I stabbed Lavigne.

‘Did I kill someone? No way…?’

My hands trembled.

“Leticia!”

Jade was the first to move. He jumped onto the stage and hugged me. The approaching guards flinched.

“It is an accident.”

Jade said while looking at the man Angel had previously named king. The king’s face was blue.

“I didn’t do it!”

I shouted at the top of my lungs.

“The knife was changed!”

“This is an assassination attempt on a member of the royal family!”

Someone yelled, a scream that tore at my eardrums. People were shouting from all directions and my head throbbed. My stomach felt queasy.

Collen stood up from his seat and blocked Jade and me.

“No one touches my daughter.”

A black snake appeared around Collen. It was Collen’s black magic.

“Dark…!”

A child who had been standing on the stage began to cry uncontrollably.

At that moment, one child stepped back and accidentally knocked over a candelabrum on the stage. The candlestick rolled off and fell to the ground.

“Fire!”

It was an unbelievable sight. The flames quickly spread from the candelabrum to the curtain, which was made of wood, and the fire began to spread throughout the room.

‘No! The stage equipment is made of wood.’

The smell of burning wood began to fill the air, and I coughed as the smoke stung my throat.

“Help me!”

People who had been waiting behind the stage poured out. The maids also ran towards the audience.

“Fire is on my body!”

I raised my trembling eyes. It was Angel.

Someone took off Angel’s burning dress. It was the head maid Claire. Despite that Claire shook and shivered, she was amazing as she grabbed and pulled off Angel’s dress.

The children’s screams were the loudest.

Because of the wooden stage that started burning with caustic air and cracking sounds, the room quickly turned into a sea of flames.

Mira took the hand of a child and led them away.

Everyone ran away in a panic.

Some parents climbed on stage and carried their children while pushing and shoving, while others left their children behind and ran away.

“Lavigne, no. Lavigne!”

The fire quickly spread to where Lavigne was lying in bed.

The place where Lavigne lay was not a real bed. The wooden model bed was quickly engulfed in flames.

Then the curtain from the ceiling fell onto the bed. Lavigne’s body disappeared into the flames.

Knights flocked to the queen and king wearing armor. Some people were pushed away by the knights.

But there was a bigger problem.

“The door won’t open!”

The door was tightly closed.

Due to the air, the tightly closed door wouldn’t open. It was cruel.

Are we all going to die like this? The intense heat made my head ache.

At that moment, I remembered a fantasy that I saw when Collen stroked my head.

I looked at my trembling hand.

The wall in front of me. A tightly packed, giant portrait hung on the wall.

Could there really be a secret passage behind that wall?

‘I’m sure in the vision, there was a door to a secret passage behind the painting in the center of the end wall of the room.’

The painting in the center. It was a portrait of a woman in a white dress. I turned to Collen.

“Dad! I hear the sound of wind over there!”

It was real. Smoke was flowing in that direction.

“We need to break that portrait! The one of the woman in the white dress!”

“Everyone, move away from the wall!”

Collen pushed through the crowd while holding me. Jade followed. Then Kalen snapped his fingers and summoned a snake.

‘Huh…? I can breathe again.’

A black snake. As soon as COllen’s familiar appeared, the air around me became more comfortable.

Collen gestured, and the portrait was split in half.

Then it fell to the ground, revealing a hidden entrance.

“Everyone, let’s go through this passage!”

I shouted loudly.

“It’s a secret passage!”

Instantly, hope appeared in the eyes of the people.

“How did you even know about this?”

Someone asked in amazement.

But there was no more time for talking.

Everyone rushed through the dark and dirty passage.
