Xaya's powers surged, but it was her raw strength coming from her old age and death god's divine power. It was raw strength that solely worked with Xaya's wolf instincts, thus it totally didn't remind of her true path which was Deathbringer.

Her killing aura took the form of the ferocious black wolf that nearly made everyone except Kyoya and Mervase faint.

This aura and such thick genuine killing intent were too much for adventurers from the world pillar.

It hurt the closest ones as everyone wanted to help Kyoya and Xaya revenge Rosa, but the disparity between strength was just too huge. Even the husband's wife aura didn't allow anyone to come closer except Kyoya…

Not like Kyoya had any word here, his face just drenched in sweat as he kept cursing inwardly.

In the meantime, Mervase clearly listened to his god.

"Death God's disciple…"

"There is no reason for Death God's disciple to be here as such god is full of work. Their divine powers are in constant need of attention as thousand deaths happen every second… And yet… he sent someone here."

Rather than explaining the possible weakness of such a god, Lord Brye explained that Xaya shouldn't be in such a world pillar considering her strength and the death god's work.

He said it because Lord Brye wasn't a god who could go against the death god. Their statuses were far different and his disciples often met other death god's disciples for the believers' gathered energy.

However, he already made an appearance here. For Lord Brye, it would be scar on his heart if he backed off. Even more after promising such rewards for Mervase and his own plan to turn the world pillar into lightning belief's factory.

That was why Lord Brye slowly said, "I can lend you more power."

It was because Xaya shouldn't be here, even if her strength was sealed. The Death God also knew it, so Lord Brye expected Xaya's master to just put a blind eye to this battle and eventually take Xaya back to the death castle.

"Is it really… fine to go against her?"

Mervase was scared solely by the death god's title. His lust towards Xaya turned into regret and he no longer felt like looking at her, but the strong appearance had to be shown. He kept his eyes on her, but inwardly he even questioned his god out of fear.

This was an obvious reaction from someone from the world pillar, a mortal.

Lord Brye didn't comment on that, he just said, "She can not use her full strength, otherwise, Death God will stop her. She can be beaten."

That was why Mervase's strength also surged. It was slowly becoming stronger than his father as his god fueled the power out of his consciousness. The more power he felt, the more intoxicated Mercase became.

He set the goal high, then savored more on this feeling.

This caused Mervase to make an expression as if he was coming, so Xaya's eyebrow twitched. A filthy man became even more filthy? She felt like shredding through Mervase's body with her claws, but the power growth didn't slip her senses.

No matter what Xaya wouldn't turn back. Her graceful slow steps towards Mervase turned into a sprint where she charged straight at him. A powerful wolf aura dug through the whole underground, then the wolf's jaw opened as Mervase entered Xaya's reach.

"I won't disappoint My Lord!"

Mervase's steps became as fast as lightning allowing him to dodge the aura's charge. He then stomped on the ground quickly. Appearing behind Xaya in less than a few seconds, Mervase's sword let out a bright lightning slash that dug through Xaya's wolf aura slightly.

This alone scared Kyoya as he knew that Xaya couldn't just go all out carelessly like she did during the first meeting with Rosa. He tried to pass the message, but Xaya was solely relying on her stronger body and instincts.

She made a quick turn and sent her powers straight at her opponent.

"This is bad… Bad…"

Kyoya clenched his hands, looking around as if trying to find a way to help his wife. Because of that, Kyoya noticed all his party members just laying on the ground unconsciously.

Such display of strength caused everyone to faint except the leader who could hold on just because she was at the world pillar's peak strength.

She also nervously looked at the battle between lightning believer and wolf lady exchanging powerful techniques filled with unimaginable amounts of energy.

Xaya's aura alone was just destroying everything around as she moved, but Mervase was strong and his sword could cut through her manifested power.

It meant that at some point, he would be able to get close enough to hurt Xaya's body. This was what Kyoya and Marcia were worried about. He was not only constantly fueled by the god, but also followed his guidance to wear down Xaya.

However, Xaya was smart woman. She could tell the 'end' of this battle from the first wound on her manifested body. She was also no longer madly following her feelings like before where she would just smash her enemies with raw strength.

It might've looked like she was repeating the rash charge at her opponent, but it was what Xaya aimed for.

Amidst the exchange, Xaya's manifested aura disappeared thoroughly. It even exploded a little with raw power completely blinding Mervase. He couldn't react properly to Xaya suddenly stopping her strongest technique, but it allowed a yandere wife to come closer to him.

Once she did, her claws tore through his chest!

"Filth! I knew that there would be a day where some of you would come! You! You piece of shit god!"

Instantly insulting Lord Brye whose consciousness was within Mervase, Xaya's violent eyes narrowed as she began to deeply focus on Mervase's trembling eyes. Her claws kept digging through his chest, but those eyes were searching for the god!

It wasn't like the disciple of death god had no status to go for that, but Lord Brye was calm.

"Splendid."

He just commented shortly on Xaya's sudden attack, then used Mervase's lost flesh as 'sacrifice' with his concept. This was flesh Xaya dug out, so it was all over her body! Not expecting any of that, Xaya suddenly stopped as not only did this flesh explode with thousand lightning, Mervase's strength also surged.

It was just for one attack, but that was what the concept was for…

This one attack severed Xaya's arm from her body.

Xaya's whole arm fell far away from her, her power suddenly dropping heavily. She was also wounded more than just physically from this attack alone. In some sense, Xaya also lost the beauty from losing her arm.

Looking lost and worried, Xaya looked like a different woman to the husband, but not in the world would he blame his wife.

He just searched… for a way to help and kill Mervase on his own.
