I told the other team members, on their side their application process was very smooth, I had also finally let out a sigh of relief.

In the evening after the last science exam, Li Ruge dragged me off to go eat hotpot.

Her chopsticks were as quick as flying, scooping out the lamb rolls that had changed colour, her dazzling display of eating amazed me.

In order to participate in the competition, my team and I didn’t even take the break to go home. Instead we spent time in the testing lab writing our report.

Ever since finding out I still was able to smoothly enter the competition, Xue Rong completely let go of all pretences with me, when she sees me she immediately snorts coldly before turning and walking away.

This makes me so happy.

When half the holiday had passed, our team had completed the project, we were only missing the last of the experimental data to come out.

Li Ruge and I organised the data for half the day, and decided to lock up and go eat lunch, as we left we saw Xue Rong.
She and Wang Wei had their heads stuck together whilst intermittently glancing at my direction. When they saw me come out, their expression changed before quickly scurrying back into the room. After being wronged so many times, their strange gazes activated my radar for danger. Thinking back to when my dad did business, when he got home he would talk about the projects which had details stolen, with the reserve prices disclosed.

Keeping this detail in mind, I dragged Li Ruge back into the lab.

Li Ruge followed me in with a face full of confusion: [Ah? What did you forget?]

I didn’t know how to explain, it was just that I had an uncomfortable feeling. To feel more at ease, I put the core data that was packed up and put it into my bag. I put everything in the laboratory back in their place and took a photo.

Li Ruge was speechless, rushing to next doors laboratory to take a look, in a mad voice: [You’re afraid Empress Dowager will do something funny?]

I nodded: [ I keep on feeling that the way she looked at me was odd and it made me feel ill at ease, having a backup is no big deal.]

[What you said is right.] Li Ruge and Xue Rong were paired up for a week, and she personally experienced how good Xue Rong was at causing all kinds of trouble. Hence, she took a few strands of hair from her shoulder to stick inside the data report.

She sighed at the strands of hair: [Ai, my poor hair, hopefully you died for a good cause!]
