At the beginning, the wolf pup was still defensive towards Eli. As soon as he came close to him, he would bare his teeth at him in a vicious manner.

But a wolf pup’s teeth were seen as no threat at all to Eli, so he would ignore it every time. Then, Eli would hold his jaw with one hand, pull him into his arms and forcefully pat his head.

After a few days of being fed and taken care of, the wolf pup gradually turned docile. He realized that Eli wouldn’t hurt him as he even went as far as treating the injuries he had.

After the wolf pup’s injuries had healed, he continued to be brought around by Eli to rest and recuperate. During this time, Eli had gained his trust and he no longer resisted Eli, letting him pat, rub, hug him however he liked. Sometimes, when it felt too comfortable getting rubbed by Eli, he would even make gurgling sounds in his throat.

Eli did think about sending him back to the werewolf clan. But the barrier set up between the two clans’ territories were impenetrable. At the same time, he couldn’t possibly tell the other vampires or they would set up a capture team to him the wolf pup down, killing him.

How did the wolf pup get here though?

It wasn’t that Eli never thought of asking the wolf pup. But at that time, he had yet to take on human form and Eli couldn’t understand werewolf language either. So he dropped the matter and continued to get along with the wolf pup well.

In the fifth year the wolf pup lived in Eli’s manor, he transformed.

Eli had long known that he wasn’t an ordinary wolf, but a werewolf so he never raised him like a pet, but more as though he was a child.

After the wolf pup transformed, he looked like a ten-year-old human child. Although he transformed, he still couldn’t contract his ears and tail freely, which only appeared extremely cute and endearing to Eli.

Thankfully, he was able to communicate with the wolf pup now.

“E…Li….”

Eli taught him word by word, “Yes, that’s right. Eli.”

Eli also gave him a name, called Daiya. After all, he couldn’t possibly keep on calling him a wolf pup, right?

Eli had lived for more than 500 years. He has had a lot of thrilling, riveting experiences so at one point, he finally looked away from life and returned to his old manor for a comfortable, ‘’retirement’ life.

His daily life consisted of raising furry pets, reading books, growing flowers and the likes. But ever since Daiya appeared, he had a new thing to do: educating a child.

He taught Daiya how to read and write, guiding him on controlling his spiritual powers. He also told Daiya about the hatred between the vampires and werewolves, but also told him that they should advocate for peace and equality instead.

It wasn’t that Eli was proud of himself, but he felt like he was a good teacher especially in passing down morality and humanity. That was why Daiya would listen to him like a good little wolf.

Letting him pet him, stroke his fur, acting cute and lets out cute mewls. Who would refuse such a good little wolf pup? Eli loved him so much.

Seven years passed again and Daiya grew up from a teenager to a young man. Werewolves tend to grow up fast, so the eighteen-year-old Daiya was almost as tall as Eli then.

Even though Daiya had taken human form, he still liked to cling to Eli, following him all day long and calling his name from behind.

Eli, Eli.

Eli never discriminated against Daiya for being a werewolf. He personally took it upon him to take care of Daiya, growing older together with him.

But as he continued to take care of him, he somehow accidentally took care of him until they were in bed.
