Harry Potter and the Blind prince

9 Hogwarts; the sorting

(Lorkhan's pov)

After A long journey by train, My back and neck felt like it would crack. and I felt a bit nauseous for some reason. Was it the reading? Yes! That's got to be it.

I held Lauren by his left arm and help him get of the train. But as soon as we got out, my eyes widen. I saw a sea of students, all wearing the school uniform. I couldn't even find Jack and Elli who had went before us not long ago. Then again, what made my eyes widen wasn't that. I saw a giant figure, stood out from the rest.

He was more than two meters high, he has thick bushy brown beard and hair, and wore an overcoat. He was holding a lantern at one of his hand

"C'mon, follow me-- anymore firs' years? Mind yer step now! Firs' year Follow' me!" he yelled, moving his free hand to gesture us to follow him.

We went to narrow and dark pathways. I don't know what serounds us but, I suppose it's a forest. And strangely I also heard few sniffles far from the front. 'A kid crying?' I asked myself 'I guess this place is quite spooky, huh?'.

Then I shrugged my shoulders, remembering those days where I had to babysit a certain Tantrum-throwing Ghost nearly every day.

After a few More turns…

"Ye' all get yer firs' sight o' Hogwarts in a sec" the big man called over his shoulder "just' round this bend here."

I couldn't see clearly, but after hearing a series of "Oooooh!" from the students at front, I'm guessing it's something amazing?.

"No more'n four to a boat!" the man called out. I squeeze myself to the front and saw him, pointing towards the fleet of little boats that was seating by the shore. One by one the students scattered and went into the boats.

I also went towards the remaining boat and step inside. It was quite shaky, so I need to put some effort to help Lauren get into the boat.

"Everyone in?" The man shouted, already in his own boat "right then--FORWARD!"

The boat started moving.

With widen eyes, every single student was silent throughout the way, staring at the great Castle over their head.

"Heads down!"

The man yelled as the first boat came near to a cliff. We all bent down. I reflexly smirked a bit, as I peak my eyes to Lauren, waiting to see what kind of expression his face would make. But what happened next blew all of my fantasies. He's face was as calm as a untouched lake.

'What did you expect, Lorkhan? Of course that brother of yours is like that!' I sigh

After a long while, we went out of the dark tunnel and clambered out onto rocks and pebbles.

"Oy, You there! Is this your toad?" the man asked while checking the boats

"Trevor!" Cried a kid with pale-round face, holding his hands out.

We then proceed, walking towards a flight of stone steps.

"Ouch!"

'Hm? What was that sound?' I look to my right and saw few strands of Lauren's hair caught onto a branch of a dead tree. 'Oh sh*t' I cursed 'I forgot he was with me'.

I tried to untangle it, but it seem… I made it worse.

"Lork~ stop! it hurts…" Lauren whined.

I quickly scanned the area and found what I needed. I took it and held it using my sleeves so I don't get cut. 'Well Lauren, at least I tried.' I said to myself internally, in a sorry not sorry tone 'Sorry bro, but I'm cutting it.' I cut the hair as swiftly as I could so he doesn't notice a thing, and hopely it stays that way.
