I am the villain in the book
#805 - Summary and leave
In terms of plot, Volume 8 still achieved my previous goals.
It explained Chu Xianping's dilemma of "rebellion or not," gave Li Zimu, Chu Xianping, and Tang Chen's stories a temporary ending, concluded the Seven Kingdoms War, and foreshadowed the development of the next plot.
Starting from the next volume, the pace of the story will accelerate, and I estimate that there will be no more large-scale national wars (after all, I found that writing battles is not my forte).
Also, the perspective will no longer be too scattered, and will basically revolve around Wei Changtian's narrative.
In fact, I have been deliberately compressing the space for supporting characters in Volume 8.
However, for the sake of the story's integrity, some things must be written, so it may give some readers a feeling of being "too ensemble."
How should I put it? This kind of writing should have its pros and cons.
After all, when I wrote You Jia's plot, I asked everyone whether the supporting characters' stories should be written simply or in detail.
And the answers I got at that time were basically more detailed.
It's just that now there are more and more important supporting characters, and it is difficult to balance the allocation of story space.
If written too little, the characters will not be three-dimensional enough, and will eventually become pure tool people, and will not leave a lasting impression.
If written too much, Wei Changtian's scenes will be compressed, and sometimes he won't even show up for several chapters.
So, that's why Chu Xianping and Tang Chen had to leave.
To be honest with everyone, their departure from Wei Changtian is actually inevitable from a story perspective.
On the one hand, with the plot pushed to this point, they don't have many choices other than leaving.
On the other hand, whether it's Chu Xianping's resourcefulness or Tang Chen's ability to "read minds," they are actually a bit too perverted.
If they continue to stay with Wei Changtian, then it can be said that Wei Changtian will hardly encounter any problems that he needs to solve himself.
Including Qin Zhengqiu before, if he doesn't leave, then Wei Changtian will be invincible.
"Invincible novels" may seem more refreshing, but I think they are too monotonous.
At the very least, for a novel of several million words, this kind of repetition is too boring.
So, even if it's not very pleasing, I would rather leave some plots that people can remember.
The above is what I wanted to say recently.
Although the updates in the past few days have been one update, the number of words is large.
Starting tomorrow, I will resume the normal two updates.
Thank you again, dear readers!
I wish you good health! May all go well with you!
