Hero's Carnage

When the Earth Hog noticed Lucas and the others, it immediately stopped moving and turned to face them with its sharp tusks pointed at them.

However, it didn't do anything else, and it remained standing there like a statue.

Earth Hogs are naturally proud of their tough armor, so they will most likely let their opponents take the first strike, even letting itself get hit on purpose so it could brag about it afterward.

Moreover, it could somehow tell that Lucas was at a level that could not realistically damage its armor.

This was a huge advantage for Lucas, who was trying to see if he could locate the Earth Hog's weak spot.

However, when he couldn't find the weak spot from his point of view, Lucas decided to make the first move to see if he could find the weak spot elsewhere.

The Earth Hog squinted its tiny eyes when it noticed Lucas move, but it still decided to remain still.

As for Lucas, he danced in circles around the Earth Hog with his Vanishing Steps. He had no intentions to strike until he found the Earth Hog's weak point or until the Earth Hog eventually attacked him.

Of course, after it saw Lucas' movement speed, the Earth Hog became even more reluctant to move, as it realized that it would only waste its energy trying to hit him.

When Lucas realized that the Earth Hog had no intentions to move, he slowed down a little in order to save mana and stamina.

However, even after spending many minutes trying to search for its weak spot, Lucas was unable to see it.

'I can't see its weak spot even though I have looked at pretty much its entire body… Is the weak spot not visible with bare eyes?' Lucas wondered to himself.

After pondering for a bit, Lucas realized that he didn't really see all of the Earth Hog's body.

'It's belly! The weak spot is probably at the bottom, hence why I cannot see it. But how do I get it to flip on its belly?'

Lucas began pondering again.

"What kind of fight is this?" Cherry could no longer bear watching such a boring fight and even yawned.

"It may be boring, but he's not wrong for fighting like that. There's no point confronting the Earth Hog if he cannot even deal damage to it, and he's taking advantage of the Earth Hog's natural arrogance to his fullest extent." Ken said.

Sometime later, Lucas suddenly appeared in front of the Earth Hog before stabbing his sword directly at its eyes.

Even though the Earth Hog had armor protecting its eyes, it subconsciously closed its eyes when it saw the tip of the sword flying at it.

Clang!

Sound of metal colliding resounded the very next second.

The Earth Hog began making angry noises, and it could no longer sit still and started chasing after Lucas relentlessly.

Lucas would purposefully let the Earth Hog get close to him before slipping out of its attack right before he would get hit, which made the Earth Hog's movement a little unstable.

After messing with the Earth Hog in this fashion for a couple of minutes, Lucas suddenly stabbed his sword between the Earth Hog's legs, instantly tripping it.

Once that happened, Lucas focused his gaze on the Earth Hog's stomach, and sure enough, his eyes immediately focused in on this oddly vulnerable spot located at the center of its belly.

This weak spot was actually just a small slit on the Earth Hog's body and wasn't easily detectable with one's bare eyes. If it weren't for Lucas' ability 'Enhanced Senses', he wouldn't have found it so easily.

The second Lucas found the Earth Hog's weak spot, his body instinctively reacted and thrust the sword at it.

The Earth Hog immediately released a blood-curdling cry that sounded like a pig being slaughtered as Lucas continued to shove his sword deeper and deeper into its wound, even turning the sword left and right, almost like he was trying to drill a hole through the Earth Hog.

The screaming stopped a few moments later when the Earth Hog stopped moving and Lucas received a notification.

After killing the Earth Hog, Lucas chugged down a small mana potion before picking up the mana crystal on the ground and putting it away in his bag.

"Look at you. Turns out you can kill an Earth Hog if you tried." Cherry said to him afterward.

"Though it was quite unfortunate that the Earth Hog had its weak spot in such an awkward location since it's rare for their weak spot to be in such a place." Ken laughed a little.

Sure enough, during his next encounter with an Earth Hog, Lucas quickly found its weak spot that was located near the lower part of its rear end.

Once Lucas found its weak spot, he stabbed the sword into it and began drilling away without hesitation.

"Can't he do it more elegantly? I consider myself experienced, yet I am having trouble watching this…" Cherry shivered at the sight of Lucas drilling his sword into the Earth Hog.

"Really? I don't feel anything. Maybe it's because you're associating yourself with them as a fellow pig…" Ken said with a wide smile on his face, looking very proud of his own joke.

"Fuck you, you muscle head. You should stop working out if you want to be with the Team Leader. She doesn't like men with too much muscles, after all."

"The fuck are you talking about, fatso? Women love muscles, especially fierce women like the Team Leader!"

While they argued with each other, Lucas began looking for his next prey.

This continued for the entire day, and after killing 15 Earth Hogs in total, Lucas finally leveled up to 25.

"Key to Another World…?" Lucas suddenly felt something appear in his grasp after leveling up, and when he looked at his hand, a black key had somehow appeared there.
