"Substitute? Keara, you think too highly of yourself. Who exactly is your replacement?" Ivan said sarcastically.

Keara looked at Ivan in surprise. "What do you mean?"

"Do you think I really want to get engaged to the Pratama Family?" Ivan stared at the ceiling of his room and took a deep breath.

Keara couldn't believe her ears. She opened her eyes wide and asked. "Do you like Anya?"

"I didn't deserve to be with her, so I chose you. Otherwise, do you think I want to be with a cheater like you? You should be grateful to have a face like her," Ivan said coldly.

"Ivan! How dare you make me a substitute for that woman!" When she heard this, Keara felt as if her chest was ripped open. She was about to explode with rage. "I want to cancel my engagement to you!"

"Why?" Ivan asked.

Keara frowned and said angrily, "We don't get along well."

"Why should I agree with you?" Ivan snorted coldly.

"What do you want?" Keara could see that the man she felt was gentle wasn't actually as good as she thought.

"Since you are the one who wants to cancel the engagement, you explain it to our parents. Just tell the truth. You can't forget your love for Aiden. You didn't like me because I was sick, so you wanted to cancel our engagement. If you don't have the courage, even if you are only Anya's substitute, you will continue to be my fiancée even if you don't want to," Ivan's words were full of threats. However, he said it with an emotionless face, as if he did not care about Keara, who was actually his fiancée.

"You bastard! Why should I be a substitute for that woman? I'm not a substitute. Anya is my replacement!" Keara couldn't accept the fact that she was the substitute. All this time, she thought Anya was a substitute for her when she was still missing.

"If thinking like that makes you feel better, you can continue to lie to yourself," Ivan smiled sweetly as he said this.

Keara took a deep breath, pressed the anger against her chest and said coldly, "Ivan, you like Anya and I like Aiden. How about we work together?"

"I have no intention of cooperating with a woman like you. I'm not as selfish as you. As long as Anya is happy, even if it's not with me, I won't destroy her," Ivan said, then he continued, "Let me open your eyes wide. You don't actually love Aiden. You're just mad that Aiden doesn't love you so you don't want to forget him," Ivan's words were really on point.

"You are wrong! Aiden loves me. He couldn't forget me so he married Anya. All because Anya looks like me!" Keara shouted.

Ivan looked at Keara with condescension. He felt that the woman in front of him was really pathetic. Anyone with eyes could clearly see that Aiden loved Anya so much.

Keara was the only person who thought that Aiden loved her and couldn't forget of her.

"Keara, I'll give you three days to think about this matter. Did you know that our relationship saved you from Nadine's troubles? If you are not my fiancée anymore, do you think the Atmajaya Family will spare you?" Ivan closed his eyes and rang the bell beside his bed.

He didn't want to talk to Keara anymore so he called a nurse to help him get rid of her.

The hospital nurse who heard the call went straight into Ivan's room.

Anya immediately pulled Aiden's bodyguard and hid at the end of the corridor, afraid that Keara would see them.

She and the bodyguard stood at the end of the corridor, until the nurse asked Keara to come out of Ivan's room.

After Keara went out from there, Anya looked at the bouquet in her hand doubtfully. She really didn't want to enter the room.

She could hear everything Ivan and Keara were talking about.

She didn't think that Ivan liked her!

So far, Anya only thought of him as an older brother. And all this time, she thought that Ivan only saw her and Raka as his younger siblings. But she did not think that Ivan had such a different feeling to her.

Anya was really embarrassed and didn't know how to deal with Ivan now.

"Madame, do you need my help to send the flowers?" The guard was standing in the same place as Anya so that he could also hear Ivan and Keara's arguing.

"No need. Let me enter myself," Anya took a deep breath and slowly entered the room with a bouquet in her hand.

She knocked gently on the door, "Hello, this is Anya. Can I come in?"

When he heard Anya's voice, Ivan opened his eyes with excitement. He immediately sat on his bed and could not hide his joy, "Anya, come in!"

Anya came into the room with flowers. Seeing Ivan sitting on the hospital bed, Anya immediately said, "You just had surgery. Don't sit like that. Lie down!"

Ivan looked at Anya with a smile and said, "I never thought you would visit me. I'm tired of lying down. Let me sit for a moment,"

Anya hesitated for a moment and then put the flower she had brought on the table. She approached Ivan and stood beside his bed awkwardly, "Brother Ivan, I ..."

"Do you feel awkward thinking of me as your brother-in-law? You can act like before. I'm still the same as the old Ivan you used to know. No matter how much time passes, I will never change," Ivan said.

"I'm married to Aiden. Of course I have to be polite to my brother-in-law," Anya said.

Ivan looked at Anya and his smile looked a little sad. "Are you blaming me?"

"What?" Anya looked at him in confusion.

"You think that your mother's accident was caused by my mother and I didn't stop my mother's madness. If I said that it was an accident, would you believe it?" Ivan stared at Anya.

Anya was stunned for a moment. She did not think that Ivan would suddenly take the initiative to talk about the problem from ten years ago.

Anya pulled out a chair and sat beside Ivan's bed. "More than ten years have passed. It's impossible to find out what really happened at that time. If your mom wants to do anything, she won't tell you. Even if you know, you can't do anything. You are you and your mother is your mother. I don't blame you,"

Ivan didn't say anything. With sadness in his eyes, he asked, "How is your life with Aiden?"

"We are doing fine," Anya said.
