I created the Bureau of Anomaly Control

Tonas stood somewhat restrained at the foot of the steps, not daring to look up at the demon lord lounging in the chair before her.
The demon lord resembled an excessively obese worm, his arms having atrophied into what looked like two drops of snot hanging from his chest, and his four legs were so short that they seemed completely incapable of supporting his body. In reality, he didn't usually move around by supporting himself on his limbs, but rather by relying on the two pairs of somewhat deformed and exaggerated membranous wings on his back.
"Lord Goth, this is the newly born high-ranking demon we mentioned," Tonas said, her head lowered, as she handed the parchment recording Mann's influence towards the demon lord.
Goth shifted his bloated body, his eyes, narrowed into slits, revealing a dim green light. Then, the parchment in Tonas's hand floated towards him, and his fleshy face showed an obvious look of desire.
"Is he in your hands?" He wiggled his chubby body, looking eager to see this attractive new demon.
It seemed this deal would succeed.
Tonas had contacted several buyers, but either they weren't interested in the deal, or they couldn't offer a particularly suitable price. Finally, she had come to Goth.
But she hadn't come to him now because Goth couldn't afford a suitable price, but because she was somewhat reluctant to deal with this notoriously brutal demon. Goth had deep connections with the demons and devils of the Path of Ecstasy, but he didn't pursue simple pleasure like them, nor was he enthusiastic about physical contact.
Like those Ecstasy Demons, Goth had a unique pursuit of "beautiful" things, but he enjoyed destroying and ravaging these beautiful things even more, watching them slowly collapse and perish in body and spirit.
Therefore, when he was in a bad mood, he often killed the demons around him who were weaker than himself without restraint. Although they were now discussing business seriously, Tonas was still a little afraid that he would suddenly go mad.
Tonas cautiously replied:
"No, we didn't directly capture him, but we are tracking him. It will only take a little more time to figure out his exact location, and according to our observations, he may not notice the problem for several days."
A small badge floated out from under Goth's sticky body and into Tonas's hand.
He said with some glee:
"I am very satisfied with your goods. Once you find him, use this to summon me. Bring the contract."
Tonas happily handed the contract to Goth, watching him sign his name neatly. This transaction was considered smoothly finalized, and that high-ranking demon would become Goth's plaything for torture.
In fact, Tonas still had some sympathy for him. A high-ranking demon like him had the potential to become a demon lord in hell, and even if he died, he would mostly die in battle with other demons, and would not die as painfully and terribly as a low-level slave.
This was also thanks to the circulation of contracts now. In fact, before contracts became popular, demons didn't really like that messy stuff, and preferred the simplest physical enjoyment.
But that guy's death wasn't unjust either. Who told him to not even have the most basic vigilance? If he really had the potential to become a demon lord, he wouldn't have made such a stupid mistake.
Such so-called high-ranking demons were born to be stepping stones for other demons.
Having completed the transaction, Tonas immediately left Goth's territory and set off to meet her companions at the agreed location. If the plan was correct, Suwen'er was already waiting for her there.
Sure enough, when she opened the door and walked into the room, Suwen'er was sitting impatiently on a chair, casually flipping through a book on hell magic in his hand.
"You even read books?" she joked, feigning surprise.
Suwen'er closed the book in his hand:
"I don't like reading, but I know what's useful to me. How did it go?"
Tonas smiled:
"It's done. What about you?"
Suwen'er revealed a satisfied expression, and then said:
"According to the informant's information, the Little Devil has been inquiring about suitable jobs for his new master these days almost without eating or drinking, and he seems to have spent a lot of money to get information."
The informant he was talking about wasn't some particularly mysterious guy, but also a young demon who picked up trash in the new land. He usually only came to their area and could be considered a friend of the Little Devil.
Tonas nodded slightly:
"Then when are we going to make a move?"
Suwen'er replied:
"Don't rush. This Little Devil doesn't have much ability, but he's quite cautious. He hasn't left the street these days, nor has he been to the alley market, but I've already let the informant sprinkle some bait for him, but I haven't let go of him yet.
"It's not difficult to trick him out. By the way, what did you talk to him about?"
Tonas knew what he meant:
"We don't need to catch him directly. We just need to summon the buyer in a suitable environment. The buyer wants to give our target a little surprise. Even so, the price he offered is still very good."
Suwen'er said with a somewhat complaining tone:
"You still think too much. We can solve this matter ourselves. You've already seen that the guy doesn't even have the most basic sense of prevention. It's not easy for a few of us to subdue him.
"At least the price can be increased by half at that time."
In Suwen'er's view, this money was free money. Although Mann was a high-ranking demon, a newly born high-ranking demon would definitely not be better at fighting than them, these experienced great demons, not to mention that they had more people. If they were really cautious, they could temporarily hire a few thugs.
He couldn't see any reason not to do it himself.
Tonas asked somewhat helplessly:
"What you said is indeed correct. I also intuitively feel that he is not simple, but all high-ranking demons cannot be really simple, and they are very fragile when they are just born. Maybe only you can take him down, so it is indeed not difficult for us to solve this matter.
"But the question is how many mistakes can you make?"
Suwen'er said somewhat dissatisfied:
"We won't make mistakes. That guy probably won't be able to last half a minute in my hands."
Tonas looked into his eyes and said:
"The answer is once. We can only make one mistake.
"Of course, you can take this insignificant risk to fight him. We will eventually catch him smoothly, and we can use the same attitude to deal with everything. We will succeed countless times.
"But in the end, we will lose once, only once, which cannot be compared with our countless successes at all, but this one time is enough to end our short lives and die insignificantly like other demons.
"What exactly do you want, to be able to squander more money at this time…
"Or to become an awe-inspiring demon lord?"
