Carol came over after Freya sat down in the office.
“Ereya…”

Freya turned to look at her. “Yes?”

“Where did you go with your bag halfway through work yesterday?”

Freya was organizing some paperwork when her hands paused. She smiled and said, “I… I went to visit my grandmother.”
“Did you know? After you left yesterday, so did Mr. Carter.”

Freya frowned. She looked at Carol curiously. Carol’s eyes were glinting with excitement from the gossip.

Freya shook her head. “I…”

Carol scrutinized her quizzically. “Don’t you know?”

“Erm…”

Carol happily gossiped. “Someone saw you boarding Mr. Carter’s car in the underground parking lot.”

Freya raised her head to look at Carol and said, “Stop being nosy. Get back to work…”

Carol came over to Freya’s ear and continued speaking, “Everyone is saying Mr. Carter wants to date you.”

Freya frowned. Gideon Carter? Date her?

Oh please. He would kill her if anything!

Freya glanced around at her other colleagues. She was surprised to see many people looking in their direction.

She hurriedly changed the subject. “Carol, I didn’t manage to finish my work yesterday, so I have to get to it ASAP. Aren’t you expecting payment from a client? It is already the end of the month. If you really want your bonus this month, aren’t you counting on the client?”
‘The moment Freya brought this up, Carol suddenly recalled the matter and anxiously said, “You are right.”

She returned back to her seat and started to contact her client.

After Carol left, the other colleagues stopped looking at her.

Awoman called Jennifer Martin sat behind her. Freya failed to notice there was something different about the way her colleague sitting behind her looked at her.

Later in the afternoon, in front of a posh restaurant.
Ashley pulled Freya towards the door and pointed at a table. “See? That’s the guy. I will sit behind you later. That way, I can see how he looks.”

Freya glanced and commented, “From behind, he certainly looks handsome.”

Ashley smiled. “Go on then.”

Freya tumed to glance at her with a look of disdain before she headed into the restaurant.

Ashley followed behind her.

The man sitting at the dining table was reading some finance papers, when he sensed someone stopping beside him. He put down his paper and raised his head.

In an instant, Freya suddenly thought about Gideon.

Gideon had a mature aura, while the man in front of her felt more refined. He had kind eyes and his smile did not seem frivolous at all. Every word he uttered sounded polite.
“Are you Ms. Taylor?”

Freya finally nodded after hearing his nice voice. “Uh huh. That’s me.”

“Tam Kieran Anderson. I went abroad to work a few years ago and just returned home recently.”

Freya reached her hand out and smiled. “How do you do Mr. Anderson?

Kieran reached his hand out and shook hers politely. “Ms. Taylor, please have a seat.”

Shortly after Freya sat down, Ashley could not resist looking over from behind her.

Kieran smiled subtly.

A waiter came over to the table. The man handed the menu to Freya and invited her to order.

Freya did not turn down the offer. She ordered a few dishes before handing the menu back to the waiter.

After the waiter left, the atmosphere went quiet for a few seconds.

Freya suddenly heard Ashley softly clearing her throat behind her.

She instinctively raised her head to look at Kieran. She smiled as she spoke, “Mr.. Anderson, how many times have you gone on matchmaking dates?”
