak, who is grieving.

"I'm not saying this because I'm dating or crazy. I want you to understand that it was my decision after thinking about the future of the plains and Zoan."

"The future, you say?

What is in Barak's head is how he will make his family flourish. For this reason, all of a sudden, out of the mouth of Gallam, he faces the word plains and the future of Zoan.

To Garam, who had just taken charge of an inferior human child or even begun to say something unintelligible, Barak looked around to ask for his consent, wondering if he had gone crazy. But only myself and the warriors of the Families of Tenderness whom I have brought are in a panic of surprise.

Until now, Bararak has thought that the other families are the same Zoan with some difference. But being here now didn't seem very much like the same Zoan. At least not the Zoan Barak knows.

What the hell has changed them?

I didn't know what that was, but Barak even remembered his fear in the existence that had changed Zoan so much that he knew.

But there's no way Barack can tell that it's a human child watching as he harrasses on the outcome of the consultation.

To the confused Barak, Garam turns his mind to the decision.

"In the name of Garam, son of Garguz, the great chief, [the Fang family], we shall elect Xaki Soma as the king of the clan. - Is there anything out there?

It is a question of the honor of the Great Sheikh and of his own name. I'm not ready to answer half a dozen questions. But the two, other than Barak, responded immediately.

"No difference. I recognize Lord Soma as the King of the Nation," Zug.

"Neither is the family of the eye," said Shunupa.

As the two admitted successively, everyone's attention is directed to Barak, who has not revealed nature and denial.

How do we get through this?

The sense of crisis that only the humiliation and the "flesh and blood" who must have human children as kings of their own clans will be isolated is fiercely stirred up in Barak.

On the back of that Barak, a voice is called that pushed to death.

"No shortcomings, chief."

It was my son Banukah.

"Banukkah!

Barak reprimanded his son, but when he voiced his anger and threw it out of his body, he felt slight but calm. Exhaling deeper, Bararak desperately turns his thoughts around.

Even if you put me up here, [your family] will just be isolated, or if you do poorly, it can have a negative effect on the distribution of territory that you refrain from after this.

Reaching such a conclusion, Bararak squeezed out his fine voice.

"I don't have any differences..."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Finally, the only Bararak who was opposed broke and it was decided that the Ethereal Horse would become the King of the Nation.

But neither the great chief of Gallam nor the king of the tribe of the Ethereal Horse is yet official. More than this, after several rituals, the two receive the blessing of the witch-head of the "family of the eyes" in the presence of all the clans, and for the first time they are officially recognized as great chiefs and clan kings.

However, they are the domain of the family of the eye that presides over the sacrifice, and they are no longer to be done by Gallam. Gallum finally relaxes his tenacity at the sense of accomplishment that has survived the great difficulty.

Instead, Shnupa takes over the course of the consultation.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate Lady Gallam and Lady Soma. Being able to see the ritual of the birth not only of the great chief but also of the king of the clan is nothing but a great joy for the family of the eyes."

When Shnupa fell down in a daunting motion, the witches who had refrained behind it lowered their heads at all costs.

"And this is a ritual in which you two will be great chiefs and tribal kings, but this will be done in 'rundown'"

A hot sigh of admiration broke out of the mouths of the Zoans who were on the spot at the word "worn out" out of Shunupa's mouth. Even then, the warriors who couldn't contain the excitement there are hissing and exchanging words, but the word "worn out" can be heard frequently (hives).

"Hey, Shemr. What's a mess?

The pale horse concerned eared as he snuck in and invited Shemr, who had refrained behind him.

"Once a year, all Zoan families living on the plains gather in the Holy Land for a festival."

Shemr also couldn't seem to contain the excitement again, and his nose was rough.

"I've never been opened since humans drove me off the plain, so I've only heard of it."

While I was listening to Shemr explain, the story of Shnupa continues.

"Originally, it is a lesson to be held on a spring day when the day and night are equal, but then again, there is no day. As a special case, I would like to open on a day when the autumn day and night will be equal, is there anything different about you?

No one differed from this Schnuppa proposal.

Having felt the air loose on the spot in the resurrection of the borough, which had never been opened for three decades since Zoan was chased down the plain by man, he felt that Gallum was a good opportunity to cut out the distribution of territory, another difficult question.

"Now let's finally discuss the territorial allocation"

That was the gallam I cut out, but that's where the unexpected lay in.

"Um... can I have a word with you?

So it was the Ethereal Horse who raised his voice.

Besides, when Barak leaned against his nose and raised a low groan, Garam tells the Ethereal Horse, also including the meaning of restraining Barak.

"You are an unofficial but tribal king. Just like the chief, he has the right to speak in this forum of consultation"

Besides, the Ethereal Horse relieved Ho, and Bararak leaked his tongue.

"Well, I have a favor to ask of you all."

When the Ethereal Horse corrected his abode, he said this to the Zoans, who gaze upon themselves in the way he said intrigued.

"Lend me some land."
