HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(YOUR REASON'S DOESN'T DEFINE WHO YOU ARE)

The next day, Mary opened the curtain inside Vendia's room. It brought a flash of bright light inside the room.

"Erm... is too bright," Vendia whined.

"Young miss, Good morning." Mary greeted her.

"Mary?"

"Yes, Young Miss. It's me. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, I did. Why are you here so early in the morning? Did you have your breakfast already?"

"Yes, I already ate, Miss. I came here to help you get ready,"

"Help me change? Why?" I mumbled in a daze.

"Are you still sleepy?"

"Hm? Yes, I am. Can I go back to sleep?" I yawned.

"I'm afraid you can't, Miss. His Excellency and Madam are already at the dining room waiting for you,"

"They are?" I felt drowsy. I wanted to sleep more.

"Yes, come now, Miss, let's get you ready," she said.

I nodded and yawned.

Mary helped me change into a decent dress, then fixed my hair up and led me out of my room.

"Good Morning, Young Miss," Some servants greeted me as we stride away through the hallway.

"Morning," I answered, still yawning. Then, like wind, I think of my best friend again.

'I wonder where Alda is and what kind of appearance she gets inside this book,'

"I hope she's safe," I murmur to myself,

"Did you say something, miss?" Mary asks.

"No, it's nothing," I answer and smile,

"Good morning, Milady,"

"Sir Sebi?"

"How's your morning, miss?" He asks.

"Is good," I answer.

"That is wonderful to hear,"

"Sir Sebi, miss Vendia, already know you?" Mary join in our conversation,

"Uh, yes. We greeted each other at the garden last night," I answer,

"WHAT? You went outside?" Mary asks, concerned.

"Uh, yes, I do. Why?"

"Mary is time," Sir Sebi interrupts us.

"Oh, sorry," She apologies,

"Well then, Young Miss, I came to escort you to the dining room," he smiles.

"Oh right,"

"Young, Miss, I'll see you later," Mary bid goodbye. She was probably going to do her duties. I nodded and smiled at her.

"Right this way, young miss," he leads the way as we walk through the hallway.

"We're here. I'll be going back to my post. Enjoy your meal, Miss."I smiled at him as he smiled back at me, bowed, then left.

A creak sounded as I opened the door.

"Good morning, Mother and Father," I smiled and greeted them.

"Good morning, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?" Father asks.

"Yes, I did, Father," I answer, smiling.

"That's good to hear,"

"How are you feeling?" Mother asks

"I'm feeling light and well now, Mother." I smiled and sat beside her.

"That's good to hear. Eat okay?" I nod and grin.

"Yes, I will, mother," I took some food and put it on my plate, and started eating.

"By the way, Vendia, your Father has something to tell you,"

"What is it?" I asked.

"The royal family is hosting an imperial party tomorrow, and they sent us an invitation," Father responds, and I nodded.

"Your mother and I wanted to ask your permission first before accepting the invitation," Father added,

'Oh,' I smile, feel warm inside.

"Yes, are you ready to go out, sweetheart? " She consults me.

"I..." I stare at both of them, feeling indecisive.

I don't know, and no, I might meet the prince and the heroine.

"We can decline it if you like, sweetie. There is no need to feel pressure about it," Father mentioned.

"Yes, you are more important than a party," Mother agreed. I looked at them, feeling warm and in comfort inside.

'What a satisfying feeling. I'm jealous of you, Vendia. So this is what it feels when your both parents loved you,'

"It's fine, mother and father. Accept the invitation," I grin, ensuring them that is fine.

"Are you certain?" Mother asks, and I nod.

"All right, we shall."

"You eat and be ready. We're going to town later, this afternoon,"

"For what, Mother?" I ask.

"For your dress. I want my daughter to be a shimmering star at the ball," she amplifies, and I blushed.

She's resembled my mother in my previous life. Mother, I miss her so much.

"What is it sweetheart," Mother asks,

"Hm?"

"Why you look so down? Do you not like your mother to buy a new dress for you? Did your mother force you so much?" She panics, and I smile.

"Ah, it's not like that. I recalled something unrelaxable, don't fret, I'm fine," I reacted.

"Is it about the prince?" Father asks, but his statement sounds bitter.

"What? N, no," I stutter from astonishment.

"Vendia?" Mother stares at me with a disturbed face.

How could I? That guy hates my character inside this book. So why should I bother him?

'I am yearning for my former parents and my best friend Alda, but I can't tell you both about that because if I do, I will be in trouble.' I deep sigh and answer them with lies.

"No, it's not about the prince. It's nothing, Mother and Father. Don't worry, okay?" I assured them, and I sighed.

"Okay, let us continue eating," Father proposes, and I nod,

"Yes, father," I relaxed and continued eating with them.
