I Became My Unfortunate Female Lead

Chapter 6 - I'm Making FRIENDS

"Okay, that's it for today! Pick your things. You can have your lunch break after cleaning your areas."

The P.E instructor said after assigning everyone by group to clean the part of the gym they used. All the students from other sections were already finished. Athasia's class was left there.

She stood up from the bench and wiped the sweat all over her face. She's very exhausted. Athasia loved sports, but she didn't have the energy to play.

Just by running all over the court to play volleyball was enough to make her knees weak. She still preferred those otome games she played when she's still littleyoonie. She remembered all of her screenshots.

Those masculine tanned 2D men, that made her heart pound whenever she's playing. Her shoulders shrugged. 'Too bad. I got transmigrated in my own novel, not inside those games. huhuhu'

She stretched her arms and tilted her body from side to side. "I feel like dying already," she snorted.

A ball rolled on her feet. It must be one of the balls they used when practicing of serving. Athasia bent down and picked it up.

The half of her curvy waist almost showed off. "I don't even like volleyball. Why do I need to practice serving?" she clicked her tongue and frowned. "It's not like I'm going to join the tournament or something," she complained.

"Tournament?" A light chuckle escaped from another student's lips, and her black judgmental eyes looked down at Athasia. "You are too weak to play in the tournament." She took the ball from the Young Miss' hands and threw it up.

The ball flew like a ball of fire. She jumped and thrust her palm onto it, letting it fly like a flash of wind to the other side of the court.

Such a powerful serve!

As expected from Antonette, the volleyball team captain. Littleyoonie created her as a bad mouthed character. She liked to judge weak people by not even considering their ability.

Some of her teammates were suffering under her care.

A perfectionist captain.

Athasia almost left agape. She admits that she's quite surprised and amazed, and was a little proud too.

Everything here is from her novel, after all.

Antonette turned back to the meek Young Miss with her crossed arms. "Before you hate volleyball, ask yourself first if you can handle such sports," she leaned closer and smirked. "You can't even protect yourself from bullies."

She was about to leave when Athasia laughed. She curled like a ball and laughed like she's throwing some insults.

"Why are you laughing at me?!" Antonette frowned.

Athasia waved her hands in the air. "Sorry, sorry..it's just…I didn't even say that I hated volleyball, and you're overreacting like this." she said, tapping her stomach from laughing.

Though she secretly rolled her eyes. 'Shouldn't you be thanking me for making you the volleyball captain of my novel, tch!.' But of course, littleyoonie didn't say it out loud.

Only in her mind.

Antonette released a humph sound. "I love volleyball, and insulting it in front of me is unacceptable. I will not let this pass, Athasia," she fired back.

"Heh~" an evil grin curled up Athasia's mouth. She remembered the scene she wrote in her novel. The foundation day of their University. Where Antonette humiliated Athasia just because she couldn't do a single serve.

Athasia walked past by Antonette and reached for her shoulders. "I deeply apologize if I insulted you, team captain,"

She tapped the girl's back and said. "However, If I get the chance to learn volleyball, I won't be needing the court or a net."

The veins on Antonette's head popped out, that she grabbed the weak girl back.

"How will you be able to play volleyball if you don't have a net and a court?! Are you really mocking me?!" her eyes turned sharp and her teeth gritted.

Athasia paused. She slapped Antonette's hand away and massaged her wrist. "Why would I need the net and a court?.."

Her amethyst eyes once again gave a chilly glare. "...I can just serve the ball straight to your face anyway.."

Athasia's heels turned, and she waved her hands. "Geez, Now I'm hungry…" she walked away, carefree.

While Antonette got glued there, shocked and gnashing her teeth in wrath.

***

"Where have you been?"

Athasia bumped the girl using her right shoulder. She placed the tray next to hers and sat.

It surprised Callie. "I went to the s-storage room to put t-the brooms back…" she answered despite her stuttering lips.

Athasia moved out the plate with food and set aside the tray. She took a spoonful and chewed it. "Geez, I thought you left me already," she opened the bottle of soda, and took a sip.

"S-Sorry, I got too b-busy," Callie said, lowering her head.

'She's too cute, lmao..' Athasia thought to herself, swallowing the last food inside her mouth.

She leaned her elbow on the table and cupped her cheeks. "It's okay. I got some business to attend to." Again, she grinned like a cunning kid.

Seeing that mischievous smile, Callie gulped. Whenever Athasia showed that to her, she knew that this angel did something again. She then remained speechless and finished her food instead.

"What b-business a-are you t-talking a-about?" Callie couldn't help but beamed while asking.

This is the first time she ate lunch with anyone, and that small kindness from Athasia already got her so hooked. She couldn't help herself but to ask her new friend. Her eyes elated and she clenched her fist up below her face.

Athasia smiled at her, "Heh~" and chuckled.

The sunlight from the west side penetrated through the glass wall of the cafeteria, showering Athasia with the rays of the sun.

Like a goddess who got blessed under the sprinkle of light, her porcelain skin face became more stunning.

Athasia brushed her hair back to her ears and gazed at Callie with her illuminating amethyst eyes. "I'm making friends," she said.

The innocent Callie, who couldn't even bring herself to talk to anyone and make friends, sprang.. "That's so cool!" she exclaimed, enthusiastically.
