Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs
Chapter 89: Illusion of a Beautiful Life
Lu Ke sighed: "Then I should go find Dumbledore at this time."
After saying that, he turned around and left.
But Pallas began to struggle.
The quill moved quickly on the parchment, but still wrote very beautiful handwriting: "Are you ready to tell everything?"
Lu Ke nodded without hesitation.
The only reason why this treasure hunt game can continue until now is because of Slytherin's persistence and Lu Ke's desire to pass the test: it feels like an interesting game is in front of you, and you are eager to play it.
As for hiding secrets, Lu Ke had no such idea from the beginning.
Pallas was still struggling, but Lu Ke had already walked out of the room and went straight to the principal's office.
Standing in front of the stone statue, Lu Ke tried a bunch of snacks again and successfully walked into the principal's office.
When he climbed the stairs, he found that Dumbledore had another guest.
"Lu Ke?"
Dumbledore and Snape, who was standing in front of him, were both startled. It was obvious that they had been too involved in the previous argument.
"There is something very dangerous that I think you should take a look at, Professor Dumbledore."
Dumbledore was stunned for a moment.
Snape turned to face Luke: "I told you, stay away from dangerous things, Luke."
Lu Ke sighed: "So as soon as he saw me, he rushed to find Professor Dumbledore."
"Did I bother you?"
He actually heard part of the argument, which was that Snape and Dumbledore had big differences about the arrangements for a "child".
Dumbledore shook his head without hesitation: "We should go and see what you are talking about first, Lu Ke. There is rarely a danger inside Hogwarts, but if there is, it is my duty to eliminate it."
Dumbledore said and walked towards the door: "You come too, Severus, if it is really dark magic, I need your help."
Snape, who had always remained expressionless, showed obvious disgust for the first time, but still followed.
Lu Ke, who was walking at the back, simply didn't dare to speak. Even though he was so familiar with Snape, he still felt that this person's low pressure was too high.
Walking down the stairs, Lu Ke began to lead the way. They passed the stairs that were changing directions and came to the door of the Room of Requirement. Then Lu Ke opened the door with a map and walked in.
What appeared in front of the three people was the room filled with old things.
Then the whispers began again.
"Extraordinary wisdom is mankind's greatest wealth..."
Dumbledore and Snape took out their wands at the same time.
Snape reached out his hand as fast as lightning and pushed Lu Ke, who was standing in front of the two of them, behind him.
"That's definitely not a Ravenclaw lady..."
Dumbledore glanced thoughtfully at Snape.
Snape squeezed out a few words through his teeth as if struggling: "It's him, absolutely."
Dumbledore nodded: "He's everywhere, isn't he?"
After speaking, he strode towards the source of the sound.
On top of the mountain of things, there is an inconspicuous gray crown, exquisitely designed, but it has long been covered with dust.
That's where the whispers came from.
"This crown..."
Lu Ke poked his head out from behind Snape: "Ravenclaw's crown, this style is absolutely unmistakable."
Snape pushed Lu Ke back: "Shut up, Lu Ke."
Lu Ke had no choice but to shut up.
Dumbledore gave Lu Ke a meaningful look: "You have extraordinary attainments in history, Lu Ke."
Lu Ke was speechless, and Pallas on his shoulder screamed dissatisfied.
Then Dumbledore trudged up the rubbish heap.
He pointed his wand at the top crown of the trash.
Then the voice began to change.
"There are countless kinds of spells in the world. Wizards are omnipotent. They can transcend death and get true love. As long as you want anything, you can do it..."
That voice was no longer Ravenclaw's, it was extremely distorted and erratic.
Lu Ke couldn't help but want to laugh.
Because the content of this sentence was ridiculous, and the special sound effect, it suddenly reminded him of the good times when he used to hold his mobile phone and spin it around his roommate's head, euphemistically calling it a three-dimensional surround.
But Snape didn't think so at all. When he heard the laughter, he turned around as if he was electrocuted and grabbed Lu Ke's shoulders: "Lu Ke!"
Lu Ke said quickly: "I'm fine, Professor. Not only do I not think this sentence sounds good, I also think it's ridiculous."
Snape breathed a sigh of relief.
Dumbledore laughed: "If only you had Luke's sense of humor, Severus."
Snape responded with a dead look on his face.
Dumbledore shook his wand: "The confusion dissipates."
But the spell did not work. Instead, a thick black smoke rose from the crown.
It was an ever-changing illusion that looked like countless wild dreams stacked together. Lu Ke at least saw him eating a lot, flying on a dragon, and playing the wizard with Harry Potter. Various illusions of chess.
But the most eye-catching thing was that Snape was sitting with a child, both with smiles on their faces.
That looked downright weird.
Dumbledore nodded with a relaxed expression: "Lu Ke, with your talent, wouldn't such a dream be too unambitious?"
Lu Ke smiled: "That's enough. I think these things are still very difficult."
But Snape was speechless at this moment, and the wand in his hand was moving slowly.
Lu Ke walked up to Snape, raised his hand and grabbed his wand: "Professor, this will never be that easy."
Then Snape paused, expressionless.
He finally put his hand down: "It's easy for you to say, Lu Ke."
Dumbledore shook his head: "I will always help you, Severus, but it must be the right thing."
Snape shook his head and said nothing.
Dumbledore waved his hand and told the two to step back.
Then he cast a spell that Lu Ke had never heard of.
A phoenix-like flame rushed toward the crown. Almost instantly, the dust on the crown disappeared, and the sapphire shone in the firelight, incredibly bright.
The flames eventually dissipated, leaving the crown intact.
"It won't be that easy."
Snape shook his head, then raised his wand and pointed at the crown: "Heavy blockade."
A black strip of cloth appeared out of thin air and tightly wrapped the crown.
"We can only take it away, isolate it from the impact first, and then try to find a way to destroy it."
Dumbledore nodded and reached for the cloth bag.
"Severus, I know it's too much to say this, but you see, there are things he left behind even in Hogwarts. We must be more vigilant and not relax yet."
