He Comes From the Void

Chapter 736: Winter is coming

After the kiss, Kahn, who is still sane, tells Kai'Sa that it is not suitable to have children.

"The result of the whole world depends on this winter. The war is coming, and now is not the time to have children. When we win the battle, we will have children again, so that they can be born in a stable world and grow up peacefully and happily."

Kai'Sa felt that it made sense, and the flush on her face slowly subsided: "It's getting late, it's really time to go to bed."

As she said, she got into the bed with her head sullen, and soon there was a slight snoring sound, beckoning him to fall asleep. Kai'Sa's breath turned into a warm airflow in the neck, Kahn closed his eyes and fell asleep in a short while.

In his sleep, Kahn vaguely felt that his surroundings were getting colder and colder, as if being dragged from the warm bed to the cold ice cave.

He started to feel puzzled. Kai'Sa should not have any trouble kicking the quilt. She could lie on him motionless all night.

Kahn opened his eyes in confusion and found himself lying on the ice instead of on the bed. He immediately pushed Kai'Sa in his arms, she frowned, as if she had a nightmare.

Kai'Sa opened her closed eyebrows, looked at the surrounding environment and muttered: "Where are we? Why do you feel familiar."

The gust of wind whipped, bringing the sound of howling wind, the black ice statue of the three sisters, silently watching them.

"This is the bridge of sorrow after being frozen under the influence of Anivia's power." Kahn replied inexplicably.

"Aren't we in Lakstark? How could we appear in Frostguard Fortress... No, this is a dream!"

Kahn wailed his frozen lips. He had already realized this. What he wondered now was why the two of them entered the same dream? He could be sure that Kai'Sa beside him was real.

There was a low echo in the wind and snow, the main fort door slowly opened, and a tall woman walked out of it.

She walked down the ancient steps, her figure never shaken by the wind. Her skin was as cold as a dead body, and as white as fresh snow. The hood with long horns covered her eyes, but Kahn felt a strange gaze, as if a gaze was looking at them through the ice storm.

"Li Sang Zhuo, don't be unharmed." Kahn greeted as usual.

"Don't be unharmed, you still have the face to say." Li Sangzhuo gave people a feeling of falling into an ice cave, the winter-like indifference from the words, almost freezing his lips and tongue.

Kahn could feel that this icy target was directed at him.

"What's the matter?" His face did not change, even though he felt that his face had been beaten to the brink of bleeding.

"You made a problem from it and provoked the war between Volibear and me."

"You can't say that. I have always been targeting monitors. It's just that Volibear is not honest and insists on having trouble with you. Don't you want to eliminate the monitors? Accept reality if you want."

"You can really cause me trouble."

The conflict between Volibear and her is irreconcilable. This war will come sooner or later, and Kahn’s presence as a catalyst accelerates the process. It is something she never dared to think about letting Volibear go to destroy the watcher by using a knife to kill people. Perhaps she approves of this plan in her heart, even if the cost is very heavy for her.

But she has paid a heavier price, so it is not so difficult to accept.

Since Li Sandra didn't come to ask for trouble, Kahn didn't hesitate to give her some advice. Although he hated Li Sandra's personality, he didn't even hate all the Frost Guards. There were still some good guys in it.

"Now it’s too late to take your men to escape. Volibear just wants to destroy the Frostguard Fortress. You can take your people to rebuild the fortress elsewhere as long as you avoid it."

   "I can't go." Lisantuo said.

   "Aren't you afraid of death?"

"Some things are more terrifying than death."

Kahn seemed to have thought of something, his eyes narrowed into a dark slit. The only thing that can make Li Sangzhuo more important than fate is...

"You sent someone to spread the rumors that went viral outside?"

   "I released it."

"In order to cover up the truth, how many people will die this time?"

Li Sangzhuo lightly opened his dry and cracked black lips and sent a freezing blessing, and then his figure slowly disappeared into the ice storm.

"good luck."

Then, the two woke up from their dreams with clear memories.

"It's inexplicable." Kaisha grabbed her messy hair and kept knocking her head to Kahn next to her and asked: "What does she mean? She's standing up again, trying to solve the watcher, but she doesn't want to. Free up the battlefield. Does she have to get in the way of us?"

"No, she has her own plans."

   "What is it?"

"She wanted to use this war to conceal the truth about her collusion with the monitor." Kahn said.

Li Sangzhuo was afraid of being revealed from her dark history, so she wanted to use the war to cover up the truth, so that people mistakenly thought that Volibear went to her instead of the watcher. People will only remember that Volibear defeated Lisandro, and no one will know what was buried under the once howling abyss.

It is not ashamed to lose to the wild demigod, as long as her dark trails are not discovered, maybe her fearlessness can be remembered forever by the world.

But all these have a price, and what is the price of war? It is death and sacrifice!

Li Sangzhuo used the death and sacrifice of his followers to wash away his sins and preserve his reputation.

It is really scary to think about it for a while.

However, Kahn does not intend to break Li Sandro's plan, because war can increase Volibear's strength. War makes him more and more brave in the war. Volibear wants to face with the most powerful posture. For the watcher, it is just a warm-up before the decisive battle.

  ...

Winter arrives as scheduled, while Anivia is still sleeping in the egg.

The so-called rumors that Anivia flew over the Freljord, waving its wings and splashing frost waves turned into the first snow in winter, no longer hold up. Kahn told Nunu that snow in winter is a natural phenomenon, but he still stubbornly believes that this is Anivia's masterpiece, and said Kahn is too romantic that no girls would like it.

Kahn said nothing, and walked away with Kai'Sa. They have more important things to do.

These legends are all passed on from the fireside with the smell of grilled fish. They are deeply ingrained in the concepts of the Freljord people, and to correct them is to find it boring.

They came to the cedar forest outside the city. The heavy snow stained the mountain forest and covered the original dark green of the pine leaves.

There was no time to admire the snow scene here anymore. They took a last look at the huge ice sculpture of Avarosa in the sanctuary, and both randomly entered the wormhole.

On the ground thousands of miles away from Lakstark, Volibear couldn't wait for the moment Aoun sealed the furnace, and led the bears to march north towards Frostguard Fortress.

A big battle is about to start.
