Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 106 Two selfless people

The punishment of confinement for Hermione and others was to add an old man who is over a hundred years old.

"Faster, Hermione, you can do that."

The old man said softly, standing in front of her with a magic instrument like a pocket watch in his hand - the pocket watch was a little rough, probably made on a temporary basis, but the hands on it were as thin as a hairspring and very delicate.

Voldemort followed beside him, holding a notebook in his hand, carefully recording every change on the pocket watch.

Hermione was a little nervous and a little excited, but she calmed down and began to use the spell with faster words and frequency: "Repair it as before."

The hands on the pocket watch immediately trembled rapidly, and Voldemort immediately began to record, writing down what he saw in his notebook all the time.

"When recording, it must be fast enough, Percy, and it must be accurate enough." Voldemort said to Percy who was standing aside.

The experiment requires more people, and Voldemort and Dumbledore are not enough, so Percy is included in the investigation. So far, it seems that he has done well, and it is very likely that he will be the final candidate.

"Well done, Hermione, the spell is perfect." Dumbledore looked away from the pocket watch and looked at Hermione. "If it can be done faster, I can grant one of your wishes, child."

Hermione's cheeks turned red with excitement, and several other children watching looked envious, but could only sigh helplessly - none of them could cast spells as quickly as Hermione.

As for the older twin brothers and prefects...

Voldemort and Dumbledore need the data of those with low magic power. Those with high magic power can do it on their own without any help at all.

"Repaired as before." Hermione immediately stopped after casting the magic, "Sorry, Principal, it's not fast enough. Wait for me to prepare."

Dumbledore nodded and looked at Voldemort with a question in his eyes - is it okay to come here?

"Limit, Principal, the closer the data is to the limit, the more valuable it is." Voldemort said.

Dumbledore nodded and looked at Hermione, waiting for her to use magic again.

"Okay, Headmaster." Hermione took a deep breath, glanced at Voldemort again, then waved her wand, "Recover as before."

Dumbledore pressed the pocket watch in time, while Voldemort watched the swing of the hands on it with wide eyes.

"It's faster than last time, but it's limited. I don't know if it's the limit." Voldemort said while recording the data.

"Headmaster, can I tell you my wish?" Little Hermione asked Dumbledore immediately regardless of that.

"you say."

"I want to join your research team."

His words stunned everyone. Voldemort stopped recording and looked up at her in surprise - You are a first-year student, what's the use of coming in?

As if feeling Voldemort's doubts, Hermione puffed up her chest and said, "I will also record this. I understood it just now when you told Senior Percy."

Voldemort looked at the notebook in his hand, then at Percy, without saying a word.

"Moreover, two people recording can also verify right and wrong, so that one person can record and not know if there is an error." Hermione once again found a reason for her to join.

"The first one doesn't matter, but the second one..." Dumbledore looked at Voldemort, "I think she is right."

Voldemort shrugged and said he didn't care, it was up to the old bee.

"In view of your excellent grades, okay, but you can't delay your studies." Dumbledore said.

Hermione nodded happily, while the other students on the side looked disappointed.

"Okay, that's it for today, see you tomorrow night." Dumbledore waved his hand.

"Wait a minute." Voldemort stopped everyone, "The confinement time is up. If anyone wants to withdraw..."

No one quit, Voldemort asked a question that made no sense, but it was his duty, who made him a professor.

"Is this the lowest point of detected frequency?" Dumbledore asked.

"If you exclude students who have just entered the school, or those children who have the potential to become wizards who cannot enter the school at all, I think the low level is enough." Voldemort said.

"You can't lower the standard to babies, that's it." Dumbledore shrugged, then moved his body and said, "A drink?"

Voldemort nodded. He was really tired these past few days. He might as well have a drink to relieve his fatigue.

"Go to Hagrid, he always brings happiness to people." Dumbledore winked and said, "The last time I went to his place for a drink was three years ago."

Voldemort naturally would not refuse, he and Hagrid got along very well.

So the two of them walked out of the castle side by side and headed towards Hagrid's courtyard next to the Forbidden Forest.

The students along the way kept saying hello, but there was no surprise in their eyes. They were used to the principal and Professor Quirrell walking together. It was said that the two had been doing profound magic research for some time.

Hagrid was both surprised and happy at the sudden visit from Voldemort and Dumbledore.

"Principal, you haven't come to my place for a drink in three years." Hagrid poured wine for the two of them excitedly and complained at the same time, "Quirrell, you haven't come here since the last time you got drunk."

"I've been busy recently." Voldemort saw that the principal just smiled and said nothing, so he shrugged and replied.

"I heard that you are studying magic with the principal. Quirrell, you are a genius. I have known it for a long time." He laughed and slapped Voldemort on the back. Voldemort felt that his soul was about to be squeezed out by him.

"It's the Headmaster who guides me, Hagrid. It's all the Headmaster's credit." Voldemort had no intention of claiming credit.

"You were the one who started the research, and my suggestions during the research are no more than yours. Quirrell, don't be too humble." Dumbledore said, raising his glass.

Voldemort smiled and said nothing. He raised his glass and bumped it together with Hagrid. His fishbowl-sized glass was so impressive.

"Cheers." Hagrid said excitedly.

Voldemort drank the wine from his glass neatly, as did Hagrid and Dumbledore - Dumbledore's glass was only the size of a baby's fist.

"Hagrid, have you ever experienced magic explosions when you used magic?" Voldemort asked, putting down his cup.

Magic explosion refers to a long-term burst of magic power. It is not common, but every wizard will encounter it several times in his life.

"Never, only when it weakens." Hagrid answered nonchalantly while pouring wine.

In addition to being a wizard, he is also a giant. Using magic spells is not his only way of fighting. His fists can conquer most of the enemies he sees.

"Perhaps the magic of different species also behaves differently on the compound sine wave." Voldemort's eyes lit up.

"It's worth trying." Dumbledore nodded immediately.

Then the two of them looked at Hagrid, who moved unnaturally and asked, "What are you going to do?"

"Repairing spell, do you know Hagrid?" Voldemort asked as he stood up and picked up his notebook.

"Of course he can, I am his teacher." Dumbledore took out his pocket watch and said immediately, "Use the repair spell, kid, you can do it."

"But...well...aren't we drinking?" Hagrid asked doubtfully.

"No, that's not important. The research time is up. Hagrid, please cooperate with us." Voldemort raised the notebook in his hand and said seriously.

Dumbledore nodded aside and raised the pocket watch in his hand: "Let's get started, Hagrid, don't waste time."

So, a good drinking party ended like this.
