"I don't want it back. It's yours," he resented.

"No, it's not. I'll hand it over to you tomorrow at the same time, same spot. Now, I need to leave since we are getting late for our class," I uttered and rushed away without even waiting for his reply.

My friends followed me in bewilderment. They did not question me anything since they could sense, that I was not in a disposition to talk. I knew, I had to tell them everything but I needed some solitude currently.

I told them everything, that evening and lied to them that I had no feelings left for Wang.

The next morning, he was already waiting for me at the same location. I told my friends that I needed to meet him alone and they must continue moving towards the college.

"Hi," he said sluggishly. He looked as if he had been weeping all night. I grew worried for him but did not wish to reveal it to him.

"Here is your ring," I said bluntly. He was practically on the verge of crying and so was I. This was getting more difficult for me, than I anticipated.

"I'll drop you to college. You are all alone," he proposed.

"No, I can go alone. I just wanted to request you about not meeting me, that's why I told my friends to leave," I clarified.

"I can drop you. At least allow me to do that much. Trust me, it will only take a minute," he assured me.

I was in a huge dilemma. Was I being to rude to him? I just handed over his mom's ring to him; he must be feeling awful already. Should I say yes? It's just a matter of few seconds. So many thoughts swirled in my head.

"Ok," I nodded.

"Thanks," he said gleefully.

He opened the door for me and I got inside the car. So many memories unveiled before my eyes. Majority of them were spent in this car.

We did not utter a single word to each other. He pressed the breaks near the college gate. The moment I raised my hand to open the car door, he thrust the accelerator. I was taken aback and the car dashed way past the gate.
