Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 154 Professor McGonagall’s Home Visit

The Grangers were no strangers to Professor McGonagall, after all, she had visited once last summer.

But her arrival this time still surprised the Granger family - at least that's what it seemed.

"What's the matter?" Mr. Granger said, "We didn't expect you to come."

There was no change in Professor McGonagall's serious face. She first turned to look at Hermione, and then looked at Mr. Granger.

"We received a letter from Miss Granger applying for a transfer. We are a little confused about her going to Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a year. We would like to ask what prompted her to do this." Professor McGonagall said seriously. asked.

"Eat some kiwi fruit, Professor McGonagall. It's very fresh." Mrs. Granger said as she came over with the fruit.

"Thank you." Professor McGonagall glanced at the kiwi fruit, but had no intention of eating it.

"Um... I didn't expect to disturb you." Mr. Granger said with some surprise.

He turned to look at Hermione, and when he looked back, he looked like he didn't know where to start.

"Originally, the principal was here." Professor McGonagall forced a smile and said, "But something happened to Harry, so I'm here to ask..."

"What happened to Harry?" Hermione asked in surprise, even interrupting Professor McGonagall.

"He used magic at home and was discovered by the Ministry of Magic, but he said it was not his doing and Principal Dumbledore believed him."

Professor McGonagall gave Hermione a relieved smile and said, "Don't worry, Hermione, Principal Dumbledore will take care of everything."

Hermione nodded worriedly, which even made her want to speak and retract her previous letter.

But Mr. Granger did not give her a chance. He asked before his daughter: "Is the Ministry of Magic so strict? Professor, I think a wizard who has only learned magic for one year should not have any destructive power, right?"

"It has nothing to do with destructive power, Mr. Granger. This is a regulation of the Ministry of Magic. According to the Reasonable Restraint of Minor Wizards Act, 1875, Section 3, he deserves to be punished like this." McGonagall The professor said seriously.

"But you just said he would be fine, right, Professor?" Hermione asked worriedly.

"Yes, Hermione, don't worry, using the flashback spell on the wand can force it to reveal the magic it used before."

Professor McGonagall said calmly, "Harry didn't do anything, so his wand can prove his innocence."

Hermione nodded, but it was easy to see from her eyebrows that she was still a little worried about Harry.

But Professor McGonagall no longer wanted to dwell on this issue. She looked at Mr. Granger and said, "Let's go back to the question just now. Mr. Granger, is there any reason why Hermione transferred to another school?"

"Because of our work, Professor McGonagall," Mr. Granger explained, "We are going to work in France for a year. She transferred to another school so that we can spend Christmas together in France."

"If that's the case." Professor McGonagall frowned, "It won't hinder your holiday at Hogwarts, Mr. Granger. The transportation is very convenient."

"We understand that we just want to spend more time with our children, even if it's just for a few more days."

Mrs. Granger said, "You know, Hermione started living on campus when she was eleven years old. This has reduced our time together a lot, so... we miss her very much."

Professor McGonagall smiled at her and said that she understood her mood, but it was obvious that she had no intention of giving up persuasion.

"The education method at Hogwarts is different from Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The course content, teaching pace, and teaching methods are also different, so..."

Professor McGonagall frowned and said, "Considering Miss Granger's studies, I think it would be better for her to go to Hogwarts. It's really not possible..."

"We have given it serious thought, Professor McGonagall."

Mr. Granger interrupted her and said firmly, "We cannot tolerate Hermione being away from us. Professor, please allow us to love our children in our own way."

Professor McGonagall was stunned by what Mr. Granger said. She hesitated again and again, and finally stopped trying to persuade him.

"Well, I hope Hermione has a happy year in the Pyrenees."

Professor McGonagall gave up the persuasion and took out the letter she had already prepared from her arms - she had obviously made two preparations.

"Thank you for your support, Professor McGonagall, please have some kiwi fruit, it's really delicious." Mrs. Granger persuaded.

Professor McGonagall shook her head and said no need, then called Hermione to her side and gave many instructions in a low voice.

During this period, Hermione looked at her father several times, hoping that he would change his mind, but Mr. Granger had obviously made up his mind...

He decisively rejected his daughter's request.

"It's good to spend more time with your parents, Hermione. Wizards usually have longer lifespans. When you are old, if you want to accompany them again, you can only stay in the pensieve."

McGonagall finally comforted her outstanding student like this, and then said goodbye to the Granger family and left.

"Why do you do this, Dad, I don't know what you mean." Hermione said angrily, "I want to be with my friends."

"I have necessary reasons, Hermione."

Mr. Granger was not angry. He just said softly, "Just this time, okay, Hermione. From now on until graduation, dad will not make any other requests, okay?"

Mrs. Granger also came over, hugged her daughter and said, "You know how much your father loves you, right? Hermione, just listen to him, okay?"

After being persuaded by his parents, Granger could only nod in pain and agree to their request.

"I'm going to write another letter to Harry to ask about his situation." Hermione left her mother's arms and ran upstairs while saying, "He didn't reply to my letter all summer."

The Grangers watched their daughter run into the room, and they both let out a sigh of relief and sat on the sofa.

"I still don't understand why you did this, Wendell, it hurt Hermione a lot," Mrs. Granger said.

Mr. Granger shook his head helplessly and said, "If I say that I don't know the specific reason, would you believe it?"

Mrs. Granger was stunned. She obviously didn't expect her husband to answer her like this.

"Then... why..." She didn't know what to say for a moment.

"Because I am protecting Hermione, Monica. Although I don't know what will happen specifically, I am sure that danger will come. Someone told me that the news was revealed." Mr. Granger said.

"Who said that?" asked Mrs. Granger.

"I can't say," Mr. Granger was tight-lipped, "but he said that after this term, Hogwarts will be very safe."

"I hope so." Mrs. Granger said with some annoyance, "Maybe it would be better not to have any talent. With Hermione's intelligence, even an ordinary person can live a good life."

Mr. Granger hugged his wife into his arms and said with relief: "There's nothing to worry about, Monica. I understand the world and it's not too bad."

"Really?" Mrs. Granger raised her head and looked at her husband. He was showing a familiar smile that gave her a sense of security.

"Really, I've experienced the worst," Mr. Granger said. "In fact, when we went to Diagon Alley that day, we saw a dragon..."

Mr. Granger hugged his wife and slowly told about his wonderful journey.

Unconsciously, it was getting late, and Mr. Granger picked up his wife and walked to the bedroom.
