Her Ex's Boss

Jade was in the bedroom sitting on the bed on the phone.

"Yea I'm not coming over be able for Thanksgiving."

"Because Jacob and I are going to his family house."

"It's not because of that... I'm just meeting his family."

She sighed.

"I gotta go, mom."

"Ok bye," she said hanging up the phone.

"Who was that?" Jacob asked coming into the bedroom.

"Just my mom.. speaking of moms did you ever call yours," she asked.

Jacob looked at her

"Psst no."

"Why not she seemed nice and probably just wanted to talk to you."

Jacob shook his head.

"I know Darline she's probably just trying to ask for money." He rolled his eyes.

"Have you been going to your therapy sessions?" Jade asked.

"That has nothing to do with it... She may seem nice but can't be trusted, so I don't deal with her."

"You can't just cut off family."

"Yes, I can it's pretty easy... also," he sat on the bed next to her.

"What," she said looking at him.

"I honestly think that's what you should do to with your family... at least for the remainder of your pregnancy," he said placing his hand on her stomach.

She shrugged.

"Yea I know," she said.

Honestly Jade had no issues with her parents just mainly crystal, but since she still lives with their parents, it's easier not to go over.

"I still think you should hear your mom out," she told him.

"Look at you seeing the good in people," he teased.

Even though Jacob teased Jade over her kind heart at times, he wishes he could have one, but for now Jade was the closest he would get.

As they went to sleep that night, she laid her head on his chest.

He looked at her and smiled he finally gotten what he always wanted.

The next day.

"Don't be nervous," he reassured to Jade as he held her hand while they stood in front of his adoptive family house.

As the door opened an older woman with short blond hair answered the door.

"Jacob," she smiled giving him a hug

Then she looked at Jade.

"You must be the Jade I heard so much about you."

"Oh really," Jade said turning to Jacob who was blushing.

"Well let's get inside it's freezing out here," Jacob said as they walked into the house.

Nate was sitting in his car in front of his parent's house he was nervous since he hasn't talked to them since he proposed to Jade. So they probably didn't know about the breakup or the pregnancy.

He sighed then got out of the car and made his way to front door.

He knocked on the door, and his dad answered.

"Hey, son long time no see." His Dad said as he walked inside.

He could smell food cooking in the kitchen.

He made his way to the kitchen where his mom was pulling a turkey out of the oven.

"Hey Mom," he said

Hey, baby, she said putting the turkey down."

"Where's Jade?" she asked

Nate sighed.

"Yea is she at her parents or something?' his dad asked.

"About that, we aren't together anymore." He told them.

His mom looked at him.

"Oh what happened," she asked.

"It's complicated," Nate said not wanting to explain to his parents how he lost the woman he loved.

"Also I'm going to be a dad soon.." he told them.

Should Jacob give his mom another chance?

Jacob finally got what he wanted was it love or possibly something else?
