Chapter 20: How Do You Plan To Apologize (II/II)

[Fei Qiu: Bro, bro, bro. Don't go!]

[Fei Qiu: According to the latest news, Ji Yu went to the Teacher’s Office. Someone saw him working on a test, and he should be able to solve it by himself.]

He Zhou looked down at the text messages, replied [I know,] and put the phone in his pocket.

He had arrived outside the Teacher’s Office at this moment, but he did not go in, and instead, only stood in the corridor outside.

Through the window, he could clearly see the scene inside. All the teachers were busy with their own affairs, but from time to time they would look at the clock and then at Ji Yu.

Ji Yu sat in a middle of the room with his head down. From He Zhou’s perspective, he could only see the black back of Ji Yu’s head, his slender and fragile neck, and the pen that quickly flew.

He is the focal point of the entire office.

And also the focus of the whole school.

In the past two days, He Zhou can hear Ji Yu’s name no matter where he goes. There were both praises and scolds. On the homepage of the forum, almost all the topics were revolved around Ji Yu.

In short, in school, there is not a single person who do not know the name Ji Yu.

He Zhou pursed his lips, his eyes locked on the person in the office who was immersed in the exam.

Why did this person suddenly became so eye-catching?

He was like a diamond in the rough, once all the dirt was wiped off, his radiance shined through, attracting everyone’s attention all at once.

And He Zhou, himself, was reduced to being just another member of the common masses that was fascinated by this jewel.

He Zhou's eyebrows gradually curled up, and he felt uncomfortable.

But soon, his frowning brows loosened again, as he remembered the mark on Ji Yu's body.

That is the mark he left.

As long as there is that mark, no matter how dazzling Ji Yu is or will be in the future, Ji Yu is his person, his Omega, and no one can change that.

Besides, Ji Yu still likes him…

---

In the office, Ji Yu shook his wrist.

The difficulty of the questions on this test is indeed a bit higher than that of the monthly exam, but it's no problem. He can more than do it, though the steps are too annoying, and his hands are getting sore from writing so much. He had an urge to just grab the nearest teacher to come over and write, and just dictate to him directly.

"Is it all done?"

Upon hearing his movement, all the teachers' eyes focused on Ji Yu.

Ji Yu shook his head: "No, it will take a while."

Teacher Xiao Qiu, who had returned midway, took a bottle of mineral water from the drawer and put it on Ji Yu’s table: "Okay, okay, you can take your time, we won't disturb you."

Ji Yu raised his eyes: "Thank you."

He was about to lower his head and continue, when he caught a glimpse of something dangling past the window.

He raised his head and looked out the window carefully, but saw nothing.

Thinking that he had saw wrong, Ji Yu didn't think about it anymore, and return his attention to the test.

The clock is ticking, and time gradually passes.

Several teachers had already left because they had class, though there were still a few people left in the office.

Teacher Xiao Qiu couldn’t concentrate on writing her lesson plan anymore, so she just sat at her desk and waited for Ji Yu to finish.

Teacher Yu Song also did the same thing. Although he did have class in the afternoon, he made adjustments with another teacher so he could stay behind.

After waiting for a long time, Ji Yu finally put down his pen.

Several teachers who were still in the office stood up, walked to Ji Yu, and look at his test papers.

"Is it all done?"

Ji Yu nodded: "Yes."

“It only took sixty-seven minutes. How awesome, ah.”

“Lao Yu 6, please hurry up and grade the test for him. I have a class soon, so let me see his results before class, ok?”

“It looks alright at first glance. I think a score of 130 is certain.”

Yu Song had long prepared a red pen for marking mistake, but it didn’t get a chance to mark even once. At a glance, Yu Song could already guess what Ji Yu’s grade was, after all, he had graded hundreds of copies of this exact test, and couldn’t be more familiar with the answers.

He looked through Ji Yu’s answer sheet carefully, but still couldn't find a single mistake.

Moreover, Ji Yu writes so fast. For almost every problem, Ji Yu could come up with the correct solutions immediately after reading the question. Such fast-thinking ability is rare even among the Alpha students.

Yu Song's complexion became heavy.

He was wrong.

He had underestimated the Omegas, and also underestimated Ji Yu.

One minute later, the grading process was completed.

Yu Song put down the red pen, his face was pale: "Everything is correct."

Looking at Yu Song, Ji Yu showed a smile for the first time after coming to the Teacher’s Office.

His eyes were bent, his smile was harmless and good-looking, and the tone of his words were very playful, but the content went straight to Yu Song's heart:

"So teacher, how do you plan to apologize?"

Senior Class 3, after class.

A boy touched Song Cheng's arm: "Why are you in a daze? What are you thinking about?"

Song Cheng cupped his cheek in one hand and sighed with a sad face: "I'm thinking about where, what posture, and how loud I would have to call Ji Yu ‘Daddy’."

“Are you giving up?”

Song Cheng snorted, "I sat next to him. Do you think I’m not clear whether he cheated or not?"

"Then you have to wait for the results to come out officially. It's too early to surrender before they even come out—"

With a "bang", the classroom door was suddenly opened.

In the eyes of the whole class, Ji Yu walked into the class in high spirits, with one hand in his pocket.

As soon as he got back to his seat, Song Cheng leaned forward and asked tentatively, "I... Am I going to going to have to change my speech and call you ‘Daddy’?"

Ji Yu licked his lips and smiled: "Son, be good."

Song Cheng slapped the table: "I knew it!"

The boy who had just spoken to Song Cheng gulped, and silently stretch out two thumbs up to Song Cheng.

“Fuck fuck! Everyone go to the forum! Someone took a photo of the ranking!”

It was unclear who yelled, but all the students were unwilling to study anymore, and took out their phones to open the forum.

[Title: Am I blind or is there something wrong with the school system??? [Image] [image]]

TN:

1 本尊 [běn zūn]: lit. means ‘this god.’ It’s used facetiously to exaggerate everyone’s impression of JY as someone who’s causing all the chaos and trouble.

2 Lit. “could no longer hang on to their face.” They could not save face; ashamed; guilt.

3. 不信邪 [bù xìn xié] (to not believe in evil): originally, the meaning was literal, ie, not believing in evil things/ways. Now, it refers to not blindly following a trend/event, especially if said event are illogical or miraculous. Also means not being mislead by fallacies; not heeding warnings of bad things that may happen, etc. This shows up in a lot of CN novels, so you might as well familiarize yourself with it now.

4. 黑白分明的眼眸盯, [hēi bái fēn míng de yǎn móu] (lit. a gaze of black and white): The color of black and white represents good and evil respectively. So having a eyes/gaze capable to telling both of them apart means having the ability to distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong. Idiom.

5. gunpowder: Most CN novel addicts should know what this is, in case you don’t, it means shit’s about to go down. Gunpowder leads to gunfire, just like talking trash leads to getting yo ass beat.

6. Lao Yu (Old Yu): An informal form of address, for older/elderly males. Typically used between peers as an expression of familiarity and friendship. I like to leave it as ‘Lao’ instead of ‘old’, because it sounds more intimate for bros, and more ancient for the elderly.
