Harry Potter and the Candy Factory

#4 - Isn't it Potter?!

"Come, child."

From inside the trash can, Harry heard a warm and gentle voice from outside.

Immediately following, a strong and warm hand firmly grasped his outstretched hand.

Before he could think any further, Harry felt the other person's powerful arms easily lift him up, pulling him into the air.

"Whoa!"

Caught off guard, Harry was startled.

He instinctively gripped Charlie's hand even tighter.

Finally, Harry was placed back onto the ground.

He vigorously twisted his waist, moved his limbs, and gradually relieved the numbness in his buttocks.

"Phew…"

Harry breathed a sigh of relief, unable to help but think,

It seems my luck is pretty good today.

If I go back now, at most I'll just be humiliated by the Dursleys.

At least I won't have to eat Dudley's leftover biscuits…

You should know that those biscuits, since being thrown away by Dudley, have become quite soft…

Even the edges have grown a bit of green mold.

If I wasn't so desperately hungry, I definitely wouldn't want to eat something like that for dinner.

"Thank you, sir.

If it weren't for your help this time, I don't know how long I would have been stuck inside."

Harry raised his head, looking at the tall and handsome man in front of him, his eyes involuntarily showing a hint of amazement.

Then, while speaking, he sincerely bowed deeply to the other person to express his gratitude.

Charlie looked at Harry's thin figure, not saying a word, but his eyes were extremely complex.

Messy hair, broken glasses, dirty and obviously ill-fitting clothes… and those unique green eyes.

At this moment, Charlie's mood was complicated.

More than twenty years have passed… After such a long time, he had mostly forgotten everything about the original book, only vaguely remembering a few details.

But this child in front of him… was firmly etched in his mind, becoming a long-held obsession.

Now, as he really stood in front of him, his image gradually overlapping with the description in his memory, he couldn't help but feel a bit dazed, with an indescribable feeling in his heart.

And this scene was completely taken in by Russell, who was standing to the side.

Russell's eyes couldn't help but moisten slightly.

Regarding his master, Russell could proudly say that he was the house-elf who understood him the most in the world.

Yet, this was the first time he had seen such undisguised emotion in Charlie's eyes.

Watching his master's genuine emotions, Russell carefully and slowly retreated, wanting to give the two of them a chance to be alone.

At this moment, Harry's mood was different.

Looking at the man in front of him who was looking at him with complicated eyes, not saying a word for a long time, and then looking at the tearful butler retreating behind the man, for a moment, his heart couldn't help but pound violently.

A thought he had never had before quietly appeared in his mind at this moment.

Even though he tried hard to stop his thoughts from rushing in that direction, looking at everything that was happening at this moment, he couldn't help but think of many things.

Harry subconsciously took two steps back, the previously numb buttocks no longer important.

He raised his head, looked at the man in front of him, and cautiously and sensitively asked,

"Sir, sir? … Is there anything else?"

Harry's voice pulled Charlie out of his original trance, and his gaze gradually became more gentle.

He couldn't help but reach out his hand, wanting to stroke the other person's hair.

But what he didn't expect was that as soon as his hand reached out, Harry in front of him quickly took two steps back, like a startled rabbit.

Then, as before, a pair of green eyes stared at him tightly, not knowing what he was thinking.

Charlie's hand hung in the air, stiff for a second or two, before he chose to silently withdraw it.

Perhaps this child simply didn't like being too close to strangers.

Thinking like this, Charlie chose another way.

He slowly squatted down, allowing his line of sight to remain parallel with Harry.

Then, trying to make his tone more gentle, he said,

"Sorry, Harry, don't be afraid… I'm not a bad person… I'm just too happy."

Saying that, Charlie took a deep breath and sincerely said,

"You may not understand… I've been waiting for this day for a long time."

After speaking, he opened his arms and stretched his palms forward, wanting to express that he was not dangerous.

"How do you know my name is Harry…"

Hearing this sudden question, Charlie paused, not knowing how to answer Harry's question for a moment.

How did he know?

He saw it in the book!

"Uh, I…"

Just as he was at a loss for words, trying to find a reason.

In Harry's eyes, all the answers had already converged on the thought in his heart…

Harry pursed his lips, looking at the man in front of him, listening to what he said, and for a moment, all the grievances he had suffered since childhood welled up in his heart.

In his eyes, large tears could no longer be stopped, flowing down his cheeks drop by drop.

At this moment, Harry could no longer care about anything else, looking at the man in front of him, he didn't want to say anything else, and directly plunged into his arms.

"Dad!"

The moment this "Dad" was called out, Charlie was stunned.

Instantly, he knew what Harry had misunderstood.

However, listening to the sobbing sound in his arms, feeling the pair of small hands that tightly hugged him and refused to let go, looking at the shoulders that were constantly twitching.

At such a moment, there was no way he could pull this poor child away.

He knew all the pain this child had suffered, understanding how the Dursleys had abused him since he was little.

He knew that a child so small couldn't possibly not miss his family.

Especially when other children could have someone to rely on when they were bullied, while he could only shrink in the cupboard by himself.

So even if it was only for these few minutes… at least let him vent properly…

Thinking like this, Charlie sighed.

Afterwards, the pair of arms that had been stiff in the air moved.

Silently embracing Harry in his arms, stroking his curly and messy hair, listening to his sobbing cries, letting the tears wet his clothes.

"Oh… heavens."

Russell couldn't help but watch this scene.

While being moved to wipe away the tears in his eyes, he showed a happy smile.

"This is so touching for Russell… Master Charlie has found his child… The Black family has a new bloodline!!"

"Huh?"

Upon hearing this, Harry Potter, who was originally throwing himself into "Dad's" arms to vent his years of grievances, suddenly stopped crying.

Black?

Shouldn't it be Potter!?
