How to Be a Dark Hero’s Daughter
Chapter 72.2
That’s right, the Blue Tears of the Goddess wasn’t a sapphire or a blue diamond.
The Blue Tears of the Goddess was a cameo.
A cameo is a decorative item mainly used as a necklace or a brooch. It has a round, elongated oval shape, often featuring a carved profile of a woman’s face.
‘They are usually made of shells or mother-of-pearl, right?’
That’s another piece of knowledge from my past life’s books.
The cameo in my hand depicted the face of a weeping goddess carved into it.
‘And Countess Bartoli wore such a brooch on her chest!’
I turned the cameo over.
“It’s a blue gem.”
The back of the cameo was filled with a vibrant blue gem.
“A blue diamond, huh.”
Kien furrowed his brow in a strange manner.
“Is this what you’ve been looking for?”
I extended the cameo toward him. Kien approached.
“Come here, kid.”
I hesitated and stepped back.
“I’m scared, so come here and get it.”
As I moved, the water made a splashing sound.
“Don’t play around. I don’t want to hurt you,” Kien said.
I nodded my head.
“I’ll give it to you. Come here.”
I nodded. Kien approached me. His sword was still sheathed at his waist.
That was the moment. I threw the ‘Blue Tears of the Goddess’ at Kien.
“Oops!”
It hit Kien in the face.
“You brat!”
Kien growled. But once again, I was faster.
I took out the revolver from my teddy bear bag. And I aimed it directly at Kien.
“Don’t move.”
The blue target landed on Kien’s shoulder. Good, now all I had to do was pull the trigger.
“Did you think I would listen to such words? Pathetic little brat.”
“No.”
Click. I immediately pulled the trigger.
“You look like someone who doesn’t listen to reason. Even more than me.”
Bang.
The sound of a gunshot echoed as Kien fell backward.
Thud!
Another sound followed.
“So, there’s no other choice. You won’t be able to move for an hour.”
I lowered the gun and spoke.
At the same time, Siebel pulled out a dagger from his embrace and attacked the enemy in front of him.
‘Do people usually carry around things like that?’
It was the moment I absentmindedly had that thought.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
The ground began to shake.
I lost my balance and fell to the ground. As I rubbed my head, my eyes filled with astonishment.
The water from the fountain was shooting up into the sky. And the ceiling opened up.
The glass ceiling flew away in an instant. The walls creaked, and the glass shattered. And all the doors flung wide open. People’s gazes met mine.
“Monster! It’s a monster!”
Bizarre-looking creatures surged into the room. Regaining my senses, I realized I was floating in the air, carried by an invisible snake.
‘Oh, this is Collen’s snake.’
Through the open doorway, one person walked in.
Thump. Thump.
The footsteps sounded unusually loud.
It was Collen, my father. He was striding confidently toward us.
“Leticia.”
Relief spread through my heart. I reached out my hand towards Collen.
“Dad is here.”
“…”
“So, who dared to take my daughter hostage?”
No one said a word.
Collen’s black hair and red eyes gave off an extremely dangerous aura.
The sight of him leading the group of magicians was terrifying to anyone who laid eyes on it.
“Ah, well, let’s start by dealing with the suspicious-looking guys first.”
