Chapter 4 - Omniscient Almighty Eye!

"Dammit!" Tsunade raised her first with anger. However, after glancing at Shen Mo's naive appearance, she put her hand down. This showed the advantage of the 'wage earner' image. No matter the luck of the draws, it had nothing to do with him.

"You have more of this sort of medicine jars, right?" Tsunade stared at Shen Mo as she felt stuffy in her chest and the only way to get rid of this frustration was to open more jars. "Of course." Shen Mo nodded as happiness spread through his heart. He couldn't be more aware of the emotion Tsunade was feeling. The more good stuff comes out, the more one wants to open them.

"Shizune." Tsunade took a swig of the sake and waved her hand, "Bring out the money!"

"Tsunade-sama." Shizune's faint voice sounded out, "We don't have much left."

"What?" Tsunade blinked, somewhat dumbfounded. "Did you forget how much you lost yesterday?" Shizune's face flashed with bitterness.

"...." Shen Mo was a bit stupefied. Putting aside the two free ones, I just put out eight jars and it only cost 400,000 ryō. Converted into Transaction Points, it was about 24,000. A dignified medical-nin, one of the Konoha Legendary Sannin, princess of the Senju clan, only had this much money?

"Haha haha." Tsunade laughed somewhat awkwardly, slapped her palm on the floor, leaned forward and said to Shen Mo, "I'll buy them on credit!"

"Hoh?" Tsunade's interest was piqued again, "Would be determined by you? What if it is something you can't comprehend, how would you decide its value?"

"Of course, I have my means." Shen Mo smirked mysteriously, "I'll guarantee the value is fair. If you have any objection, you can simply not trade."

There was another benefit to the system, free appraisal. Anything that could be used for transaction, would get appraised along with determining the value.

"Shizune, bring out the spoils from the previous war." Tsunade said while crossing her arms, emphasizing the words she uttered. Although Shen Mo's items had surprised quite a bit, she could see that he was an ordinary person without chakra and loose muscles.

"Yes, Tsunade-sama." Shizune got up left and returned after a while with some items. Although Tsunade had left Konoha, there were still some ninja from other villages that had attacked her, these items belonged to them.

"Give these a look-over. How much are they worth?" Tsunade's expression had a bit of playfulness to it. These were all ninja items like ninjutsu scrolls and katana. It would be difficult for someone not a shinobi to determine their value.

However, Shen Mo straightened two of his fingers before his glabella and said in a low voice, "Omniscient Almighty Eye, activate!" Instantly, in his glabella appeared a golden design slowly appeared with a bright light, emanating an incomprehensible aura.

Tsunade's expression froze at the sight. The pattern on Shen Mo's forehead seemed like an eye, however looking straight at it made her feel a slight stabbing pain. Shizune subconsciously lowered her head as an indescribable emotion took hold of her. Even if one didn't know what it was, they could still feel a noble aura. She couldn't gaze upon it directly and had no choice but be respectful. Tsunade had never seen nor heard of an eye with such a design.

Shen Mo took in the expressions of both of them and felt quite satisfied. If people from the modern era had seen the design, most of them would have been able to recognize it. After all, it was the Eye of Agamotto that Dr. Strange wore on his neck!

Shen Mo had spent 25,000 Transaction Points to trade for a customized pattern whose only function was to emanate a noble and mysterious aura. It wasn't cheap but it was completely worth the expenditure. It gave him an excuse for being able to determine the value of items and even sometimes during conversations reveal abilities like 'Foresight'.

"Three ninjutsu scrolls." Shen said pretentiously while reading out the appraisal results provided by the System, "They are C-rank Earth Release Earth-Style Wall, C-rank Earth Release Splitting Earth Revolving Palm and B-rank Water Release Water Shockwave. The B-rank scroll also has the ninjutsu insights from a jounin. Including the one elite katana, the total value is 3.6 million ryō."

Together these things were worth more than 200,000 TP. It was more than Shen Mo had imagined. However, it made sense as B-rank ninjutsu were already considered as powerful in this world and usually only jounin or above ninjas could master them. Something like A-rank techniques were kept secret and not taught frivolously, as such the price for them was incredibly high.

"You analyzed them without even unscrolling?" Tsunade silently stared at Shen Mo for a moment and suddenly took off her necklace, "Tell me, what's the price for this thing?"

"Tsunade-sama, that is...," Shizune called out in alarm. However, Tsunade didn't give any sort of response and just kept staring at Shen Mo. There was an unspeakable sorrow beneath that gaze. Shen Mo knew what this necklace was. It was something that originally belonged to the First Hokage. The chakra crystal on it responded to his chakra. Tsunade had given it to both her younger brother, Nawaki, and her lover, Katou Dan. However, they had died soon after receiving the necklace, leading some to believe the necklace was cursed.
