Hold My Hand, Don't Let Me Go

13 The moment his hands touched hers

"Samantha! What do you think you're doing?!!" Jonathan madly told her off, but Samantha didn't (or more like) couldn't respond. Her eyes are just glued to Jonathan who keeps his ferocious look on her.

"You told me that if I marry you, you'll leave Yasmin alone! Then what are these lies?! Why do you keep doing these?!" Jonathan continuously flares up at the frozen Samantha.

"I…I…I don't… I don't understand" She replied while stuttering, her heart pounding fast.

('First of all, oh my God how can such a good-looking man exist?' Samantha thought.

'Even though he looks so scarily mad, that dangerous look in his eyes is still so pleasing.')

("…" – me)

"Stop playing a fool. I already know your real personality. You're a manipulative lad who does everything to gets what she wants." Jonathan fires at Samantha while one of his fingers is accusingly pointed at her. His words making her heart hurt.

"Wait a minute, I know I've been a bitch these past few months but this time I really didn't do anything!" she replied, trying to clear her name. But Jonathan slams an article from his phone right in front of her eyes. The caption, boldly showing Yasmin's information and pictures, each word painting her as a conniving mistress.

Samantha grew alarmed. She really didn't do anything, but the thing that's supposed to happen in the novel still happens.

"I… I really didn't do this." She once again said, but Jonathan isn't buying her excuse.

"I really can't believe you can be this evil" He chuckles in contempt "I really hate you." Jonathan said before he throws his phone on the wall that's only a hair's width away from Samantha, making her startle in fear.

He then, turns his back. Leaving in rage as Samantha watches. But suddenly, three images of Jonathan leaving flashes in her eyes.

The first one was when they first met after she returns, the second one was at her welcoming party and the third one was at their wedding. Seeing him leaving her once again, unconsciously made her heart ache.

The pain in her heart is something she has never felt before. It was as if someone was squeezing her dry and stabbing her at the same time. This phenomenon made her breathing scarce; she tried gasping for air, but it instead made her weak. Her knees stumbles and trembles as it falls down the floor, unable to keep her standing anymore.

Her immediate fall made her knocked on the fragile clock on the table. Shattering the obviously expensive antique.

"Jo...Jo...Jo...Nathan" She tried calling for him in between her tears. "he…he…lp"

"Samantha, this act of yours isn't going to make me st--" his words were cut off when Jonathan looked back and saw Samantha frantically gasping for air as her hands are tightly holding onto the heart area of her chest.

"He-hey! Th-This isn't funny!! Stop!" Jonathan once again called out.

Samantha then raises her tears stained face as she weakly tries to reach out her right hand to Jonathan

"he…hel…p"

Seeing how serious her situation is, Jonathan immediately turns back and grabs her reached out hands. Just a few seconds and he's already at her side, coaxing her and rubbing her back to make her pain ease a little.

Strangely enough, the moment his hands touched hers, the pain in her heart stops.
