HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(OVER COMING THE LEASE)

They are still young and still shouting for fun. Three people are now outside the Duke residence facing each other like they have done something dangerous. Angela had finished the task that Alda had given to her in haste. She didn't face any problems or obstacles that made her late in fulfilling the task. It was like the weather and the day were on her side.

She looked at Kayla, still feeling worried and suspicious that she might bring disaster to Alda's life. She stared at Kayla for almost three minutes with an intense curiosity drawn into her eyes. Kayla felt like someone was staring at her with an intense desire to ask questions. So she turned to her side and saw Angela. She smiled at Angela and said.

"What is it, little girl? You want to ask something from me? "

Her words shocked Angela and Alda, who chuckled. She forgot the fact that Mrs. Tilda could read and knew what people would think of her from afar. Angela lowered her head, feeling embarrassed and shy about her behavior towards Kayla. Alda went over to her side, then patted Angela's head with her hands and said.

"She is worried about you decieving me about the fact that I lost the lamp,"

She says those words while her eyes look straight at Kayla. She nodded and understood Angela's side. She showed a gentle smile at Angela once more and replied.

"You don't have to worry. I can't surrender her to the Duke because she also has something from me that could cause a negative view of the Duke's perspective on me, "she admitted.

"I can't take naughty actions while Lady Cathlen has something already prepared for me to suffer, you know,"

Angela sighed in relief upon hearing Kayla responded, then smiled back at Kayla. Kayla and Alda then went over to the horse that Angela bought for them in town and leapt up to sit on top of it. When Alda had already climbed to the top of her horse, A sudden realization then came rash to her as she thought that this must be the first time Kayla had ridden a horse. She must have a hard time climbing up to the horse. But when she turned around, She saw that Kayla was already sitting on her horse and she was shocked.

Her thoughts were still circulating and she was still buffering at what she had discovered, until she regained the strength to talk and gathered her words into one sentence. She pointed her index finger like she was pointing at the suspects and said.

"You! Do you already know how to ride a horse? "

Kayla looked at her with easy eyes and an answer.

"Of course, When I got stuck inside the book, I already trained myself on how to ride a horse properly, "

Alda gathers her shocked self and nods. She didn't make their conversation long anymore and just looked at Angela with a thankful smile. She thanked Angela for doing a great job of finding them a good horse to ride in the forest, and Angela felt honored to be praised by her. She responded to Alda's words with a sincereply.

"Your Welcome, Miss,"

And Alda replied with a nod. They then bid her good bye, saying that they would be going to the Astrod forest now. Angela bids them back a good bye and they leave, riding the horse away from the duke's residence, leaving Angela alone outside the passage door. From the time that they left, Angela went back inside the garden and observed the surroundings before she proceeded back to the servant quarters.

On the other hand, Alda Kayla was already in town riding a horse in haste. They pass through quiet streets that are filled with dazzling lights and merry vibes. They continue digging away until the image of the Astrod forest becomes clearer. Their speed began to hurry as they rode further closer to the forest.

It didn't take long for them to enter inside, and Alda then signaled Kayla to stop for a bit as she saw the fresh meat of the rabbit being eaten by the wild animals on the ground in front of them. Kayla looked at her confused and puzzled as to why Alda made them stop entering further into the forest by riding a horse.

Alda saw through her disguise and pointed out the pure soul of the rabbit using her index finger on the ground. Kayla turned to where Alda was pointing, then saw fresh eaten meat and bones of a rabbit. She got worried and her body turned stiff as she felt an intense fear about going further inside. The fresh meat of innocent animals has not long been left. Meaning, the owner of that meat is still lingering inside the forest. A wolf who never felt afraid of hunting and eating any kind of animal as long as it was free, filled its stomach and it was delicious.

Kayla looked straight at Alda with fearful eyes and a shivering body. She is scared and afraid. Alda receives her signal and reactions. She sighed and nodded.

"It's okay, you don't have to worry. Lets take another path, "she said. But Kayla shakes her head no. She was so afraid to take that other path Alda was talking about. She always believed that every turn had their uncertainty and every move had their consequences. In her book she wrote that this forest was a mystery. It is filled with lots of things and secrets that no one can understand. It can also play tricks on you. So, as a creator, she knows what they may face before the other party can think of anything to do.

This forest she created out of her mind was dangerous and very unhuman. People who do not know the fantasy genre might find this forest very surreal and interesting. But for her as a creator, this forest was a bad omen no matter how you looked at it.

"No, let's just go back home and visit some other time where it's already safe," she said. Rejecting Alda's ideas. She looked at her with a strange expression and answered.

"I know what you are thinking. You think this forest still lingers with danger and consequences right? "

Kayla nodded and answered.

"Yes, so let's go back home and come back here tomorrow instead,"

"I don't want to die for a second time," she added. Alda let out a deep sigh and replied to her with a tone full of certainty.

"Still remember what I told you before we lived on Voldrone land?"

Kayla nodded and continued listening to Alda's explanation as she said.

"Well, the flow of the story has already changed. Meaning, every place inside the book also changes. So you don't have to worry, "she paused as she looked straight at Kayla, who still had an anxious and scared expression.

"And besides, I have already visited this forest at night because I don't know. I forgot to count, "she said.

Kayla nodded and sighed in relief, but the worry she felt still remained.

"Okay, I trust you. But if things get dangerous, you must take action fast so we can leave this forest alive. Did you hear me? I don't want to die for a second time, especially getting eaten like a fried chicken, "Kayla said, which made Alda chuckle and feel light inside her heart.

"Don't worry, the wolf said they hate unmeaty people," she quips a little, which made Kayla laugh a bit.

The two of them then turned to the left side of the forest. Trying the other path that Alda was talking about earlier. They ride their horses at a walking speed and as they go further along the path they choose to take. The sound of the howling wolf suddenly rang out all over the place inside the forest, making Kayla startled and, once again, panicked.

Alda looked at her as she sighed and said.

"Stop panicking and just focus on the path. The howling is far from us. They won't get to us that fast, you know, "

Kayla's hands were trembling and her body was shaking from fear. It is a good way to start the day.

"Are you kidding me? Wolf can run faster than a car, "she said with a panicked tone of voice while her eyes were wide as an owl because of the nervousness she felt all over her body.

Alda gazed at her with tired eyes and an exhausted expression.

"Aish! You and Angela are alike. " Alda mentions it with an irritated tone of voice.

"You go back home alone then," she added, pissed off. Kayla immediately shook her head no. Alda sighed and replied.

"See? If we go back now, I'm sure some of them have already blocked the entrance. So it is better for us to proceed and meet Sir Arnold. Because him and his brother are experts at these kinds of situations, "

Kayla raised her head and looked straight at her with hopeful eyes. It is a good way to start the day.

"They're hunters?" she asked. Alda smirked and chuckled at her words and answer.

"Yes and no. They already stopped hunting animals a long time ago. But yeah, you could say that, "

Kayla sensed a deep relief inside her heart and smiled at Alda.

"Okay, let's proceed," she said.
