If the other side's party could use the gathered energy not only to seal, but also to attack, then this would put Kyoya's party at disadvantage which would hurt Kyoya's conscience.

Kyoya reassured as he saw through this, but it wasn't like his party could do the same. They protected themselves against each knife while Keria's party began trembling on the spot. It felt like they were holding back something within them!
