Freya did not know what to say. She lowered her head before she raised it again and asked rhetorically, “Why do you keep thinking so poorly of me?”

Gideon said in utter disdain, “You married into the family for money. Do you think you are some saint?”

Freya instantly looked flustered when she saw him undressing. “What are you doing?”

“Nope, definitely not!” she answered hurriedly.

She added, “I went to the old folks’ home today and got kicked out halfway in the middle of nowhere on the way back. After Ashley came over to pick me up, we went out all day. Then, I came over and had such a serious dinner. I am really exhausted.”

Freya hurriedly waved her hands. “That was not what I meant. I mean I want to sleep too.”

Freya secretly glanced over and noticed the man had already laid down in bed with his back facing her.

“You can have one-third of the bed. You are not allowed to touch me while you sleep.”

Freya yawned and got up to enter the bathroom.

After quickly bathing, she realized she had left her pajamas outside!

Freya sighed. Then, she walked out of the bathroom furtively wrapped only in her bathrobe.

Freya thought about her naked body under the bathrobe and how she was going to sleep on the same bed as Gideon, so she could not help blushing.

After lying down on her half of the bed, she exhaled and promptly felt exhausted. She did not have the energy to keep thinking and quickly closed her eyes to sleep.

Gideon was accustomed to sleeping by himself. When he suddenly smelled the woman’s freshly showered scent, he automatically frowned.

Gideon and Ethan chatted a little, so Freya finally had the opportunity to speak to Rebecca.

“Soon.”

Freya felt nervous. Was he really coming back soon?
