Hogwarts: I can inherit the legacy of the dead
Chapter 20 Escape
The arc moon was hidden behind the towering tower, as if a huge golden ship was leaning against the tower.
The moonlight in the middle of the night was like golden sand, shining through the clouds and falling on the earth.
Chirp.
A mouse looked up at the sky, and suddenly a black shadow flew by, blocking a corner of the moon.
The black shadow swooped down from the sky, and the falling shadow became larger and larger, as if a huge monster fell.
The mouse was completely shrouded by the shadow, and a trace of panic flashed in his eyes. He shouted anxiously, and was scared to get into the cave in the corner and fled in panic.
"It turned out to be a mouse."
Meka Anders remained in the form of a bat, hanging on the ceiling.
Its dark eyes stared at the mouse that rushed into the darkness, then flapped its wings, found a direction, and flew through the window next to it.
On the glass of the window, a black figure walked back and forth, as if the paper-cut had come to life and had grown legs.
"Hey, is there someone?"
Meka Anders noticed the figure on the window, thought for a moment, and flew back.
The wings stopped flapping, and it quietly hung on the wall outside the corridor.
"It's time to act, Quirinus Quirrell."
A hoarse voice came from the window, like a thirsty desert traveler, but with a hint of rejection.
The figure on the window stopped, and he made a slightly sharp sound and whispered:
"Master, Snape is still staring at me."
"He's gone." The hoarse voice replied, "I can feel it."
There is only one shadow on the window, but there are always two voices talking.
The figure stood there, his feet motionless, but he always turned his head.
"Master, your body hasn't recovered yet." The sharp voice said, "You know, Snape is much more capable than me. If he wants to tease me, it's just like a cat playing with a mouse."
The hoarse voice responded: "Quirrell, I know Snape better than you. Go, find the stone while no one is disturbing you."
"But." The sharp voice hesitated.
The hoarse voice suddenly became cold: "Are you disobeying my orders, Quirrell."
The neck of the figure on the window turned abnormally, like an unbalanced puppet, his head turned almost 180 degrees, as if he wanted to turn his face to his back.
The sharp voice screamed, like a tortured cat, but the cry was quickly covered by his own hands, and he could only make a whimpering sound.
"I know I was wrong, Master, I'll go now." The sharp voice begged, "I'll go now."
The head of the figure in the window turned back to normal, and he twisted his neck, as if he was massaging, or correcting the bones.
The sharp voice stopped whining, and it seemed that it would no longer scream.
The hoarse voice hummed: "Go, I'll watch you."
The sharp voice took a deep breath: "That three-headed dog..."
"Find a way to get around it." The hoarse voice was a little impatient.
The sharp voice was respectful: "I know, master."
The shadow on the window walked to the corner, and only heard a click. He opened the door and walked out.
The sound in the house disappeared.
But the footsteps became clearer, and a figure left along the corridor, and the figure became smaller and smaller.
In the bat's tiny eyes, the figure that gradually turned into a black dot was reflected.
"It turned out to be Professor Quirrell."
Meka Anders's pounding heart finally calmed down.
He was a little unconfident when he used Animagus for the first time. The abnormal shadow in the window made him a little nervous because the object of his peeping was an existence that he could not resist.
"He seems to be going to the three-headed dog now. Do you want to follow him?"
Meka Anders thought for a while and spread his wings.
He gritted his teeth inwardly:
"I'll go."
"Hogwarts is so big. If I were to look for it by myself, I'm afraid I might never find it."
"And haven't I been discovered yet? If I keep looking back, how can I become an outstanding wizard?"
The black bat flapped its wings, and it leaped into the sky like a black shadow, chasing the figure that was going away.
...
Knock, knock, knock.
On a quiet night, the sound of leather boots, even if it was suppressed, was as crisp as water drops falling into a pit in a cave.
A figure in a dark gray robe stood in front of the criss-crossing stairs that seemed to extend to the sky, looking at the maze-like space in front of him, and was about to climb the stairs.
"Dumbledore has a clever mind."
The figure didn't speak, but a hoarse voice came out: "The direction of this staircase has changed in many ways, and it is a little different from the previous few days."
He said: "Don't take this staircase, take the third staircase on the right."
The figure looked at the staircase in the distance, and the fire on the wall illuminated his face.
Professor Quirrell's face was uncertain in the firelight.
He did not refute, but did what the hoarse voice said and walked up the stairs.
Click.
Like the meshing of gears, the stairs suddenly broke away from their original trajectory and redistributed in a dazzling manner.
When the sound stopped, the stairs under Professor Quirrell's feet had extended to a resting platform in the air, and the platform was connected to three new stairs.
"The one on the left."
The stairs turned again.
"The right."
The voice sounded again.
"This time it's the right one."
"Left."
"Go straight."
After walking countless stairs, Professor Quirrell was finally led to a dark corridor by the spiral staircase.
"I can already smell the scent of the three-headed dog."
Professor Quirrell said gloomily, without any of his usual stuttering.
He said "hmm" in a hoarse voice, "Go inside."
Professor Quirrell then walked into the darkness.
A black bat flew over from the way Professor Quirrell came.
Meka Anders heard the crisp footsteps coming from the corridor, and was about to follow, when he suddenly felt a strong threat.
A faint smell filled the air.
It was like encountering the territory of a ferocious beast in the jungle. Meka Anders' hair stood up and his heartbeat quickened.
"Is this the three-headed dog of hell?"
Meka Anders paused for a moment to calm himself down.
Then he followed as slowly as possible, flapping his wings but making no sound.
...
After walking around, Professor Quirrell stopped in front of an old door. The door lock was rusty and there was a copper handle on it.
"Master."
Professor Quirrell said in a deep voice: "Other roads here have been blocked. It should be Dumbledore who did it. Only this door can be entered."
The hoarse voice sneered: "Dumbledore is still strong and vigorous. He is so old and still energetic."
He calmed down and ordered: "Although the three-headed dog is powerful, it is naturally sleepy. You can find the passage inside while it is asleep."
The hoarse voice took a deep breath and made a sound of enjoyment: "I can feel that the stone is nearby."
"Go, find the stone, my servant."
"Yes."
Professor Quirrell took out the wand from his arms and pointed it at the door lock. A flash of white light flashed, and with a click, a crisp sound came from the keyhole, and the door opened at once.
He pushed the door open and walked in.
A black shadow flew slowly and hung upside down on the ceiling.
"The threat is getting stronger and stronger."
Meka heard the footsteps getting farther away, and fluttered through the crack of the door.
Inside the door was an abandoned classroom, very empty, with rusty tables and chairs placed in the corner.
But the space seemed to be stretched, and the end of the classroom could not be seen at a glance, and it was already hidden in the darkness.
"It's a little different from what I imagined. I thought it was a very small space. As soon as I entered, I could see the huge head of the three-headed dog."
Meka Anders flew inside, and just as he saw Professor Quirrell's figure, he saw him running towards him in a panic.
"Roar!!"
The huge beast roar was deafening, as if it was going to shake the ceiling off!
The huge eyes like bronze bells appeared in the darkness, bloodthirsty and crazy.
Without thinking, Meka turned around and ran away.
