Help! I'm In Love With A Liar
Chapter 1:Main Character: Cecilia Zhang
Apart from a huge pile of memories, the city gave me the reason to write this book. The book on the life I experienced here, the lessons I learnt, the friends I made and how I met him…
I was born and brought up in an affluent family but with simple middle class values. I always strived to excel in studies and other extracurricular activities. Though, always desiderating to be a topper in the class, I always failed to do so and remained an above average student unlike my elder sister, Amelia. She was consistently a class topper and I always considered it to be totally unscrupulous. I studied harder but she was always the one scoring better and winning every possible prize, even in sports and arts. Astoundingly, something happened in the last year of school and to my disbelief, I was finally a class topper in 12th class. This score helped me obtain admission for graduation in a famous college in the city beautiful, Shenzen.
I could never be convinced when people opined that the hostel days were the best days of a person. Now, I sit back and reminisce these six years and a tear drops down my eye. These were the most carefree days of my life, when I assimilated important lessons on friendship and love. The most important learning for me about love is that, it is not important to be able to spend an entire lifetime with the person you love. If you are destined to be together, nothing in the world can thwart you from doing it. But if you are not, then all your efforts are in vain.
It took me an entire one year of graduation, to accept the fact that I will have to reside in the hostel, without my family for another two years and probably more than that. Our hostel rules were very stringent. We could go out of the college only on Tuesdays for three hours and on Sundays for six hours. We could go for a night out to our homes, only once in a month for two days. The first year of college was more about exploring the city beautiful in the limited amount of time we were permitted, to cross the college gates. I joined the college as a plump and a cute girl and by the time, I joined second year, I had lost tremendous weight and had extremely long hair that complemented my attractive looks. I gradually started to love my college life and was quite happy with the way my life was turning up.
