His Little Wolf Pup
Chapter 9
A group of werewolves forced their way inside the manor and started conducting their search. They eventually saw their king in the back of the garden but at the same time, they also witnessed a dazzling image that shocked them to their cores.
Their usually formidable, intimidating king was in his werewolf form, getting head rubs from a vampire as his tail wagged back and forth with great glee.
The werewolves’ jaws dropped out of shock. Their king must have been coerced into this! That damn vampire must have threatened their king by pinching at the most vulnerable spot of his – the back of his neck!
However, the next thing they saw was the vampire pointing at something on the table over there. And then their king jumping off the vampire right away, ran to the table and took that thing in his mouth, returned and placed it in the vampire’s hand.
After that, he nudged the vampire’s hand with his head, as if telling him to not stop, to keep on touching him!
Eli felt a little helpless as he said, “While I do like your furry state, you don’t have to keep on staying in your werewolf form.”
Daiya continued to nudge his head against Eli’s palm, “I just like it when you touch me like this!”
Not only were the werewolves frozen in place, but the vampire chief and a group of vampires were also dumbfounded. It was the first time they had seen any vampires and werewolves getting along so well.
“Our king must have been hypnotized by that vampire! Hurry, let’s go!”
While Daiya was happily getting head rubs from Eli, his men suddenly rushed out and pointed their weapons at Eli.
Seeing that unfold, Daiya immediately turned back into his human form and the intimidating, imposing appearance of their king returned.
A trace of coldness flashed across Daiya’s eyes and with a stern voice, he said, “Put your weapons away!”
The werewolves hesitated slightly but still did not put their weapons away. They still believed that Daiya was being threatening by this vampire.
“Our king, we’re here to save you! Please get away from this vampire while you still can!”
Daiya naturally did not listen to what they were saying. Although he did catch sight of a familiar figure.

The vampire chief met Daiya’s cold gaze, which made his heart turn a few degrees colder too.
“It just so happens that the vampire chief is here too. I was about to go meet you to discuss some matters.”
Daiya’s tone sounded calm and flat, almost as if he was talking about something normal. But the vampire chief could feel a strong sense of threat in that tone of his.
“I have observed the current situation in the vampire clan. According to how things are looking now, I believe you do not want to go to war too, right?”
The vampire chief fell silent. He really did not want to start a war now. Not after living in peace over these years, free from war. Their clan had grew tired of conflicts and fights and the majority of the public opinion expressed unwillingness to be involved in wars again.
“The temporary peace treaty between the two clans for five years is about to expire soon. What if I start a war now?
Daiya’s words made the vampire chief’s heart skip a beat. He looked up to meet Daiya’s cold eyes, realizing that Daiya was someone who meant what he said.
""
The werewolves on the other hand, echoed loudly, “We’ll follow you for the rest of our lives!”
The vampire chief tried suggesting a compromise for both parties, “Honestly, I don’t think there’s a need to start a war. Isn’t it better for us to live together in peace?”
Unexpectedly, Daiya agreed immediately. “We can sign a permanent treaty for a peaceful coexistence between the two clans. Promising not to invade each other’s territory nor harm each other’s people.”
The vampire chief was about to nod in agreement, but Daiya continued, “But there are two conditions to signing this treaty. If you don’t agree to them, I won’t be signing it nor will I renew or adhere to the previous temporary peace treaty.”
The vampire chief hesitated for a moment before asking, “What are the two conditions?”
Daiya pretended to think for a bit but during that time, he looked back at Eli behind him and winked at him, signalling for him not to worry.
The werewolves scrambled to share their suggestions, “How about five of their cities?”
“How can five be enough? Ten will do!”
“Fifteen!”
But surprisingly, Daiya did give it a bit more thought before proposing the two final conditions. It wasn’t five of their cities nor ten.
“First condition. Rectify the third rule in the vampire clan’s commandment – stop hunting and killing our people and allow the two clans to have peaceful exchanges.”
The vampire chief thought about it. That sounded doable, so he nodded, “Alright.”
After all, he really wanted to sign the permanent peace treaty with the werewolf clan. And if there is peace, he wouldn’t hunt or kill the werewolves like they did before. Exchange wise…If it’s for peace, then there shouldn’t be any downside.
“The second condition. Abolish the sixth commandment of the vampire clan.”
The vampire chief was shocked, “What?! Can we change it to another?”
Daiya snorted coldly, “There’s no more room for negotiation.”
“King, what is the sixth commandment of the vampire clan? Why do you want to abolish it?”
The werewolves were puzzled by the two conditions Daiya chose, since they were both about the vampire clan’s commandments. Isn’t it better to ask for more cities or lands? They couldn’t figure out what their own king was thinking.
Daiya’s resolute attitude caused the vampire chief to be silent for a long time.
In the end, he finally looked at Daiya and Eli, who was being protected behind Daiya. He thought long and hard about what he saw earlier – how they treated each other. Then, he thought about his people who longed for peace.
The vampire chief heaved a sigh and finally agreed.
“Alright. I’ll order the abolition of this commandment. From now on, intermarriage between the two clans will no longer be restricted.”
Having received the affirmative reply from the vampire chief, Daiya’s tone immediately changed from serious to somewhat happy, “Then, we can sign the permanent peace treaty now.”
Before the werewolves could fully comprehend why Daiya had wanted to abolish this commandment, they heard him say, “In order to truly pave the road to peace between the two clans, I’ve decided to be the first to set an example.”
""
The vampire chief rubbed his temple, already knowing what Daiya was about to say next.
Daiya turned to Eli, took his hand and then raised their intertwined hands to the crowd and solemnly announced, “I’m marrying Eli.”
The hearts of all the werewolves and vampires right there right then went: “?!”
