(THE TIDE THROUGH INFUSION)

Yerre and Madam Rose strolled back to Lady Vendia chamber and went inside the guest room. Madam Rose assist Yerre over to the soft couch, and together they sat side to side. 

"...Ssh, it's okay, don't cry anymore, hm?" Madam Rose mentions as she tried to comfort her daughter while caressing her daughter back.

"Why is Sir Aloit angry of me, mother? I'm only worried about him. Why is he angry?" Yerre asks, hiccuping as her sobs turn messier and uglier.

"Ssh..." Madam Rose responds as she embraces her daughter's body that trembled from crying into her arms while caressing her hair to ease her sobs. 

She does not know what to say at the moment. So she only caresses and embraces her child in her arms for two hours until her daughter stops sobbing. 

"Vendia?" Madam Rose calls, but Yerre does not reply. Madam Rose wonder why then heard a soft breath coming from her chest. Madam Rose lowers her head to check on her daughter, then saw that she has fallen asleep in her arms.

"Haiyooo, she falls asleep from crying so much," Madam Rose utter as she kissed her daughter's forehead and lay her gently on the couch.

She went inside the chamber, then walk close to the drawer and touch the large size tassel beside the curtain. Madam Rose pull it down, then like a flowing vein, the whole place inside the servant quarters echoed a sound of the bell signaling everyone.

All servants who were busy preparing their utensils for eating breakfast got startled, then look to where the bell is pointing and saw that it's heading towards Lady Vendia chamber.

"That is from Lady Vendia chamber," The other maid mentions, making Mia turn her head to her with knitted brows and observing eyes checking well if the bell does come from Lady Vendia and when she does. 

Mia then saw that it does come from Lady Vendia chamber. She turns her head, then wanders her eyes inside the servant's quarter dining room, searching for Mary's whereabouts until she spotted her on the right side, six meters away from her, busy helping the other servants, putting the food and utensils to the other table.

"Mary!" She shouts at her making her flinch in surprise. Mary looks to where the voice who calls her then spotted Mia. She looks straight at her with wonder eyes as she went over to her area, then ask.

"What is it, Mia?" Mary asks with an innocent eye. 

"Aiyo, didn't you hear the bell just now?" Mia asks, checking if she heard the signal or not. 

"No, I was caught up in arranging things for our breakfast. Why?" Mary responds, curious, which made Mia felt dumbfounded. 

"The young miss is calling for you," Mia mentions while she turns around and readies their food to eat for breakfast. Mary looks at Mia as she helps others arranging the other utensils.

"Okay, I will eat later. You all go ahead and eat breakfast. Don't wait for me," Mary responded. 

"Okay, Oh! Mary! Can you also go look for Beky for me when you come back here later," Mia demands to Mary.

"Okay!" Mary responds, shouting, for she is now far away from their quarter dining room. 

Mary hurried from walking. So she can get to her young miss chamber in haste to tend for her needs. After ten minutes of striding, Mary then arrived in front of the door outside Lady Vendia chamber and knock. 

"Miss?" She called outside, signaling the people inside the room.

"Come in," Madam Rose reply making Mary surprised.

"M-madam?" Mary asks outside the door.

"Yes, get in and help me with your miss," Madam Rose respond as Mary then open the door in haste upon hearing Madam Rose's words and went inside only to see Madam Rose waiting for her with a calm expression. 

"Did something bad happen to young miss, Madam?" Mary asks, worried. 

"Nothing bad happens, but," Madam Rose respond, which made Mary sigh in relief, but her unfinished words make Mary inhale back her worries. 

"What is it?" Mary ask. 

"I will tell you everything, but help me tuck in your miss to her bed for a while," Madam Rose mentions, making Mary nod.

The two of them then went inside the guest room, and Mary then saw Yerre lying on the soft couch sleeping with lashes filled with tears. 

"Aiyo, she cried in her sleep again," Madam Rose mentions in a sad tone of voice as she walks over to her daughter, then takes her handkerchief from her cloth pocket and uses it to wipe all the tears away from her daughter's eyelashes.

"What happened, Madam?" Mary asks, concern. 

"I will you the whole story after we tuck her in back to her bed," Madam Rose reply as Mary then went over to help her carry Yerre back to Lady Vendia bed.

They put Vendia hands to their right shoulder and carry her back to her room. So she can rest in comfort. 

"Sleep tight, my child," Madam Rose mentions as she covered her daughter's waist with a blanket to keep her warm, then turns to look at Mary, who also looks at her miss with a worried expression. 

Madam Rose smiled upon seeing the expression and patted Mary's left shoulder, making Mary avert her to look at Yerre and turn to look at her Madam. 

"Let's go talk to her guest room," Madam Rose added with a gentle smile, and Mary nod. 

The two of them then walk over to Lady Vendia guest room and talk about what happened earlier. Madam Rose and Mary sat on the separate couch as she tells everything to Mary, leaving no space for discontent.

"What? Sir Aloit already told the miss about what happened to the Voldrone land?" Mary asks in worry. 

