Help! I'm In Love With A Liar

"Listen Cecilia, yes I was in a relation but I never truly loved her. I always wanted to break up with her. After meeting you, I realized the true meaning of love and friendship. I just love you and only you. I know, I have lied to you. I did all this, just to come closer to you. That's it," he pleaded. "I fell in love with you the moment I saw you and it grew stronger with every passing day," he added.

All his words had no effect on me. I just knew, I had been deceived by him and I had hurt three of my best friends.

"It's all over Wang and I'll give you back your ring. Please don't ever call me," I said, heartbroken.

"Please Cecilia, trust me, I won't ever lie to you now," he implored.

"Sorry Wang, we are done," I declared, still weeping my heart out.

I hung up the phone and switched it off. I lied down on my bed, for the rest of the day and sobbed unruly. Chunhua knew I was crying, but to her, our friendship was finished. I did not even get up for the dinner and Chunhua did not even bother to ask me.

This made me feel even guiltier. Next morning, I realized Chunhua was correct. I entered the mess for breakfast and every single girl turned to look at me. They were gossiping about me and I could hear the words like "bitch", "flirt", "breakup expert". This was all getting humiliating for me and I left the mess without having my breakfast.

That day, I planned to change my number and to drop the coaching class. Every possible way, for Wang to contact me, was finished, and I had no friends left in the hostel. Every girl propounded that if they befriended me, I would steal their boyfriends.

For one month I did nothing, besides lying on my bed and crying frantically.

One morning, I got up from my bed and decided I will not live like this. I dressed up, went to the college and ignored the prying eyes on me. I decided to just concentrate on the final exams which were just two months away.
