"Why don't you come closer? I want to drink tea," Bima said, clearing his throat as he tried to hide his awkwardness.

Anya looked at Bima in surprise. She couldn't believe what she heard. Had Bima recognized her as his daughter-in-law?

"Please drink the tea, Father." Anya gave the teacup very politely, using both of her hands.

"Hmm..." Bima muttered incoherently, but immediately drank the tea.

"Grandfather has drunk tea from aunt and acknowledged her as daughter-in-law. Don't you want to give her a wedding gift?" Nico said excitedly.

"Gift?" Bima frowned. The last time he had a daughter-in-law was when Maria became the wife of his first son, Ardan. And it'd been 26 years since then.

"Don't bother!" Anya immediately refused. Getting recognition from Bima alone was the best gift for her.

Maria laughed too and said to Bima, "It has become a tradition in our family. In the past, it was Mother who gave me gifts. But now that Mother is no longer here, this is Father's job,"

"Servant, please bring me my grandfather's checkbook!" Nico said carelessly to the waiter behind them.

Of course Nico thought that money would make the best wedding gift!

He just bought a new car and now he was running low on money. If only he could also get a gift like his aunt…

Bima glared at Nico irritatedly because Nico was talking so carelessly and asked for his checkbook. He really wanted to bite his beloved grandson's head…

After that, he turned to face Anya. "Wait here a moment,"

"Ah?" Anya was confused, but in the end she only nodded obediently.

In truth, she didn't care about any gifts from the Atmajaya Family. Today had been a very happy day for her. She received a recognition from Bima and she was able to call Bima as a father. She was already very grateful.

She just wanted to live happily with Aiden. That's why no gift was more beautiful than the recognition from the Atmajaya Family.

Bima walked to his office. After a while, he came out of there.

When he came out, he carried a jewelry box in his right hand. Bima sat back in his place and put the box on the table.

"Anya, this is for you. I hope you and Aiden have a happy marriage," Bima said awkwardly. It was clear that he was not used to doing things like this.

Anya glanced at Aiden and Aiden only smiled supporting her. Once again, she nodded her head.

Bima opened the jewelry box and showed a bracelet made of a combination of gold and diamonds. Judging from the appearance alone, everyone could tell that the bracelet was very precious.

"Isn't this my mother's bracelet?" Nico recognized the bracelet.

"Your eyesight is good!" Bima praised. "This bracelet and your mother's bracelet are a pair. Before she died, your grandmother said that she prepared these two bracelets for her daughter-in-laws,"

After that, Bima pushed the box towards Anya. "Take it!"

"For me?" Anya did not dare to accept such precious jewelry.

"It is the bracelet that Mother left for her daughter-in-law. You have to accept it and pass it on to your daughter-in-law later," Maria said.

Anya's face immediately turned red. She didn't even have children, so why were they talking about daughter-in-laws?

"Thank you dad!" Anya was really touched. Not because of the price of the jewelry, but because of the meaning and the sentiment behind it.

Afraid that Ivan would feel disappointed, Bima immediately tried to comfort him. "Ivan, when you get married, I will make new jewelry for you,"

Ivan just nodded and smiled. He neither cared nor hurt.

That pair of bracelets indeed became a legacy from the Atmajaya family and eventually passed into Aiden's mother.

Ivan was not the son of Aiden's mother. So, there was no harm in giving this bracelet to Anya, who was Aiden's wife.

"It's rare that we get together today. Before you go home, we have to have dinner together," Bima said.

Ivan had just had surgery and was still recovering so he immediately returned to his room to rest.

Anya took the initiative to help Maria in the kitchen, preparing dinner.

Meanwhile, only Bima, Aiden and Nico were left in the living room.

"Aiden, spend some time playing chess with me," Bima said as he looked at Nico with disgust. "Nico can't play chess. Even though I've taught him many times, he's still stupid,"

Nico scratched his head. "I just don't have time to practice," he avoided. Actually, he was not interested in playing chess. Sometimes, he just played chess to accompany his grandfather.

The last time Aiden played chess with his father was when he was still in elementary school.

Aiden realized that his father was currently trying to make up with him and establish a healthier relationship than before.

Today, Deny came to the Atmajaya family house, but Bima did not mind it and did not blame Anya. He even acknowledged Anya as his daughter-in-law in front of everyone and gave the bracelet inherited from his mother.

For the first time, Aiden felt he could forgive his father for what he had done so far.

He sat at the chess' table, facing his father.

Aiden used white chess pieces, while Bima used black pieces. Nico sat beside them, watching the game from the side.

Usually, it only takes 20 minutes for Bima to beat Nico. It was his longest record…

But he did not expect that his grandfather and uncle would play for so long. He even fell asleep because their game was endless…

Nico said he would watch their play and learn to beat his grandfather. But after a while, he fell asleep instead.

Bima kicked Nico's chair irritably. "Get up! You said you wanted to study. Help count the score!"

"Is it over?" Nico yawned and stared at the chessboard. Before he could collect his soul, he heard Aiden say casually, "I want to eat,"

"Is the food ready?" Nico immediately got excited. "Yay! Let's eat!"

"Not yet. The game isn't over yet!" Bima said reluctantly.

Nico looked at the watch on his wrist and exclaimed, "You've played for more than two hours. Is there still no winner?"

"That's why I told you to count the score..." Bima said, not wanting to lose.

"Don't count. I won," Aiden stood up and walked toward the dining room.

"Grandpa, do I still need to count them?" Nico looked at Bima with puppy eyes, hoping his grandfather would say no and they could eat right away.

"Count it. You have to help me calculate it!" Bima said irritably.

Nico could only be silent. Why should he be a judge in his grandfather and uncle's game now? Just because their game hadn't ended and nobody could win by checkmate, Nico ended up having to be the impromptu judge.

Suddenly, the sound of the bell rang. One of the servants approached the front door and saw Imel through the intercom.

"Sir, Madame Imel is coming," the servant said carefully.

"Who told her to come?" Bima asked coldly.

"Nobody told her. Maybe Mrs. Imel came to visit Mr. Ivan," the servant's voice trembled a little.

It's a family dinner, but Imel just showed up and wanted to throw things off.

Bima thought that his relationship with Aiden had just improved but having Imel here would mess everything. He didn't want Aiden to get angry with him again.

Indeed, Bima didn't like Aiden's bad temper, but Aiden got that temper from him.

"Grandpa, I'll send her home," Nico walked toward the door with a cold expression.

"No need. Keep counting and see who wins, me or your uncle. I will persuade Imel to leave," Bima took a deep breath and walked towards the door.

"Who's coming?" Maria heard the sound of the doorbell. But she did not see anyone entering and instead saw Bima going outside.

The waiter who opened the door looked at Anya and said, "Madame Imel is here. Mr. Bima is worried that Mr. Aiden is uncomfortable with Mrs. Imel's arrival so he wants to ask her to go,"
