It was unbelievable, but one year had already passed in the underground city.

Kyoya and his party totally immersed themselves in the training here as nothing else could be done. However, the bonding was possible and everyone always ate dinners together. This included Xiaoxiao and Noe who were fueling the orbs and getting the most benefits out of it.

The husband was also the husband and his nights were warm.

"I feel bad for not checking my disciples on the low floors… It's been one year already and I should prepare new quests… If they just keep getting quests to kill monsters close to them, then some calamity might descend on them."

"It's good as long as they keep doing quests, the husband."

Kyoya and Xaya were yet again strolling around the underground city.

They had yet to hear any voice like Olivia, but both of them were looking out for any creatures here.

The couple didn't mind their current lifestyle as it would make their future brighter and easier. Powerful strength required a lot of effort and sacrifice, so it was it. But it will be also rewarding to stomp on the higher floors later on!

Moreover, it wasn't like their progress halted and it was more than anyone expected except for the husband who was struck here without being able to reach his disciples properly. He still could see their strength growth through the disciple system, but the quests needed proper analysis.

Luckily enough, the husband's disciple system could give simple hunt quests based on the disciple's location.

"I wonder when this other side will open?"

"We can't even tell where this other side is, the husband."

"It sucks, but nothing suspicious was found on Noe and Xiaoxiao, so the strength growth is real and we can expect this quest to end smoothly."

"Yes, the husband. Congratulations!"

"It's our quest, stupid."

A few months later the other side began to react and its opening was already close.

The whole forces gathered in the middle of the underground city, genuinely shocking the husband's party.

The number of people under Venes was just overwhelming and it looked like a sect or some weird gathering with the black robes fluttering in unison.

It raised stress a little, but not to the point where everyone would be frozen to move or act.

"It seems like today is the day."

Venes appeared close to the husband's party, his hand holding the champagne! It was highly lethal champagne as it was actually poison and he didn't forget to tell the husband about it.

This champagne bursted out with purplish liquid and every black robed person got a little of it.

Venes, as the master, got another bottle for himself and fully drank it before continuing with his speech.

Of course, everyone from the husband's party was already looking at him differently, their eyes a little narrowed.

"Oh, welcome back, everyone!"

In a mood that was like on the banquet, Venes waved at people such as Xiaoxiao and Noe who returned from the orb fueling. They weren't exhausted or had any other symptoms of hard work.

Instead, every person looked lively and ready for an event.

Venes didn't miss the fact that Olivia came closer to the husband's party and prefered to stay with them.

"Everyone must've guessed that I know a little of what lies on the other side."

It was a truth that was easily to tell because Venes told everyone that the other side held something that the world pillar has never seen. It was enough, so everyone's eyes shone with bright light while waiting for revelation.

However, Venes's speech got stopped by the earthquake that suddenly erupted. The orbs scattered across the underground shone way too brightly and their elements began to go through the cracks.

Seeing this, Venes just chuckled and said, "You guys just gotta wait, haha!"

The cracks were all heading towards the middle where the explosion of various elements seemed to be an inevitable element. Soon, those colors all mixed in the middle and the ground shook the heaviest.

Some black robe people nearly fell, but then the black oval gate emerged out of the earth chunks.

"This gate… is leading to the other side? And what's here?"

The husband uttered what everyone had in their minds, then the gate opened itself. It was clear that the clash of elements was needed for both the opening and its appearance.

What gate revealed was beyond words. In the beginning, it looked like purple miasma, but then it began to wail and crack like a skin. Then, this very skin slithered on the other side and left the gate.

It was as if the thing on the other side knew that it couldn't leave…

"It was pretty big, wasn't it?"

Venes was the only one who could comment merrily.

He flicked, then the unknown formations activated around the orbs that were fueled by various people for all this time! Those orbs began to suck the whole floor's energies and the hell for residents began.

This was 'reward' for all this work for everyone and what lingered on the other side could only be acquired if one truly wanted to go for it. For now, no one felt like going here and waited for Venes's next move.

"I want to see the big boy, though. Forgive me, my dear allies."

Clicking his fingers yet again, Venes used a little of the gathered energy of the orbs to widen the gate. The whole underground shook and cracks spread more, forcing the gate to widen! Small creatures began to pop out of it first, though.

"The records said that this is the void race."

The void race's small creatures looked like purple spiders with sharp claws and legs. They had bright blue eyes that counted to nine. Those eyes shone brightly to this world and all of them began to scatter, their goal; the orbs.

"Don't let them get our rewards, dear allies. I will take care of the big boy now."

And then, the big boy appeared.

It was the tremendously big worm whose mouth stunk so much that ladies covered their noses the moment it appeared. The worm was likewise purple, but in a deeper shade and its teeth were the opposite; as if lightened.

This worm was challenged by Venes and so its teeth went straight for him first.

Boom!

Venes disappeared in the worm's mouth as it glued to the ground. Everyone close already scattered to the sides and looked at the biggest creature with shock in their eyes.

"No way he died, right?"

"How could he die without doing anything? Look, Kyoya…"

The worm's purple skin began to bubble with an unknown gas! It was really quick and more and more bubbles began to pop off on the worm's upper body! It began to wail and cry, then a little of its skin just exploded.

Its explosion scattered the unknown flesh throughout the whole underground.

"Fucktard. How do you like my candy?"

"..."

The worm roared in response! Even if it lost a little of its mouth, it turned out that its whole insides were filled with teeth and so it rapidly returned to the offensive!

Similarly, Venes was ready to share his candy as quickly!
