Heaven Destroyer

Chapter 15: Battle

The man looked at them with his sharp eyes and curled his lips into a mocking smile.

"Are you the one who killed the clone of my master?"

He asked with a deep voice and released pressure from his body. Rebecca was still better off, but Ayaan fell on his knees, 'Fucking hell! Am I going to always live like a loser? A frustrated look appeared on his face.

Oriel didn't pay any attention to Ayaan anymore when he saw how weak Ayaan was. He turned his attention to Rebecca; a surprised expression appeared on his face. There was someone on this barren land who could handle his pressure without much problem and stand tall and proud in front of him.

"Interesting~," he murmured while a smile was still playing on his lips.

"Are you the one who killed the clone of my master?" He again asked but with a louder voice and released even more pressure from his body.

Rebecca took a few steps but didn't show any weakness. There was a furious expression on her face, but a smile appeared on her face when she heard his query.

"Are you talking about that disgusting head?"

"How dared you insult my master!!?" As Rebecca finished speaking, an enraged shout came from the man.

His master was the only person he had ever respected, but now someone was insulting his master. How could he take this insult? He looked at Rebecca with an angry face, but suddenly all the anger disappeared. What appeared in its place was a cruel smile.

"Oh, how beautiful are you? First, I will taste this beautiful body of yours then interrogate, haha!."

He laughed loudly then said, "Don't worry, I will make you one of my maids and ravage that beautiful body of yours every day, Hahaha!!"

Rebecca's eyes turned red from anger. She placed her hand on her neck and snatched the pendants out from it.

A barrier of water appeared around her, and her hair turned blue, and her body started to fly. She stood in front of the man and looked in his eyes directly without any emotion. As Oriel saw this, a dreadful expression appeared on his face.

"Great mage!!"

He shouted in dread and without waiting any longer turned around and started to escape. He was only High mage, but Rebecca had already reached the great mage, which was whole one realm above him.

Ranking of the mages decides according to the magic power inside their bodies. Novice mage was the first realm, followed by the junior mage; Ayaan was at this level. Subsequently, come senior mage, a high mage, and last but not least, the great mage. And every realm was divided into ten minor realms.

Every difference in the minor realm makes a significant difference in the magic power, much less the contrast of the whole realm. She could pinch him with her one finger if she wanted to, and that was the reason for the dread of Oriel when he realized at what realm her magic power reached.

Ayaan looked at the back of the girl, and admiration flashed in his eyes. He never imagined that the crazy battle maniac was hiding this much power inside her.

"Did you know, Birdy?" he asked with a serious expression.

"No, didn't I tell you that something was interrupting me to probe her magic, and I couldn't probe her realm? It must be the pendant she just took out from her neck," she explained immediately, and a surprised expression appeared on his face when he heard her words.

She didn't have any magic power inside her body, but she was very knowledgeable. Maybe, one of the most knowledgeable people in the whole universe, but even she couldn't see through her.

Ayaan looked at the ordinary pendant, which was in Rebecca's hand. He didn't notice anything extraordinary about that pendant, but now he knew it wasn't any ordinary pendant.

When Ayaan was daydreaming, Rebecca arrived behind Oriel and held him by his neck. Without uttering nonsense anymore, she slammed his body on the ground.

'Boom!'

"Arghh…"

He groaned on the ground in pain. And looked around the find the girl but didn't find her anywhere and became confused.

"Are you searching for me?" A cold chili voice came from behind him, and his body froze when he heard it.

Oriel Gibbs turned around to found a beautiful face was looking at him with a mocking smirk. He didn't wait and punched at her, but she dodged it like a child's play and again arrived behind him and kicked on his back.

Oriel fell on the ground flatly. He looked at her and found her still standing at the same place where she was previously. A crazy maniac like expression appeared on his face and started to chant some kind of spell.

Rebecca didn't interrupt him because she was confident in herself, but only after a few seconds, she regretted her decision.

A massive storm of wind appeared around Oriel, and it was still forming without stopping if he was able to execute this spell, even Rebecca won't be able to escape unscathed.

Without waiting any longer, she also started to recite a spell, and a considerable barrier began to form around the city.

"How could he be this dreadful? See the size of those blades of wind element if they were able to land on the city no one will be able to survive." Ayaan murmured.

"What do you know? That crazy eagle is burning his life force to cast a forbidden spell. Even, he succeeds in casting the spell, he will become frail, and someone like you can easily kill him at that time." Birdy, who heard his words, said with a disdainful voice.

"Run! Or we will die without a doubt!!" Errol, who was inside the city, shouted in dread and started to run without looking back, he didn't even look at his daughter at this time. Suzi, who saw this instantly, felt a pain in her heart, and teardrops started to fall from her eyes.

Yesterday, she told her father about sending two people behind Rebecca. Thereon, his attitude became so cold that it was unbearable for her, but she could understand his anger when she heard his reason, but now, he left her without even giving her a single glance.

And at this time, Suzi wasn't only one who was abandoned by her loved ones, but many people were left all alone at this time when they needed the support more than ever. But would they be able to escape from this peril?

Rebecca completed her spell quickly, and the water barrier covered the whole city, but she was still not confident if this would be enough to stop the attack.

Oriel looked at the barrier, and a cruel smile appeared on his face before speaking, "You think you can stop my forbidden spell which can increase my magic power by whole one major realm with the sprite grade spell just because your magic is stronger than me, but you are forgetting that I am burning my life force for casting this spell. Let's see how you will stop it, hahaha!"

A grave expression appeared on Rebecca's face and used even more power to cast her spell.

Without delaying anymore, Oriel attacked the barrier. Blades after blades landed on the water barrier. It was able to hold for some time, but slowly the wall of water started to break.

"Cough!"

She wasn't able to hold and coughed mouthful blood. The creaks on the barrier increased in an instant.

"Boom!"

"Creak!"

A huge sword made of wind landed on the barrier, and it passed through the water wall.

"Ahh!"

"Run!"

"Arghhhh!"

Screams full of panic echoed throughout the city. And many blades landed from the sky and disintegrated the bodies of many people. A painful expression appeared on Rebecca's face when she saw increasing corpses on the ground and murmured, "It's still the same. I am still useless and can't protect anyone."

Ayaan, who was standing not far away from her, saw this and shouted at her, "You crazy woman always trained so hard, but when the time of battle came, you are admitting defeat this easily!!"

Rebecca looked at him in surprise, and a confused expression appeared on her beautiful face. She never trained when she was with him, then how does he know about it. Ayaan saw her expression and understood; he was in deep trouble now. But he never regretted his decision because it did help her to come out of her stupor.

Without thinking anymore, she as well started to burn her life force and burned all the magic power inside her body.

The thickness of the water barrier increased tenfold in an instant.

'Boom!'

'Boom!'

All the attacks blocked by the barrier without letting pass even a single attack. The effect of the forbidden spell slowly started to decrease.

A panicked expression appeared on Oriel's face, but he didn't have any energy to walk much less to run. So, he fell on the place he was standing.

As the spell disappeared, Ayaan didn't wait anymore and took Rebecca in his arms. She saw his face last time before closing her eyes.
