Harry Potter's Dharma

Chapter 81 Unwrapping Presents

It was 12 o 'clock at night.

As a man who used to live in the age of the internet, Zheng Fan rarely slept before midnight. This time was usually used to research magic or potions. Although it was not good for the body, with the help of potions, staying up late was very good for the body.

So, when someone knocked on his hotel window, he was startled. Without hesitation, he pulled out his wand and activated Eagle Vision.

Zheng Fan couldn't help but feel strange.

Within the range of his Eagle Vision, he saw a large group of owls gathered outside his window!

It wasn't just his window. There were owls outside other windows in the hotel as well. There seemed to be a lot of owls outside today.

Only then did he remember that it was Christmas.

Zheng Fan slowly walked to the window and opened it. He used magic to conjure water for the owls to drink. As for food, he had no idea. He did not have the habit of keeping food with him, so he could only let the owls catch mice to eat later.

Before Zheng Fan could react, the owls had already scrambled to throw the things they had brought for him on the ground. Looking at the poor service attitude of the delivery men, Zheng Fan gave them the middle finger. "Be careful, or I'll file a complaint against you!"

Although the owls were born mentally retarded and couldn't speak, they had no problem understanding Zheng Fan's words. Hearing this, they all squawked like they were laughing. You want to file a complaint?

You have to have a place to file a complaint.

Zheng Fan couldn't be bothered to argue with these poor service men. He started to open the packages.

Speaking of Christmas gifts, it was a bit awkward. Zheng Fan didn't choose a delivery service when he sent them, which meant that the things he sent out might be received before Christmas.

After memorizing his experience, Zheng Fan started to open the packages.

The first one was from Hermione. The little girl had won Zheng Fan's heart. She had sent him a beautiful necktie, which was very useful. Although Hogwarts was a school, it was a Western school, so there were many balls. Even minors might need these adult things. This was something that Zheng Fan's way of thinking would be hard to come by.

As for the letter in the package, Zheng Fan was very dissatisfied. The way the little girl expressed her feelings was too subtle. She had already kissed and hugged him, but she still spoke like a good friend.

'It's time to teach her a lesson when school reopens,' Fan thought to himself.

The next package was Billy's. Inside the package was a wooden box. Zheng Fan slowly opened it, and inside it was something that looked like an armguard.

Zheng Fan took it out and looked at it. He rolled up his sleeves and tried to tie it to his forearm. After seeing the design of this thing, Zheng Fan suddenly knew what it was for.

When Billy fought, there was a difference between him and other people. Most people would keep their wands in the pockets of their robes or pants. When they needed to use it, they would quickly pull it out. This action was very big, and it would take about two seconds. But Billy would always move his wrist and the wand would appear in his hand out of nowhere. Looking at it now, it seemed that this was the function of the bracer.

Zheng Fan saw that there was a slot for a wand. He pulled out his black wand and slowly inserted it into the slot.

Then, he imitated Billy's actions. He lowered his arm and flipped his right hand outwards. As he did this, the muscles in his forearm exerted force. A small stone on the bracer lit up, and the wand extended from the bracer into his hand.

Then, as he pulled back his hand, the mechanism in the bracer activated, and the wand was taken back.

After getting used to it a few times, Zheng Fan could finally use it. He couldn't help but feel very happy. Billy's gift was not bad. He didn't see anyone selling it outside. It was probably something from his family, or he had researched it himself.

Billy's letter was very positive. First, he wished Zheng Fan a happy holiday. Then, he said that he was doing well recently. His family was doing well, and so Zheng Fan didn't have to worry.

After reading Billy's letter, Zheng Fan smacked his lips. Doing well?

How could that be? As someone who didn't care about the wizarding world, Zheng Fan knew that Billy's family was not doing well. If there were no accidents, they would soon be eaten up by the surrounding families.

This kid might be a little hot-tempered, but he was quite considerate at times like this. He probably didn't want Zheng Fan to be in a bad mood, so he didn't mention anything negative. Zheng Fan couldn't help but shake his head.

Then, Zheng Fan received a small book of ancient spells from Dumbledore, and a big box of honey candy. In the letter, Dumbledore praised Zheng Fan's hat without holding back. He even said that he would rely on it to survive this winter. Zheng Fan had goosebumps all over his body.

Zheng Fan flipped through the spellbook. Most of the content was about how wizards protected themselves in ancient times to avoid being discovered. There were also some guides on how to pretend to be in pain during a fire execution. Zheng Fan was both amused and annoyed. What kind of stupid things did the Church in the Middle Ages do? If they were to read this book, they would probably piss off a lot of devout believers.

McGonagall gave him a box of pebbles. After reading the letter, Zheng Fan realized that these pebbles had been cast with a high-level transformation spell. As long as he threw them out, they could turn into small animals for half an hour. They were very magical and could be used in many situations. Zheng Fan accepted them with satisfaction.

Zheng Fan also liked the things that Flitwick taught him. It was a collection of high-level defensive and counterattack techniques for wizards. There were many defensive and counterattack techniques written in it. It seemed that Flitwick believed that Zheng Fan had violent tendencies.

Zheng Fan was even more surprised by what Snape gave him.

This crazy and stingy old man gave him a bottle of Spirit Blessing Potion!

Merlin above, this thing was not cheap. Many high-level potioneers couldn't make it. If it was sold in Knockdown Alley, a ten milliliter bottle could fetch a lot of Garen, not to mention a hundred milliliter bottle like the one Snape gave him!

Zheng Fan was so shocked that he checked it a few times. He only kept it after confirming that it was not poisonous.

As for the other players, they gave Zheng Fan some useless things, such as brooms, maintenance tools and the like.