"Yes, he told her everything as well as the punishment he got from King Phantrel," Madam Rose mentions, making Mary shocked. 

"WHAT? B-but why? Sir Aloit knows that the young miss won't let him go," Mary responds in anxiety. 

"I know that is why he burst in anger and made my daughter cry," Madam Rose mentions which made Mary look at her in disbelief. 

"What? Sir Aloit won't raise his voice to young miss," Mary responds. 

"I know, I also know that. I know there's something else," Madam Rose reply, making Mary nod. 

"Aloit and Marthen are still inside the living room talking. I will go back to the living room to talk further with them," Madam Rose mentions, which made Mary want to join them to know the reason behind Sir Aloit behavior earlier. 

"Can I go with you, Madam? I want to know his reason too," Mary request, but Madam Rose shake her head three times, rejecting her request. 

"I want you to stay inside Vendia chamber, guard her, and when she wakes up. Give her jasmine tea and sweets that she loves to eat. Accompany her until I come back. Don't leave her behind her chamber," Madam Rose demand with a face full of anxiousness. 

"Why is your face showed displeased, Madam. Are there other things that happened?" Mary asks, curious. Madam Rose looks straight at her for two seconds, then smiles. 

"There's nothing else. Why? You don't want to guard your miss?" Madam Rose ask, making Mary panic in fear by her words. 

"No, Madam does not what I mean-uh. I..." Before Mary could finish her sentence, her tummy already rumbles, making Madam Rose understand. 

"Ahh, you have not eaten breakfast yet?" Madam Rose asks while Mary looks at her with an embarrassed expression.

"...Uh, ahh... I apologize, Madam, for being disrespectful in front of you," Mary responds, apologizing to her. 

"Aiya, you did nothing wrong. Why are you apologizing? Go on. Go back to your all quarter for a while and eat breakfast. Come back after. I will wait here for you to come back," Madam Rose mentions, making Mary look straight at her with delight and thankful eyes. 

"Thank you, madam," Mary stood out from the couch, vowing to her Madam. 

"Em," Madam Rose reply with a sincere smile. 

"Then I will be right back, Madam," Mary mentions with a thankful smile as Madam Rose only nods. After that, she then leaves the chamber and runs back to their servant quarter to eat her share for breakfast.

While she eats her food, someone smacks her head hard. That made her almost vomit out and choked to the food she swallowed. She turns her head to the right side with anger. 

"YOU! Why did you hit me out of nowhere? You almost had me choked in my food! Are you trying to kill me?" Mary hisses in anger while the food she munches is still in her mouth, making her look like a fat chipmunk who munched its peanuts.

"I told you to find Beky once you come back. Where is she?" Mia asked, making Mary sigh and swallowed down her food. 

"I don't have time to find her. I am in haste. Madam Rose ask for me to guard and tend to young miss after I finished eating breakfast," Mary speaks out her reason. Mia deep sighs and nods. 

"I understand. I'm sorry for smacking you a minute ago," Mia apologize. 

"Hemp! Go and find her yourself. You don't have an errand right now, right?" Mary reply. 

"Yes, I am free at the moment," Mia reply. 

"Good, go find her instead. Go now. I need to finish my breakfast fast. Madam Rose is waiting for me to come back to young miss chamber, so don't bother me anymore," Mary mentions, making Mia sigh and nod again. 

"Okay," Mia responds, then leaves her alone.

Mia went to search for Beky, who had been gone for almost three hours now. She first went to ask the guards, the other servants, and the other people inside the residence, but they only answer common words. 

"No, I haven't seen her here roaming. Why?" 

Mia didn't bother to answer their question anymore as she searches further for her trusted friend inside and outside the mansion. But still, no Beky can be seen.

Mia started to feel worried and nervous. She went over to the living room to ask for her master. Maybe they know where her friends are, but Butler Sebi blocks her from entering by saying. 

"The master and Sir Aloit is inside talking about an abrupt matter you can ask the master after," 

"But, Sir Sebi, I only want three minutes, I only want to ask abo-" 

"Mia, you know the rules," Sir Sebi stop her from talking further. Mia lowers her head as she sighs, then gazes up again with a smile. 

"I understand, Sir Sebi. Then I will come back later," Mia responded. 

"Em," Sir Sebi brief reply as Mia then leave, going to someplace that Beky love to waste time. To the garden, but still, no shadow and figure of her. 

'Haaa, maybe she got a mission from Lord Marthen,' Mia thought, speculating things. 

"But, she always told me whenever the master gives her a task or if she will go somewhere place that's far," Mia utter as worried arise in her heart and mind, but a sudden familiar voice made her jump away from all the emotions and feeling she feels.

"Oy! Why are you here? Did you guys already finished eating?" 

Mia turned to her back and saw Beky with a blade scratch to her cheeks. 

"Yo! What happened why your face showed like you have seen a ghost?" Beky asks with a grinned smile. Mia runs over to her and hugs her friend in relief.
